SĂžsterhus, Three Lakes/Eagle River Lake House

Sosterhus is a stunning Perch Lake waterfront house in Oneida County featuring a wooded up north get away experience for relaxing, fishing, swimming, kayaking, and shopping. Includes free WIFI/internet, TV, game area, washing machine and dryer, central air conditioning, kayaks, deck view overlooking Perch Lake and group campfire area. Close access to the Chain of Lakes, Three Lakes, and Eagle River for boating and shopping as well as fall and winter recreational activities. Location is on a quiet, private 35 acre lake with direct access to the waterfront.

Privacy and Technology Policy: House includes additional security including remote keyless entry, video doorbell in case of trouble getting in. The driveway has a motion sensing flood light and camera to support late night check-in. Mechanical room in basement is generally considered off limits unless in contact with host. The mechanical room does have video surveillance to monitor equipment. Free internet has safe guards to filter ads and potential malware. Please contact host if you have any concerns.

Quiet Family Vacation

Beautiful cabin with plenty of room to stretch out. The lake is perfect for swimming, kayaking, and catch and release fishing. So quiet and tranquil. Bonus feature, you’ll see plenty of hummingbirds.

Our stay at Sosterhus was peaceful and fun! The cabin was clean and comfy, just like the listing. We loved walking our dog down the long driveway and on the country roads. Sitting on the porch listening to the birds, looking at the lake, and watching the stars was exactly what we were looking for. Oh, and the yard was full of crazy looking mushrooms. Loved it! We look forward to coming back.

End of summer get away

House was exactly has listed. Well stocked, plenty of room, great porch and dock off the lake. Easily accessible to all things Eagle River and Three Lakes.Great space in basement for kids to hang out and plenty of games to choose from to play. Also, don’t forget to check out the Elderly Lady book series on the living room shelf!

We enjoyed 9 nights in this wonderful, clean, pet friendly home. The interior is light, bright and fresh. The house is secluded but close enough to town, trails and restaurants. We brought our bikes and the rides were well groomed and easy (enough). There are books and games for kids everyone. We enjoyed just looking out the plentiful windows. The lake is a steep walk down from the house. The view is “hints” of the lake from the house because of all the scrub trees. I believe this is a no motor lake. There is no boat ramp.

Sosterhus

Place was great plenty of room and clean. The only thing I didn’t like was the driveway. We came up to icefish for the week and there was plenty of snow so the driveway was a little tight but we managed just fine. The house was secluded and peaceful. I would definitely stay again.

Great Cabin in the Northwoods!

We had a great time staying at SĂžsterhus. Everything was exactly as depicted in the photos and as described on VRBO. The cabin was clean and had everything that was needed. Perch Lake was awesome and was so peaceful. The location was perfect and easy to get to either Eagle River or Three Lakes within 15 minutes. Communication with the host was great and they answered any questions that we had quickly. Definitely would stay there again!

Peaceful and comfortable

A lovely cabin home with everything one needs to enjoy the Northwoods and water. The hosts were amazing in their communication, answered all of our questions so quickly and were so kind when we had to delay the start of our trip. Would absolutely recommend and return!by 2 days.

Perfect!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the property. The lower floor was perfect for our kids, with lots of games and things to do. Everything was spotless. We loved the lake and the included raft, paddleboard and kayaks. Location was great too, about a 15 min drive to either Eagle River or Three Lakes, but still in the middle of the woods with lots of privacy. Would definitely recommend!

Weekend getaway

Cannot say enough good things about this property. It is well updated, clean, has everything you would need, and the location is perfect (close to town but hidden away on a beautiful lake). Communication with the property owner is prompt and they are incredibly easy to work with! We will be back!

This property was lovely. Had a little snafu with plumbing, but Kate took care of immediately. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. House was very well stocked. We all caught a ton of fish in the lake. Great vacation home. Would recommend to anyone

Perfect!!

We absolutely loved this cabin
very clean, beautifully renovated, had everything we needed and more as a family with three kiddos! The lake is crystal clear and so peaceful
the kids loved the swimming raft! We heard loons every day and my husband enjoyed the fishing too! The owners were very responsive
always replied within 10-15 min. We would absolutely recommend staying here! We hope to go back again!!

Dream House on Perch Lake

Kay’s Sþsterhus is a gorgeous, immaculate, and charming cabin between Three Lakes and Eagle River WI. The ambiance is restful, there are many games available for kids—we especially enjoyed the hunt for the Hidden Fort (thanks for your note, Rebecca!). Cooking and washing facilities all worked perfectly. The furniture and beds are comfortable. Kay herself was immediately available for the few questions that came up—all solved in a minute! Highest recommendation!

Quiet and relaxing lake house

The Lake house is spacious and very charming. It had more than enough space for me and my adult children and our dogs. The house had everything we needed. There was no place to launch our boats. It was a private lake but that’s what made this place a gem. It had the best fishing we caught Bluegill and Bass with almost every cast. They had a row boat and kayaks for us to use. We did take our boats out on other lakes that were close by. So we were able to try a few different lakes.

Wonderful week in the Northwoods

We had a great week- the house was a perfect base camp for exploring the beautiful surroundings. It was far enough from town we felt we were in the middle of nowhere, but close enough we could make it to either Three Lakes or Eagle River with a quick 10/15 min drive. The house has all the amenities of home. Sleeping layout was ideal for our group. Walk out basement perfect for the kids to sleep and hang out. Host incredibly responsive and helpful, even shipped our forgotten item promptly back to us. Thank you! We will likely be back!

Perfect family getaway

My family of 5 loved Sosterhus. Perch Lake is so quiet & peaceful. We frequently kayaked and took Bob the Rowboat out on the lake, and saw loons and bald eagles - but rarely any people. Yet we were within 15 minutes of Eagle River and Three Lakes, so there was lots for us to do! The place was clean, felt homey, was bright and welcoming, and had everything we needed. We grilled out most nights and ate out on the deck. The game room in the walk-out basement is a nice touch as the games were perfect for our kids. They really didn't miss their screens while we were on vacation! My boys' favorite feature was a hand-drawn treasure map they found in their bedroom that led them to a secret fort in the woods. Hope to visit again!

Amazing place, nice owner(s) and beautiful location

I almost do not want to be truthful here because I know this place will fill out immediately but it does deserve a great and honest review. This renovated cabin is amazing. In fact, our 8 year old came home and immediately redid her bedroom with many of the decorating ideas she picked up from staying here. This cabin is the best place we have stayed in any arbnb or vrbo. It's superclean, accepts dogs and kids, great location in which you will NEVER leave because you have everything you want in a relaxing vacation and has great beds and pillows so you will be rested as well. The owners were quick to answer questions and gracious at all times. We felt very welcomed and respected. There is a perfect view of the lake from the deck, fire pits near the house to watch the stars and one by the water to hear the lake if wanted, kayaks to use freely to explore the loons at dusk, puzzles and games to play for all ages, t.v. to watch movies on and chill as a crew and every possible kitchen item needed. If you like to hike, all you have to do is walk outside and take a walk because you are immersed in the forest. But if you like people and places, you are 10 minutes from great ice cream, shops to explore, restaurants to try, go-karts for the kids and much more. This place is beautiful, clean, comfortable and has it all. Enjoy!

We had a great time at SĂžsterhus. The location is perfect right between Three Lakes or Eagle River, but remote enough that you can enjoy the outdoors without road noise. The cabin was as shown in the photos and everything you needed was there. We enjoyed the deck, dock and fire pit near the cabin. The walk down to the dock and lake was a little steep. The makeshift steps helped, but would suggest something a bit more stable. We also enjoyed using the kayaks and exploring the tranquil lake. The fishing was great too. All in all, a great trip and looking forward to coming back.

Beautiful Cabin

Our family had a wonderful time at the cabin. It had all the amenities that were offered and more. We have stayed at many cabins for vacations and this one was by far the best and the most clean. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck and looking at the surrounding trees around us, made it feel nice and private. We enjoyed fishing off the pier and the use of The Kayaks that were there for us. This is definitely a five-star cabin and we will be going back again with our family. The owners are also available and are quick in response if you have any questions.

Very nice property. All amenities accounted for, and then some. Beautiful lake to enjoy the sunset next to a camp fire. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet lake to chill out, relax, and enjoy being "up nort".

Family of 9, we love to adventure together. Living in the upper midwest, warmer temperatures are often our go-to destination.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We love the sounds of the loons on the lake around sunset. It is beautiful and lonely. It is hard to remain in our busy lives when surround by nature and it’s sounds.

Also, the community of neighbors on the lake are friendly and diverse and we are thankful for each of them.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

In Danish, SĂžsterhus means "Sister house". We're proud of our Danish heritage, but more importantly, SĂžsterhus is a family cabin - owned by two sisters and their husbands, on the same lake that our third sister lives on. In the Family Room, there is a wall of old photographs. The people in those photos are our family, enjoying life, enjoying the outdoors. The art in the Children's Bedroom was all created by the nieces and nephews in our family expressing what it means to be at the cabin. You'll find little hints about our family throughout, and we hope it makes things more homey for you.

Perch Lake is a special place for all of us. Having a cabin started as a dream in the summer of 2020 and, by the kindness of God, became a reality in the spring of 2021. We love this place, the cabin and the lake, and believe that you will too. We hope you make wonderful memories at SĂžsterhus like we already are!
