I really liked this unit, overall. However, there are safety concerns due to a window being left unlocked when I arrived, as well as only one way to lock the door. I had to go outside the unit to figure out how to lock it the window, which I WAS able to do. This is a concern because this unit is on ground level and right on the "Main drag" in Helen, GA. It's also directly beside a popular store/bar/restaurant, frequented by bikers riding on the popular blue ridge mountains biking route. I never felt we were in danger and I don't feel this is a dangerous area (otherwise I would not bring my child) but simply knowing the transient nature of the biker community, strangers visiting on vacation and the direct proximity to nightlife, I think more should be done for security. I didn't feel fully "secure" inside the unit. There should be additional locks on the door and something more secure on the window so it isn't so easily opened from the outside if the window is accidentally left unlocked again.

My door code and GPS !!!!!

After putting address in GPS would not locate property kept sending us to the one that has the four rooms in it and when I got my confirmation it said f on it not where I was actually staying!!! My door code unlock the outside door for the four room building and it was also my room code I think that's very unprofessional I talked with people about finding the right location we found it but they knew also that that door code unlock that door on the outside of the four apartment building and mine at my room no one suggested or attempted to change the code!! Accommodations was wonderful clean very nice but I have to think really hard about recommending this place or this company to anyone because of the safety factor with the same code unlocking two doors because it could have been a woman with two kids or two women staying there and I would not blame them for not feeling safe!!! Stay in Helen 3 to 5 times a year but really have to think hard about using this company again for any travel that I make!!! I hope that y'all will address this issue because I don't want anyone to get hurt or their stuff stolen because of the code unlocking in the outside door of the four room apartment and this door so I hope that VRBO looks at this issue and handles it properly because everyone can make mistakes but when they are made they need to be corrected because this could be a very serious issue if someone was hurt or their property was stolen !!!! But after saying that I was very satisfied with the property the cleanest and it's a wonderful place to stay but the door issue is definitely a problem that needs to be looked at!!!

In our check-in instructions, we note that each rental has a name and let guests know which they are staying at. The names are easy to find on each of the doors. The codes are different for each rental for guest safety. We have reviewed this with the local staff and they have confirmed that each door will only open with its specific code. Nice place to stay no problems except for the bed it needs a mattress it is to soft and no matter how we laid we rolled to the middle of the bed.

Great location, perfect for a couple, very clean

This is the perfect location for a stay in Helen. We were able to walk everywhere in town, the grocery store I’d literally right next door and the amazing Hoffer’s bakery is maybe 3 minutes away. It’s a cute all in one studio, very clean and perfect for my husband and I.

Fun place!

This place is in a great location - walking distance to 2 really great breakfast places (Hofer's and Cimmi's) as well as the grocery store! A decent walk into town if you are planning buying lots of stuff - we ended up paying for parking so we could load up all our goodies - but was really a great location! The room was comfortable - great TV, and the shower was to die for! Will stay again!

Fantastic Stay!

We loved this little hidden gem. Not only was it close to everything but it was extremely clean, had updated decor, a comfortable bed, a handicap accessible shower which was hot and powerful. If I had anything negative to say, we wouldve loved a hook on the bathroom door for towels and a step outside the front door.

Decent experience.

The place was located in a great area. The room was nice and quiet. The parking spot infront of the room had a huge hole so you got to be careful. The only 2 issues I had was that the outside light could not be turned off. You could see it while trying to sleep😔. The bathroom had issues. 1 draw can't open cause the window is in the way and the window shades leave opening so people can see you using the bathroom😬.
