Jake & Wilma's - Private Country Estate

This country retreat offers relaxed indoor and outdoor living. The house offers three bedrooms in addition to a private Primary Suite. Two queen sleeper sofas provide additional sleep space. Three full baths and one half bath is a true convenience. A newly renovated kitchen sets the stage for easy food preparation. After a wonderful day enjoying the local area the gorgeous brick patio is ready for resting, dining and watching the stars! Light a fire in the firepit located on the patio. Enjoying a glass of wine with the warmth of the fire and friends is the perfect way to end a day!

Wonderful for our girls weekend! Lots of room and home was equipped with anything we needed. Comfortable beds and linens. This is our second stay - owners have done a wonderful job updating their family home. Throughly enjoyed our stay!

Country Stay

Excellent home and area. Honestly, there is more room to sit and talk than there are bedrooms. Plenty of space for meals and hanging with extended family, both indoors and outdoors. Only a few cycling miles to downtown Elkin. Stop by Dirty Joe’s for a morning cup of coffee.

North Carolina Wedding Trip

Charming country home. It was stocked with everything you would need. Beautiful property that is well maintained. Enjoyed the patio and fire pit every night. Great place to relax and unwind. Sharon was easy to work with, answering my many questions and allowing for early check in.

Wine Country Base

This property was excellent. Close to everything but peaceful. Beds slept great. Kitchen well stocked. Happy to find the same grill I use at home. Bathrooms recently remodeled. And the animal lovers were happy with the cows next door and Charlie the cat. Overall, very happy with our stay. We will be back!

Perfect gathering place

Perfect place for our family to gather in preparation and celebration of my son's nearby wedding. House was spacious and spotless and allowed everyone the room they needed to come together or have privacy. We spent the most time outside and in the sunroom, but there are plenty of relaxing gathering places. And sweet Charlie visited us often and helped us miss our black kitty a little less. Great experience overall, would definitely stay again (maybe with girlfriends for a wine weekend!)

Our group of 5 women couldn’t have been happier with our stay at Jake & Wilma’s. Without a doubt it is the best vacation rental any of us has experienced. The house is extremely clean, is exactly as pictured and they have thought of absolutely everything to make your stay comfortable. It is also centrally located to many vineyards and downtown Elkin.

This is a BEAUTIFUL property with everything you could possibly want or need for your stay! Everything was immaculately clean! The kitchen was more than fully equipped and easy to use. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms beautifully appointed! There are several sitting areas which made it easy to have multiple activities going on simultaneously. The hosts were the BEST! Super Special Country Oasis

We rented this home for our family to stay in for our son's wedding at Whispering Ridge Farms. This is the first time I've so impressed by a VRBO rental. Not only is this home so pretty and homey, it has such a special story. Plus, the property is absolutely beautiful. Cows grazing, outdoor seating and fire pit. I would highly recommend! I would buy this house and move in tomorrow if it were closer. Lots of space and very clean. LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!!

My name is Sharon and I grew up in this home. My parents, Jake and Wilma, loved this house. They also loved their family and friends. Jake and Wilma always enjoyed having folks stop by for a visit. It is my desire to honor them by creating a warm, comfortable experience for my guests.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The location of this property is perfect. There is easy and fast access to grocery stores, fast food and shops. This property is centrally located among most of the wineries in the Yadkin Valley. Mt. Airy is a quick drive up I-77. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a 20 minute drive from the house. Stone Mountain is close by for hiking and enjoying nature.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

This home is located in the center of 30+ acres of land. The house is surrounded by woods and a beautiful view of pastureland. Cows grazing and birds singing are a normal part of the day. Towards evening deer begin to come out of the woods and graze. At night the stars are extra bright because there are no competing city lights. Tranquility is the best word to describe this one of a kind setting.
