Stayed for a night here with my fiance. Check in was easy and receptionist was pleasant. Step into the room and floors are sticky. Front door is all glass with blinds enclosed in a glass case with handles to adjust for brightness/privacy. Handle was snapped off so blinds could not be closed and privacy was compromised the entire evening in the major living space of the rental. Arm of the couch was broken and hanging. Property advertised a hot tub in master. Long black hair was dried and clinging to the filter in the tub with visible brown grime along the jets and the drain. In our disappointment, we get ready for bed, close the master bedroom door, and find the used towel of the previous person staying still hanging on the hook behind the door. COVID aside, basic cleaning of a rental property is the least anyone could ask for. Informed the agent at the front desk the following morning of our experience and condition of the rental, she took down my contact information and told me the property manager would get back to me. Never heard from them. I wish I could upload the pictures from this place in my review. Please do not stay here. Would be better off at a motel.
This property was just perfect---clean and cute! The view of the water and the bridge was wonderful! The weather could not have been any more beautiful for October. Even enjoyed coffee at the outside table one day. We would certainly come back here again!!
My girlfriend and I worked from one of the Snug Harbor Inn luxury cottages for the week. It was a great little place for us. Really, the only issues were the internet, which was a little shoddy from time to time; and the fact that the oven didn't close all the way, which caused one of our fire alarms to go off when we were cooking. We also had to deal with things being closed for the winter and from COVID, but it was just poor timing that way. Outside of that, it was a beautiful view and a cozy place to settle into for the week.
In sum, I'd totally recommend this place!
Overall, lovely property and would stay again. Cabin was nice furnished and lake view was amazing. Owner was very pleasant although front desk woman when we arrived for check-in was less than personable. I had been told that we were allowed to check in at 3pm, Patty the owner even said if we got in an hour early to just let them know and if the room was ready, she'd be happy to let us know early. The woman at the front seemed very angry when I checked in, becoming a little argumentative when I mentioned what we were told about check-in. She pulled someone else's paperwork and accused me of saying I wouldn't arrive until 5pm (it was 3, stated check-in time) until I told her she had paperwork for some other guest. I was also a little surprised to return to property Sunday after going for some scenic picture taking with my daughters to find housekeeping going into our cabin without a mask right now when we were told there would be no daily housekeeping due to the pandemic. There were just minor things that I could overlook though as the places owners seem to be ver nice and it gave me the opportunity to take my daughters away for peace and much needed quiet!
We are a family-owned and operated hotel in beautiful Sturgeon Bay, WI. I was a school teacher and my husband a welding inspector but decided to try our hand at running a hotel . We started 30 years ago and have never looked back. We love it! It does get a bit cold in the winter.... haha
Dogs are allowed! They must be at least one year of age and fully potty trained. We also ask that they not be left alone in the unit. Please inquire about our full pet policy and pet-sitting suggestions. The cost for your pet is $15 per night plus tax.
