Relaxing oceanfront

This lovely cottage was in a great location, inviting and clean. We loved exploring the tides right from the deck. Owners are easily contacted and check in was very smooth. We had a wonderful time exploring and relaxing at the cottage, as well.

amazing PEI vacation

What an amazing property!!! Right on the ocean. We took long walks down the coast when the tide was out, and went swimming every night when the tide was in. Such a great property: my parents (who are seniors) came with us, and both couples felt like we had our own space. AC unit in the upstairs bedroom is very appreciated (we turned on the AC in the afternoon, but the house was nice and cool in the evening without the AC). Summerside is a close drive away, and it was easy to drive to other sites of interest!

We had a great time at this beautiful waterfront property. The location is ideal. It is a short drive to summerside and located right on the water.

Million dollar view.

The view was breathtaking and the low tides allowed us to walk way out and bring back razor clams for dinner. The cottage had a great floor plan but a bit tired. Some mattresses and two living room chairs need to be replaced. Kitchen is exceptionally well equipped. Mosquito repellent is an absolute must. Communication with owner was easy and problem free. Idyllic setting with great privacy and close to everything.

Amazing beachfront stay

We had a great time at Brian & Jacqui’s place. This was our first visit to PEI - the place is perfect for families. At low tide, you can walk out for miles. Our kids loved digging for clams & oysters and finding crabs & shells. The sunset at night is also fantastic. Strongly recommend bringing bug spray as the front of the house can be buggy but we were able to relax on the deck/beach without issue.

Amazing rental on the water

We loved this house! It’s literally right on the water. The beach has wonderful rocks and shells and low tide is spectacular! It’s also very close to Summerside which has some cute shops and restaurant and excellent coffee. The kitchen was well stocked with nice pots and pans and basic stuff for cooking. The bedrooms are nice, especially the first floor queen that has a slider onto the deck. The upper bedroom only has a partial wall to the ceiling but it’s a nice little suite with it’s own a/c unit. There are lots of ceiling fans so we didn’t use the a/c at all during our stay (beginning of July). The owners are very responsive! I couldn’t find the lockbox and they answered right away to help. It was right in front of me! This is a great house for a group! It’s a quirky, charming, quiet and calm place! It’s definitely a place to rejuvenate and relax. I’ll be back!

Great location but quite a few defficiencies.

The location is awesome and overall the place is ok but far from the previously advertised "luxury" status. There were quite a few issues that, at this price, we did not expect: no provisions in the kitchen like sugar, spices, coffee, tea or cooking oil. No shampoo or soap for showering. The mattresses in the main bedrooms were hard and not very comfortable. The windows in the main living room can't be opened. The fridge was unable to keep our food very cold. The armchairs in the living room were rather grimy and very uncomfortable. Low water pressure in the kitchen. Broken and unusable patio umbrellas. One bedroom light not working. The owners did attempt to remedy things somewhat but since they're outside the province the response times are not ideal. The place has potential and as mentioned the location is great. Not sure if this is good value for the money at this point. It certainly didn't meet our expectations. Almost forgot to mention: the smart TV was nice to have and the internet service was very good.

A beautiful setting on the shores of Northumberland Strait! Fabulous sunsets , sunrises , and a full moon shimmering over the water. The home is in wonderful condition & perfectly set up for a memorable family vacation. Sitting on the patio viewing the water ....so relaxing after a day on the golf course. Memories to last !

Wonderful Family Time In Miscouche

Our family of five ( four adults, one toddler )had a wonderful week in the Miscouche/Summerside area and the cottage met our needs very well. The chalet was very clean on entry .The main floor dining and living area had lots of room to enjoy games, puzzles and reading. The roomy kitchen was well stocked with all we needed. The bedroom layout was perfect for us as well. We really enjoyed the large deck and the sounds and sight of the ocean. We were very close to places to explore , enjoying the Confederation Trail for biking, the Summerside boardwalk for walking and the playground in Wellington. Viva La Crepe food truck, a short drive from the cottage ,was amazing as was the ice cream at Holman's and the coffee at Samuels in Summerside!! We enjoyed many enjoyable day trips within a sixty minute drive. Great location!

Family Trip PEI 23

This property was just as described and even nicer than the pictures. Beautiful location right on the waters edge. Very close to amenities. We had our four children with us from age 11 to 17 and we had ample room and privacy for each of us when needed. The sunsets were beautiful. We had communications with the owners a couple days before arrival for the entry code and they checked in with us mid week and then we reached out on the day we left. Very responsive and little communication was needed as everything we needed met our expectations! We would definitely recommend and hope to return again. Thank you.

Relaxing

The cottage was well equipped and as described. The access to the beach is within 50’ of the deck. At high tide the water depth is 3-4’ so you will need to wade out a fair way to get into deeper water. At low tide you can walk for miles, do a little clam digging or just enjoy the serenity and beauty of your surroundings. Beds are comfortable but if you are use to a king it’s a bit cramped. Our host Brian was outstanding and very responsive; the bbq crapped out and was replaced the next day with a new one.We enjoyed our stay and would certainly return.

Great location.

We were very happy with the location, and the house when we got there . However , we were very disappointed with the various repairs that need to be done in the house. Someone in June commented about the patio doors , and windows not working. We, arrived at the end of July , and clearly , nothing had been done. Neither patio door worked. And the big windows all across the front of the cottage , either wouldn’t open , or wouldn’t close if you did get it open. The tv was difficult to get working. And after speaking with Jacqui for half an hour , we finally got it working , only to find out there were actually only two channels that worked. We were woken up two nights by the Non functioning alarm system that just beeped as if there was a low battery . We were left no instructions on when the garbage /recycling was picked up. And when we questioned the owner , he didn’t know either . Over all , we loved the location, and the house , but felt it would be much easier renting a VRBO from an owner who actually lived near by and knew the house and property.

Beautiful location

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was perfect for kids and we went into the ocean multiple times a day. The house lay out was great for kids and relaxing. The only reason I didn’t put a 5/5 for our stay is because a few things in the house were broken and low stock/missing some house essentials. We would definitely rent again!

I gave the cottage two stars because the view is amazing ! However, We arrived at the cottage on June 14th. I tried numerous times to get a hold of the owner to give us the code for the key box. We had no idea how to get in. I finally found a phone number and it was their son's phone. He said his parents were working he would call them and he did call back with the number for the key box. When we finally got into the house I thought we had hit the jackpot , a piece of heaven ! Looking out of the windows and sliding glass door to the beach is amazing until you find out you cannot get any ot those windows or the sliding glass doors open !! The owner called and I mentioned that , and then he had his son talk to me about the TV and how to use it . Only to find out the TV was not hooked up or plugged in . Thankfully my family came over to visit and could do that for us as it took three of them to get it done because the TV is so big ! . The binder that should have all the needed information in it but it only had a pamphlet on how to use the microwave , no local contact numbers, or garbage day things we needed to know and expect to be there. I asked the owner and he did not know the info we needed, but said they were working on a page for the binder. Did not do us any good ! Our first night the bed in the main floor squeaks so much you can hear it in the living room ( and every night ) and very uncomfortable. The fact that with the sliding glass doors all jammed in it w

Great Location! Wonderful Home & Property.

We simply loved the location in a quiet area near Miscouche......right on the beach/ocean [ Northumberland Stait]. Great sunsets ! The home had everything that we could ask for....spacious living room area ; a large deck ideal for relaxing & grilling & enjoying the spectacular views. Only a 10 minute drive to Summerside. Good sized bedrooms & kitchen/dining area. Our family gave it 5 Stars! Would not hesitate to return in the future...

Oceanside vacation

The property sits on a gorgeous location overlooking the ocean. The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. The tide goes our very far creating a great beach for long walks. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Miscouche.

Nirvana!

We have just returned to Pennsylvania. It will take me some time to get over my sadness at leaving a beautiful, magical property and the island, itself. Brian and Jacqui were superb with timely responses and continued to check in over our two week stay. Terry and Jerry were local and met any and all needs over the first few days. Highly recommend. It’s a lovely, well-furnished home with an unforgettable view.

Best vacation location on the island

Amazing spot, close to groceries and everything you need(about 10 min drive) while also being very private. We had the beach to ourselves a good 90% of the time. Can’t say enough good things about this one.

Great Beach House Vacation

Everything about dealing with Brian(owner)was a positive experience with us. The location of the property is second to none. The house is equipped with all of the amenities that you need(bell satellite, wi-fi, etc.) Lots of open space and very bright throughout the house. AC keeps kitchen, eating area and living room nice and cool. The bedrooms downstairs and upstairs get quite warm during the day. In the evening there is always a nice breeze so if you open the windows in the front bedroom it cools it down. Overall I would give this a 5 star rating. We will be returning in 2023!

We will be back! Gorgeous location

Spacious cottage with room for kid space & adult space. Can’t beat the location - 10 min to Summerside, beautiful drive to Cavendish, Rustico & west coast. Down quiet red dirt road, opening up to stunning property with the cottage on the beach. A few cottages set back behind, making it feel very private, yet not isolated. Shore line is amazing for kids, and when tide goes there are kilometres of sand for kids to play on. Great kite flying & breezes! Afternoons spent bbq on huge deck. Beautiful view Confederation Bridge too! Don’t forget to head east along shoreline for a beautiful & peaceful walk as kids search for shells & crabs! Amazing property!

Beautiful and peaceful.

Lovely large property. I would of given it 5 stars for cleanliness except the BBQ was so greasy we didn’t want to cook on it. Inside everything very clean and easy to find. A good number of towels and basics. Thank you for providing a home for our wonderful trip with family.

An Absolute Gem

My husband and I stayed at Brian and Jacqui's ocean front cottage for 10 wonderful days! From beginning to end, communication with them was fast and easy. The property, itself, is exactly as described! Magnificent views of the ocean from the large windows facing westward towards awesome sunsets!! Peace and quiet our entire stay! We had everything we needed to cook, which was a joy, as my husband and I are foodies! And we were a mere 14 minutes away from Summerside, which has everything you need to make your stay a home away from home - Atlantic Superstore, Sobeys, Canadian Tire, PEI Liquor, Shopper's Drug Mart, and our favourite place JMK Fishmart for the lobster and mussels. We walked on the ocean floor at low tide and saw a variety of sea life and collected shells as souvenirs. All in all, everything was fantastic! The only downside of our trip was the 1800km trip back to Ontario! We miss the cottage and the ocean already!!
