MERVEILLEUX COIN DE PARADIS SUSPENDU ENTRE CIEL ET MER

La villa est située sur le côté sud de l'île, sur le versant de la colline Tuoro, comme suspendue entre mer et ciel, avec une vue exceptionnelle sur la mer et tout le pays. La maison principale dispose de trois chambres, dont deux doubles et une avec deux lits simples, deux salles de bains, cuisine entièrement équipée, grand salon. Dans le jardin, il y a une dépendance de luxe avec une chambre double, une salle de bains et sa propre terrasse. L'espace extérieur comprend plusieurs terrasses meublées, une piscine de 4 x 6,50 mètres, équipée de transats et douche. Le reste grand parc avec maquis méditerranéen.
La villa est accessible en 10-12 minutes à pied depuis la petite place de Capri, toute plate jusqu'à la porte de la villa, qui peut donc également être atteinte par les chariots électriques typiques de l'île.
La villa peut normalement accueillir huit personnes, mais il est possible d'ajouter des lits jusqu'à un maximum de quatre, en utilisant deux canapés
chacune avec deux lits très confortables.

Piscine ouverte du 1er juin au 30 septembre. Les dates d'ouverture et de fermeture sont cependant flexibles en fonction de l'heure.

Si vous le souhaitez, le petit-déjeuner peut être fourni, uniquement sur demande préalable auprès du propriétaire. Coûts: Petit déjeuner continental 15 euros par personne et par jour / Petit déjeuner américain 25 euros par personne et par jour.

We had a fabulous vacation! The villa suited our needs perfectly. It was spacious for our family to spread out and relax. The outdoor terraces provided amazing views over Caprì where we could enjoy family meals and space for the kids to also enjoy free time. We had some amazing lazy afternoons by the pool and early morning yoga and fitness too. There are a lot of stairs characteristic of all of the Amalfi coast and Capri and part of its charm. Combined with breathtaking views, look outs and accessible to a vast variety of restaurants and easier slopes to balance out the stairs made for a well rounded adventure where you could enjoy eating and experience “la dolce vita” and be able to walk it off. Reda was amazing in helping us figure out the island, troubleshoot logistical details and arrange day trips and shopping. Lastly the professor, Seniore Giuseppe is a most welcoming host of both his villa and the magic of Capri. We look forward to returning.

The villa was very nice, and it is in a stunning setting. If you are looking for a vacation in Capri with a breathtaking view and with plenty of space and privacy, this is it. The owner and all of his recommended staff (porter for bags from La Piazetta, housekeeper, etc.) were fantastic and really made our stay effortless. The pictures are very accurate in portraying the property as we found it. Not everything there is shiny and brand new, but it was very clean, comfortable, well kept, and everything we needed. Note that there are actually two separate buildings with the second one having only a one bedroom suite. The only negative i will point out is that the walk from the villa to La Piazetta and other places is substantial, and walking is the only option (no taxi). If you have not been to Capri, don't underestimate the amount of walking you will need to do to get between the villa and restaurants, shopping, etc. It was fine for us as a young group that needed to burn off all of the pasta we ate, but it may not be comfortable for some. You cannot have the spectacular views of this villa without getting there first, but it is something to consider.

Ho apprezzato moltissimo il giudizio espresso da questi simpaticissimi ed educatissimi ospiti sulla mia casa,molto gratificante per me per gli sforzi continui profusi per mantenere alto il livello di decoro della villa e soddisfare anche le aspettative più esigenti.Che la casa sia lontana dal centro è luogo comune da sfatare,tutte le ville a Capri sono in collina e piene di scale,nessuna al centro. L'isola e' però tanto piccola da tenerla sempre in pugno,per se collinosa e rocciosa,la sua bellezza è tutta qui.Camminare per 15 minuti dalla Piazzetta non è una fatica,ma l'immersione in un paesaggio di incomparabile bellezza da cui lo spirito trae forza e vigore nuovo.Per i più...pigroni poi c'è sempre l'alternativa dei carrrellini elettrici,tipici di Capri,che arrivano fino al cancello della villa anche col bagaglio e tutto lo shopping che si vuole.Affettuosamente grazie,cari amici.

Impossible location

We rented this house based on the description provided by the owner that the house was a short walk from the town of Capri. Capri, is a rather hilly island which we of course knew, but based on his description the house was easily accessible from the town. We are all very fit in my family, but even we were not prepared for the EXTREMELY arduous trek uphill to reach this house! To make matters worse there are 110 steep steps followed by a steep zig zag ramp!! There is a back entrance as well but you must utilize a dirt track which smells like dog urine. The house was overall clean, but the outside was a bit run down. There was debris left outside in the back and the steps and some of the porches had not been swept in some time. There were 4 or 5 broken fans in a closet and without air conditioning this was extremely hot. The owner is insisting we left early for reasons other than the horrendously steep walk every time you left the house. Not so! He needs to be honest with future travelers about the tough and incredibly inconvenient location.

La mia villa ha una “possible location”,è una delle tantissime ville sparse sulle colline di Capri,ovunque con accesso obbligato di rampe di scale.I miei ospiti sono tutti felicissimi di non avere problemi di auto,di parcheggio,camminano volentieri senza ammalarsi,attratti dal panorama intorno,hanno occhi solo per questo e non per il selciato ricoperto di aghi di pino.Sanno bene che la contemplazione della bellezza richiede animo sereno,elevato,predisposto a ricevere luce ed ispirazione.

Magic and heaven on earth 💓

There are no words to describe how beautiful my experience was in Capri and it had everything to do with my incredible host, Giuseppe Salvia. Giuseppe has been a professor of Latin and Greek and geography on the island of Capri for over three generations. His wisdom and beautiful heart created magic for me and I made a friend that I will have forever. This is the most beautiful villa set on the top of the hill in Capri with an incredible pool that overlooks the roof of the Villa. I have just finished my first year in architecture school and I’ve been traveling for the past month through Europe and it is because of this incredible stay with my amazing host that I was able to make the most out of my time in Capri. The MOST AMAZING stay

When we arrived ,Ivan, the housekeeper, helped us to arrange for our bags to be taken to the house and showed us around. Throughout our stay he acted as our concierge. Both Ivan and Professor Salvia were delightful. The villa is beautiful with views you can only dream of. Nesting in the beautiful pine woods with views over the marina piccolo. Yes it's high up but you will work off the sumptuous pasta dishes. The annex was a lovely surprise as well. The pool is much bigger and better than the pictures. Please don't book it all up for next summer as we will be back again. The BEST place we have ever stayed.

Außengewöhnlich! Wunderbares Domizil mit prachtvollem Blick

Es waren wunderbare 12 Tage auf Capri. Wir als 6-köpfige Familie haben es rundherum sehr genossen. Das Haus von Professor Salvia ist wunderschön. Es ist großzügig mit mehreren Schlafzimmern und sogar einem kleinen Gästehaus, wenn man es ganz ruhig haben möchte. Der Blick ist sensationell ob Tag oder Nacht. Das Haus lädt ein, sich dort aufzuhalten: Ein Pool zur Erfrischung, kleine und große Terrassen zum Lesen, Spielen oder auch, um sich zurückzuziehen. So hat man die Wahl: Ausflüge durch das schöne, elegante Capri oder zu anderen Plätzen der Insel oder einfach Ruhe tanken. Alle Orte auf Capri könnten erlaufen werden. Autos sind unerwünscht und nicht sinnvoll. Dafür gibt es von Capri aus Busse, die regelmäßig nach Anacapri fahren. Ansonsten gibt es nette "Porters", die für ein Entgelt "Koffer/Food" an Ort und Stelle bringen. Die Insel ist durchzogen von wunderbaren engen Gassen. Professor Salvia ist ein toller Vermieter, der auf alle Fragen, auch kultureller Natur, Antworten hat und vor allem Anregungen geben kann. Er ist verwurzelt mit dieser Insel seit Generationen und weiß, wovon er redet. Ivan ist für jede Frage da und hilft, wo er nur kann. Es war rundherum ein Wohlfühlpaket! Danke sehr!

Bella proprietà ma lontana dal centro

Bella casa per 8 persone con una vista bellissima su Capri e un proprietario gentilissimo che è stato sempre disponibile e ci ha aiutato anche in varie prenotazioni in locali capresi. L’unico lato negativo e’ il fatto che per raggiungere la casa dal centro si impiegano circa 15 min e ci sono tanti scalini per arrivare alla casa.

Wonderful family vacation with fantastic Hosts

The villa was wonderful, perfect views & the pool and patios were especially a treat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Prof. Salvia and Ivan were amazing with all of their help and recommendations and truly making us feel at home in Capri. They were fantastic hosts, always reachable and great communication. Our family had a wonderful and memorable stay and would recommend his lovely home to anyone. Very nice location, close to markets, restaurants, etc but away from the touristy busy center square so you are also able to truly relax and enjoy. N.B. for guests: there are a lot of stairs/ramps all around Capri and to get to/from the villa.

Incredible Vacation

Six of us very much enjoyed our stay at the villa. It easily could have slept more people. We were greeted at the ferry and helped to the villa with our bags - we received the same help on the way out as well. Giuseppe also helped us make reservations while we were in Capri. Clean towels and linens were provided. Views were spectacular.

Gorgeous Views and a Wonderful Host

Our family enjoyed our stay at the "Wonderful Corner God Paradise Suspended Between Sky and Sea"! Professore Salvia and his assistant, Ivan, were wonderful hosts and a great resource for everything Capri. Ivan met us at the port and helped arrange to get our luggage to the villa. Paying around 8EU per bag to the transportation company seemed excessive until we made a climb to the villa. It was money well spent. The climb was also worth every step. The views from the villa were magical. The photos on the website do not do it justice. Also, the pool (that is lit up at night) gives a much needed respite to the weary traveller. Overall, the two houses were very convenient and delightfully decorated. Amazing views from practically every bedroom. We loved the pool, enjoyed the sun-heated showers, and appreciated that on cloudy days water could be heated by the electrical heater. It was also great to have access to a coffee maker and a washing machine plus a myriad of utensils, cups, bowls, cookware, and glasses of every kind. Also, Professore provided us with many water bottles, both still and sparking. The only challenge we experienced was in the kitchen: we were not familiar with the type of gas stove and it took a bit to get used to. The flame kept turning off immediately after being lit. Turns out, you have to hold the switch in the "light" position for few seconds after lighting the stove, then the flames kept going. Last thing of notice - there is no WIFI in the house. There is a WIFI router and you can pick up an inexpensive sim card for it at one of the nearby stores (unless you arrive on a holiday or after business hours). If you need internet immediately upon your arrival - reach out to Professore ahead of time. He has magical ways of finding solutions! Overall, our stay was magical and we look forward to returning again. Thank you, Professore!

Great villa with amazing views

The villa is clean, spacious and well equipped, with 3 bedrooms in the main villa (2 with double beds and 1 with 2 singles). There is also a separate building with a double bed and its own bathroom (so lots of room for 5 of us). The lounge has TV, radio etc and the sofas were comfortable. The decor is very nice. The photos are a good reflection of the villa, if anything the villa looked better in reality than the photos. The is plenty of space for eating / drinking outdoors - the main area for seating has a large table and plenty of seats. There is also a smaller table and chairs looking down onto the ocean. There is a BBQ provided although we didn't get round to using it. The pool was clean, a good size and great for cooling off in the hot weather (and it was very hot when we visited!) Prof Salvia and Ivan were friendly and helpful. They did not intrude on our privacy which was good, and were contactable if we needed them. The villa is approximately 20 minutes walk from the centre of Capri, in easy walking distance. There is a bit of a climb on the approach to the villa - something to be aware of. Not really an issue for us though, and you don't get such good views if you are lower down. I'd say it was worth it! You can get your luggage delivered to the villa when you arrive - something to consider if your bags are very heavy. There is a supermarket 10 minutes walk away and restaurants even closer, so you don't necessarily need to go into town every time you want a meal out. The only thing I could think of to improve the villa would be air conditioning. However there are mosquito nets in the bedrooms so windows / doors can be kept open and also there are fans provided. It was also exceptionally hot when we visited (40 degrees C). I would point out that we felt very safe there, so comfortable leaving doors / windows open. I would recommend the villa and would love to visit again!

We cannot say enough good things about Prof. Salvia and his beautiful home.

Prof. Salvia helped make our stay magical, welcoming us, arranging for us a boat ride around the island, helping us in every way. We all (seven of us) very much enjoyed our stay at Prof. Salvia's beautiful house. The flowers, the terraces, the views: it was very beautiful and memorable.
