The cabin and bunkhouse served us well for our two-family vacation. The location on Long Lake cannot be beat for a day on the water. We would be happy to return.
My friends and I have have been booking a fishing trip in the Northwoods for nearly 20 years, and chose Eagle River this time around. The cabin offered all the amenities we were looking for, and we will definitely consider a return in the future!
This cabin had great outdoor hang out space, which is where we spent most of our time. The inside living space was clean and nicely kept with decent upgrades! We really enjoyed our time here! There is a hike to get down to the water but that was expected.
Had an awesome time. The owner Marc is awesome. Any questions we had he was very helpful. The cabin has all the amenities and more. Very clean. Beautiful view of the lake and lots of wildlife to see. Fishing was good. Definitely staying again.
The cabin and bunk room were great with enough room for 6 people to stay comfortably. The outdoor area in the yard was nice to hangout in. The main cabin itself was well stocked and the layout was perfect for what we needed. The location of the property is also very convenient being right between Eagle River and Three Lakes.
There are MANY steps to get down to the lake. Some are slippery and uneven. Would be difficult for elderly or someone with difficulty walking to make it down to the water. Carrying a cooler down to the boat is not really feasible. There are pictures in the listing but this should be more clear in the description.
The owner showed up unannounced to the property every day of our 7 day stay without warning, despite telling me he was going to call or text before showing up. It was uncomfortable for our group as we had multiple dogs with us who are startled by strangers. I understand if an owner of a rental needs to stop by, but it was awkward that it was each day and it felt like we were being watched when we were just enjoying a relaxing family vacation.
Thanks Marc for sharing your property with our family. We had a great time on our favorite body of water. There are a lot of steps to the lake but itâs worth it. We are looking forward to it again!
Came up to the Three Lakes area for our annual brothers fishing trip. This property looked perfect for us - not too fancy, not too rough. There were a couple of glitches in the plan. One, the boat launch on Long Lake is unimproved, with a reverse-only access that is challenging for most of us. Two, the lake is 54 steep steps down from the house so if you have had knee surgery lately, or if you are old, it is tough to get up and down the hill, and managing gear and gas is a little problematic. Other than that, the visit was good.
Great location and very quiet neighborhood. Great fishing off the dock or boating. So much to do in Three Lakes and Eagle River. Tons of great restaurants.
