A 1 bedroom / 1 full bath mountain cabin retreat near everything! Relax and unwind on the stone patio with large fire pit overlooking the forest. Sip coffee on the porch while listening to the soothing sounds of the stream and birdsong. Fall into the brand new, memory foam, king sized bed and Egyptian cotton sheets after a day of exploring everything Western NC and SC have to offer.
Youâll be 15-20 minutes from Brevard, with all of the breweries, a charming and artsy downtown, and Brevard College. Keep a lookout for the white squirrels! Also 15 minutes from Gorges State Park, Pisgah Forest, and tons of day hikes and waterfalls. We even have a secret waterfall on our property! Within 30 minutes youâll be at Lakes Keowee and Jocassee, Ziplines, Sliding Rock, DuPont State Forest, and plenty of world-class mountain biking. We are only 10 minutes from some of the best fly fishing on the East coast at the French Broad River so make sure to swing by Headwaters Outfitters down the road for all of your guides and gear. Their taproom is one of our favorites, featuring a variety of locally brewed beers and other spirits. In downtown Rosman you can find river tubing or kayak rentals, as well as Riverside Pizza, a local favorite. AVL airport and Sierra Nevada Brewery is an easy 45-minute drive up the highway.

We even put an acoustic guitar in the space you can harness your creativity when the moment strikes, or enjoy a book from our collection.
The full bath with tub/shower combo has all your towels, basic toiletries (hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toilet paper, tissues. )
If youâre lucky, it will rain at night so that the sound on the metal roof can lull you right to sleep.
Need to bring a boat or camper? Not a problem. Thereâs plenty of space to park it during your stay. A 4x4 is recommended for the gravel driveway if youâre towing anything, but otherwise a regular car is just fine to get up to The Hollow. We can also arrange a power/water hookup for an additional fee.
Please note: Owners live on the property in a separate home. We are happy to interact as much or as little as youâd like. No parties or events, no drugs, and please be respectful of our slice of mountain paradise. No smoking in or on our property. Smoking in the cabin will result in the loss of your security deposit as extra cleaning will be necessary. There are stairs as pictured. This property is not suitable for people who are handicapped or who cannot climb stairs. Please use caution with small children on the stairs and in the cabin. It is not child-proof, but we are willing to help with this if you let us know you are bringing a small child. We have outdoor livestock: free-range chickens, livestock guard dogs (2 Great Pyrenees/German Shepherds) and pets (2 golden retrievers and 2 barn kittens) on our property. For their safety, please do not bring your animals/pets. **This includes service and emotional support animals.** This cabin is in the woods and we cannot guarantee that the property is free of bears or other wildlife. We see that as one of the main attractions and hope youâll enjoy being comfortable out in nature also! There is a bear who frequents our property, so do not leave any food or trash in your car or outside the cabin. Quiet hours are 10pm-8am. We have provided a sound machine and turbo fan, though the cabin stays pretty quiet and noise shouldnât be an issue.
Is there something youâd like to have stocked at your arrival? We offer concierge services and will stock the fridge for you for an additional fee. Uber, Lyft, Instacart, and similar services do not serve our area.
Have questions? Send us a message. We look forward to hosting you at The Hollow at Monteverde. Pura vida.
Very clean & comfy cabin, just off a curvy country road. Cabin is close to the main house, but hosts are very friendly and neat, so not an issue for us. The kitchen was well equipped for standard meals, plus some basic supplies in the cupboards.
We loved this cozy cabin! Hosts were friendly and we had everything we needed. The cabin is only about 15m from Table Rock State Park which was perfect for adventuring.
This was the perfect spot for our anniversary getaway. The cabin was clean, well decorated, cozy and equipped with all we needed. Great hosts. Definitely recommend this place for a mountain getaway.
My Girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay, fantastic property and lodging with very pleasant owners who are just lovely to chat with. Will certainly be returning in the future for further stays.
I really enjoyed my stay. The two-year-old cabin, made from hemlocks on the property, was quaint, quiet and clean. I loved that the water was tied to a spring on the property. My hosts were gracious and helpful. I enjoyed their stories of the peach-stealing bear and their resilience after Helene, forest forest fires and the recent ice storms. Great place!
Hi! Weâre your hosts, Jonas and Tiffany. Tiffany is a teacher and Jonas is a First-responder. We have been vacationing in the NC mountains for years and decided to move here and enjoy it year round! We love traveling, food, outdoor activities, and adventures.
The sound of the creek, lush green forest, and spacious mountain location were exactly what we were looking for. It reminds us of our favorite town in Costa Rica- Monteverde, hence the name of our cabin.
Tiffany grew up in the Carolinas and convinced Jonas that he needed some mountains and animals in his life. So, we left South Florida and moved up to the country. We are slowly growing our farm and hope to add some Highland cows too!
Our water comes from a natural spring on the property. We also have a **hidden waterfall** and are working to make it a little less hidden. You can see it, but the trail down is not ready. From the top of our mountain, you can see Table Rock State Park during winter when the leaves have fallen. Weâre centrally located so you can enjoy a variety of activities in NC and SC.
We have about 22 free-range chickens (Ruby, Alpha, Wanda, Cookie, Oreo, Goldie, Bougie, Hei Hei, Penny, Nugget, Fluffy Cheeks, and Big Black. We also have our rooster, Rico, and Rico and Alphaâs currently unnamed chicks. ) Many of our hens lay eggs daily and weâre happy to share fresh eggs with our guests! We rescued 2 Great Pyrenees/German Shepherd mix puppies to work as livestock guardian dogs, Coco and Osa. They live on the other side of the property from the cabin with our fainting goats, Frida and Pearl. Our Golden Retrievers, Buoy and Maui, love to greet guests and our two cats, Luna and Trouble, wander around looking for chipmunks. Need some animal snuggles? Just ask! We are happy to show you the animals and they would love for you to scratch, pet, and snuggle them. You can hold the chickens if you can catch them!
