Watch whales from the living/dining room, bedroom, deck and hot tub, see Osprey dive into the waters, relax as Pelicans glide over the waves, listen to the distant sea lions from across the ridge, and let the soothing sounds of the waves lull you to sleep.

The home is a 1/3 mile walk to the town of Anchor Bay where there is a grocery store with plenty of healthy/organic foods, and an excellent Thai restaurant. The town of Gualala is 4 miles away with more grocery shopping, a lovely bakery/coffee-shop (Trinks, their carrot cake is out of this world!), art galleries, and restaurants. And there is plenty of coastal hiking in the area including Bowling Ball Beach, Point Arena Light House, and Sea Ranch trails. Go a bit further, and in 45 minutes be in the lovely and historic town of Mendocino. Enjoy the boutique stores, fine dinning, and galleries in this ocean-side haven.

This home has been in the family for over 30 years. It is truly a magical retreat. Walk into the living and dining area and you have immediate panoramic Pacific Ocean views, and this continues to the Master Bed and Bath Rooms. The Master Bedroom has a very comfortable queen size Tempur-Pedic mattress. It has an adjoining bathroom with shower and walk in closet. You will not be disappointed by the view you wake up to! The second bedroom also has partial ocean views and has 2 twin beds and a 1/2 bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked with updated pots, pans, and dish-wear. It has newer gas stove, refrigerator, and washer/dryer. There is an open living-room/dining-room with a sliding glass door to the deck. The living room has a wood burning fireplace, two swivel chairs to better enjoy the view! There is a modest flat screen TV with satellite channels.

Anchor Bay is the stunning jewel of the Sonoma -Mendicino coast. Out of the "10 Best Beaches of the Pacific West" was rated the 3rd best beach by Sunset Magazines June 2, 2009 issue ,after #1 Laguna Beach and #2 "Aliomanu Kauai, come see it for yourself!

Anchor bay offers the salmon fishing fleets a calm and tranquil nighttime anchorage during salmon season, (May through October) watch the mesmerizing lights from the bay window, a peaceful and rare sight. Most ships in the bay 57 in one night!

8/05/2022 Extra special treat is the "nightly show" of dozens of salmon fishing boats, anchored in the calm waters of Anchor Bay, resting during the summer evening with their mast lights gleaming, being reflected in the ocean waters of the present salmon fishing season. No where else along the Pacific coast can this spectacular event be seen! One to be long remembered.
