The vacation rental was fantastic for us. A short walk to Kailua beach, easy access to both central Kailua and Honolulu, and comfortable furniture. We had a wonderful time, and it was a lot of fun chatting with Judy.
It was a really nice holidays for my family with this wonderful Beach House.
My 25 years old son, and 22 years old daughter really enjoyed Kailua Beach at Kalama Beach park with your Body Surf Board equipment.
I hope we are going to come back to your Beach House again sometime in next year.
Thank you for your hospitality..
Our family of 4 (two older teens and 2 adults) loved our stay. The common area was spacious, and the bedrooms had plenty of room for sleeping and living. It was what we expected, roomy, exceptionally clean and in a very quiet location near the beach. The daily 5 min walk to the beach was wonderful for our family. We spent a few days just hanging out at the apartment and then most of our time was spent seeing Oahu. The location is perfect for getting all around the island and staying out of the craziness.
Lovely place, pictures donât do it justice! The kitchen is great and has everything you need. Everything was very clean and the beds are comfortable. On the very few instances there was a problem Judy responded immediately to help. One thing to keep in mind is on the windward side everyone leaves their windows open so sound travels. I have 2 young, loud boys so this was a little uncomfortable for me, I hope we didnât disturb her too much. Weâve rented other houses nearby with the concrete fence between the neighbors that may have been better than an Ohana/guest house in my particular case while the kids are young, so thatâs just something to keep in mind. Overall everything was great!
Judy's Beachside Corner was the perfect place to stay for our vacation! Judy provides all the amenities you have at home and it really felt like home away from home! The pictures and description are accurate, the place was very clean and well-maintained and it is conveniently located to many places we wanted to visit. It was close to the beach and nice to get up in the morning, take a cup of coffee and walk to see sunrises, which were amazing! Having a cooler, beach chairs, snorkel equipment and beach towels available to use was wonderful and used every day we were there. Judy is a wonderful hostess and we will definitely be back again. So much nicer than staying in a hotel. Thank you Judy for your lovely place, for making us feel at home and for accomendating us on our last day since we had a late night flight out of Honolulu.
We had a great visit to Kailua, and Judy's rental was an amazingly pleasant surprise! With a family of 5 (3 "kids", 20, 18, 14), things can get crowded. Not the case here! There was ample space to spread out, and even when we were all together upstairs in the family room / ktichen, there was never the feeling of it being crowded ~ in fact, it was quite the opposite.
The kids all stayed in the downstairs bedroom (which is very large), and we stayed in the upstairs bedroom just off the family room. Nice and quiet the whole time we were there.
Everything was very clean. Beach towels and toys were provided. And yes, given we were in Hawaii, we were out having fun. But whenever we returned, the environment was roomy and relaxing. It was a pleasure to live there.
Thanks Judy!
Great quiet Kailua location - close to beach, highway access, and town!
Judy's place had everything on our checklist. Plenty of space for two teenage boys to get away from their annoying parents and at the same time great family areas for us to have meals together and talk. The washer/dryer allowed us to pack light and Judy seems to have most of everything you might forget to bring like sunscreen and shampoo. The boogie boards are well-worn but work fine and it is nice to not have to buy beach chairs. We often used the BBQ (again, well-worn but works fine) and the very large backyard during our stay. The kitchen is fully furnished. The windows let in lots of sunlight, but if you prefer it you can draw the blinds and turn on the A/C; it stays nice and cool. The house is one block away from one of the main public beach accesses for that end of Kailua beach and a couple blocks away from highway access and Safeway. Very comfortable beds, very clean, and a sweet and wonderful owner.
We just spent an exceptional month at Judyâs beach house and it is a real pleasure to write our impressions.
Judyâs beach house is in a wonderful location; indeed at a short walking distance from a beautiful long sandy Kailua beach. Judy has thought of every detail that makes oneâs stay comfortable and enjoyable. The decoration is tasteful and blends well with the Hawaiian spirit: the living space is well thought of, the bedrooms and bedding are very comfortable, the kitchen is extremely well equipped and made it possible to prepare family meals at home. Everything was generously provided, from bathroom towels, to paper towels, many condiments, water filter, so many small details that you rarely find in rentals anywhere! Judy provided beach chairs, snorkeling masks, umbrellas. Without these we would not have been able to enjoy the beach as we did. Also Judy kindly made available to us a lot of useful visitor documentation and information on Oahu and Kailua.
Most importantly, Judy is an amazing host: her welcoming was heartwarming, after travelling for many many hours it was a blessing to land at her beach house. Judy puts a lot of love and attention in her place, not only is it beautiful, but is clean, and well-kept and maintained. She is a very responsive and helpful host with plenty of great ideas and advice, and she is fun to chat with.
Our stay at Judyâs is to be remembered and we would love to have the chance to come back!
My Husband and I had been to Oahu before and did the whole Waikiki/Honolulu thing. This time, we were determined to see other parts of the island. My Sister-In-Law is from Moanalua, so I was able to meet up with family while staying at Judy's. I felt very comfortable inviting them over to the town home and we even chilled there before/after our adventures one day.
The space was very clean. Everything we needed was there. I was able to easily cook breakfast for us (except the day we went to Boots & Kimo's of course). We had all the beach supplies we could possibly need for our beach day. We also found that Kailua is a great place to launch a day of exploring. We were able to see most of the island this trip. The Pali Lookout and arboretum aren't far and both were great places to play. We also were able to easily access the north shore and get over to Moanalua to see the family.
Judy takes great care of this property and really does her best to make it feel like a home that you are living in while in Kailua. Judy keeps it well stocked with things other visitors have left behind like bug spray and suntan lotion. She even has shampoo/conditioner tucked away in the medicine cabinet if you need it. We highly recommend this rental to get out of Honolulu, be in a comfortable home and enjoy some time on the beach or exploring the island.
Judy is easy to join anytime.
Best stocked apt we rented with VRBO ever
Street is a bit noisy and unfortunately a new neighbor was practicing his musical instrument too much
Oh wow! I don't know how to review our stay at this wonderful place that would do it justice. Our experience was nothing short of perfect. My wife and I stayed 30 days while I was on business in Hawaii. The owner, Judy, was a wonderful host and the high standards she sets for her property and guests cannot be overstated. The property was exactly or even better than described. The beach is so close and easy to get to. The property has so many amenities for guest to use and enjoy such as beach umbrella, beach chairs, boogie boards, coolers etc. The property itself is immaculately maintained with every possible thing one would find in their own home. The kitchen had every utensil you could possible want and a BBQ grill outside that is great for grilling. The location is excellent as it is in the small community of Kailua where one can find nice restaurants and an abundance of grocery stores, small eateries without the commercialization found in Waikiki. The drive to the airport is 20 minutes and for most of the drive avoids the usual traffic which can be significant as you go to Honolulu. There is no chance we would travel again to Hawaii without trying to book this property in the future. Judy is great, the property is fantastic, the town is nice, the beach is awesome - for us there was no disappointment of any kind.
Lastly, Judy maintains this property to a very high standard. To any guest thinking of booking here, please show the respect and care for it as if it was your own home. Its not a hotel and she will make you feel like you are welcome family.
Our stay in Kailua was fantastic. We stayed over a month in mid-August through mid-September and it was a perfect location. The host, Judy, was incredibly helpful. It was our first time to Hawaii, and she was very friendly and eager to give any advice we asked for. She communicated everything clearly in advance which eased any nerves we had about staying for that long in a place we hadn't been previously.
The property itself was very clean and modern, with traditional Hawaiian furniture in the main living space. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen got a lot of use and had everything that we needed.
The location of the property was very close to the beach, and a short walk to Kailua town. It's also close to both the H3 and the Pali Highways which make it a quick drive to get across the island to Honolulu. The neighborhood was very safe, and a perfect place to take daily walks. We did quite a bit of hiking in the area and the location placed us close to many beautiful hikes.
We'll rave about this stay for the rest of our lives and would completely recommend staying at Judy's to anyone. We hope to be back.
We stayed for 30 days and Judy was extremely accommodating and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Location is perfect, one block from Kailua Beach. Close enough to walk a surfboard to the beach. Shopping center with restaurants and grocery just a short walk away.
A nice yards for the kids.
Overall a great experience and place. Highly recommended.
The apartment was nice and clean. We liked staying at Judys house. It had all what we needed. The beach is beautiful. The town has several nice places for dinner.
We loved our stay here. Family of 4 and we mostly lived upstairs thanks to the extra mattresses. Judy was there when we arrived and we were shown how everything works. Judy had thought of all the little things and our stay was very comfortable. The beach was walking disantance which was great for walks in the evening with the kids. Mahalo Judy for our stay, it went too quickly!!
Thank you, Judy for a most wonderful, relaxing stay at your rental. It was quiet and clean. We appreciated the relaxing environment and the unit was so comfortable. We will definitely stay again and recommend this to anyone! Thank you, again.
Couldn't ask for anything more. Everything was perfect. The place was as good as I expected (given all the positive reviews). Nice short walk to a quiet beach, very clean, excellent host... Highly recommend to anyone wanting to spend some quality and peaceful time in Hawaii. My visit was wife/husband + three mature kids (19, 17, 15). Cable/dish channels were extensive (Worldcup 2018 now) and WiFi was excellent--a nice bonus to Hawaiian vacation.
We felt at home the moment we arrived at Judy's beach house. The property is roomy, bright, clean and private. My teenage son loved having his own large room downstairs, complete with big screen TV. The master bedroom upstairs was quite spacious and comfortable, with a huge walk-in closet. The bathroom was clean and well appointed with plenty of towels. The living area was large and quite comfy. Judy has everything you need to enjoy your stay, The walk to the beach is quick and easy. We would definitely stay again if we return to Kailua.
Judy's home is all that it is advertised to be. I recommend it. But don't do business with VRBO. I believe they exaggerate the urgency of "booking now". We booked in January for a stay April 1-4. On January 4, VRBO hit my account for the full expense ($1408.20) including the security deposit. So my money was in their hands for 3 full months before our stay at Judy's home. Today is 4-12-18 and the security deposit was returned today. They had that money for more than 13 weeks. Judy did not get paid until after we left.
Oahu is lovely; the Pearl Harbor tour is worth the trip alone. But find some other way than using VRBO or any of their affiliates to book a place to stay.
Aloha I am JudyâŠand I have lived in Hawaii for 48 years. I am a RE Broker in Hawaii and CaliforniaâŠ.and there is no where I would live but hereâŠ..PLease come and visit.
