Great accomodations! Clean! Nice bathroom. Lots of windows. Great little kitchen (no dining area/table). We had only four people, but three generations, so we did use the living room sofa as a bed. To me it would be a little small for six, but then I also appreciate when hosts allow for the true maximum people (in case needed), which Jeff does. Truly so close to "old town" shops and cafes. I had a little trouble with the digital lock (instructions didn't quite match the sequence of buttons). I also suggest painting the entry stairs a darker color (to hide the inevitable soil on the step risers). Once you are in the apartment though it was really lovely.
Upper unit that was updated beautifully, meticulously cleaned, and peaceful. Two things to be aware of - the only air conditioning is in the kitchen window so the bedrooms can get warm and stuffy. Multiple fans were provided. Also, the is no table or desk to work on, just a narrow counter with two backless stools. Would stay again, just an FYI for someone hoping to work from the rental.
My best friend and I have been to this property 3 or 4 times and have really enjoyed it. Jeff is great to work with and is always responsive. Weâll be back!
Always a great place to stay. The owners really take good care of the property. Geneva is awesome for shopping, eating, bar hopping, antiquing, etc. Just a great place to unwind & enjoy life
We loved the location to downtown. So many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Far enough though that it is quiet to sleep and enjoy some relaxing at the apartment.
My mom, aunts and I stayed a few nights to visit family in Geneva and this house was perfect. The proximity to downtown is awesome- just a quick walk down the block to shops, restaurants, and night life. The house was the perfect size for the four of us and it was clean.
Very charming and quaint home! The location is right in the heart of everything in downtown Geneva. All communication with Jeff was very quick and responsive! Highly recommend!
Good little 2nd floor apartment - very convenient to get in and out. Close to the river and several nice restaurants (walking distance).
Well maintained with new appliances. Just be careful with the bathroom door - it and the sink will bite you if not careful. đ
Wonderful location for a short walk to Genevaâs quaint downtown. Plenty of space for our family of three. We would stay here again and told our local friends to recommend it to future visitors.
Great weekend getaway, exactly as pictured. The house is very close to downtown Geneva so easy to walk to different shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay again!
The location is great for us. We have friends who live nearby. The house was perfect for us and our pets. A word of warning to those who follow us, they should have a book with facts about the area including restaurants, parks, and other amenities. It would have been really helpful if there were instructions for the five TV remote controls, only two of which seemed to do anything. The choice of channels, once I figured things out, was great with lots of streaming services including Netflix, Amazon Prime, Roku, Disney+, Paramount+, etc.
I had to buy a battery for the garage door opener. I also bought a can opener (there wasn't one in the house). We had to borrow stemmed wine glasses.
There are no microwavable dishes except for the Pyrex measuring cup I bought and left. The other dishes and cooking pots and pans are adequate. The gas grill was efficient.
There was only one wash cloth for the showers, but the host did bring us some new ones.
There were no dish towels. We bought a couple to leave.
There are no pillows for the back bedroom.
Other than the response we got for the wash cloths, the host was non-responsive to my emails.
The 212 South First Street property is highly recommended! I'm in town periodically to visit family. Each trip has been a breeze. Location, amenities and quality of my stay is outstanding! Will definitely stay here again.
