This was our first vacation with our family including our first grandchild and a grand dog! It was a perfect setup with great bedroom space and views from everywhere! The location is right on the beach, just a quick walk over the dunes - and a wide open lengthy beach awaits! The heated pool was wonderful as we had some cooler nights and the pool gets the afternoon sun but provides plenty of shade and is also protected from strong winds. The owner was great to work with and if we get another chance to do this with our greater family we will definitely book Sea Salt!

Our stay at this beautiful home in Cape San Blas was absolutely wonderful. The location was perfect, offering stunning views and a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The house was spotless and beautifully maintained. The pool was amazing, refreshing, and the perfect place to unwind after a day at the beach. We also loved the convenient outdoor grilling area, which made evening cookouts enjoyable and easy.The kitchen was impressively stocked with everything you could possibly need, from helpful amenities to a wide variety of gadgets that made cooking a pleasure. It was also a great bonus that the home was pet friendly, allowing us to bring our furry family member along.Overall, this home was comfortable, clean, and perfectly situated for a relaxing getaway.

We spent a week at this property and enjoyed every minute of it. The house had a great layout and was very functional for our large family. The host was super accommodating and answered any questions we had quickly. Will be staying here again for sure!

Beautiful Cape San Blas home!

My family and I stayed at this home in March and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The home is right on the beach, enjoys beautiful sunsets, and has a private heated pool overlooking the dunes. It's beautifully maintained and well stocked, and it's close to the trading post/seafood market/ice cream. It was a joy to work with the owner, and we hope to stay again on another trip to CSB!

Family Fun

Great location right on the beach. Very spacious with plenty of room to spread out. Nicely appointed and equipped. Great communication with the owner. Heated pool was a huge benefit as we had a major storm system come through and the rip tide flags were double red. Sunsets are beautiful.

Loved it!

Perfect location towards the North end, with great beach access. We walked for miles every day on uncrowded beach, which is dog friendly, unlike so many places in Florida. The main living area is on the top floor and the view is fantastic. Beds were comfortable. Huge kitchen table was great because we could set out jigsaw puzzles or games at one end, and have room to eat at the other. Overall a great stay, we have already reserved for next year!

Perfect in so many ways…

This property was absolutely perfect for our group of 14 adults and kids. The location was the best, away from crowds but close enough to ride bikes to the general store or make a quick trip to Port St. Joe. The views are nothing short of amazing! The property had everything you could ask for, along with several extras, it seemed much larger than the photos revealed. The communication with the owner was outstanding, extremely helpful and accommodating from start to finish. The perfect beach vacation property for fun in the sun!

Best House on the Cape

3 couples rented this house with the ability for some of our adult kids to come throughout the week. It couldn’t have been more perfect. So perfect the kids chose to stay the week as well. Communication with the owner couldn’t have been easier or more pleasant. The house was more than accommodating and every need was anticipated. I’ve never enjoyed a vacation more.

Gulf View Delight

Three ‘senior’ couples stayed in this new, beautiful, gulf-side home on Cape San Blas. Everything was as described.. We had plenty of space to enjoy while having our privacy. Everything from the awesome view of the Gulf to Rebecca’s lovely touch on the furnishings was wonderful. Having the elevator was a great help. Would be fantastic for families ( which is why I booked originally but pandemic uncertainties changed that). Hope to be back with the extended family at another time.

Family Vacation

The house was perfect for our entire family to stay. We used every last bed and still had plenty of room. Our favorite parts were the dining room table large enough for all to sit, the outdoor decks, and the common areas. The parents also enjoyed that there was another common area for the kids :) The pool and beach were also a highlight. If you are on the fence, just book it. The house was perfect for our family vacation. We had an extreme amount of sun and beach fun and so many laughs with the family. The homeowner was very reactive when we encountered small issues in the house. THANKS!

Celebrating our 50th with Family

We are celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and a beach vacation with our kids and grandkids was the perfect way to celebrate , There are 14 of us and the house had lots of space for all. The kitchen had everything we needed , beds were comfortable and very clean.The furniture and decor is very coastal ,very cute.Rebecca is extremely nice ,easy to communicate with,quick to respond.. She also has beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, body boards, our son and granddaughter used the kayaks and bicycles. It was so nice not to have to bring these with us. Everyone in our family absolutely loved it , we hardly left the pool and beach until the last day when we went out to shop , eat and take photos! I This was the perfect house for us because we also really needed the elevator , our son-in-law has MS , one of our granddaughters is visually impaired and we are not getting any younger , but they were able to easily travel through out the house and out to the pool.Oh, I cannot forget everything Rebecca has for dogs :feeding dishes, kennels and the cutest dog beach towels. I maybe rambling but I really loved the house and Rebecca is really the best owner , she has really thought of everything. Shelia

Great ocean front home for family gathering

The house and property were gorgeous! Perfect view and location, although is bit of walk to beach. The pool was great to relax in and there was lots of outdoor seating. However, there were some concerns around the cleanliness and amenities of the house. The house was fairly dirty. For example, the ceiling fans were caked in dust and the floors made the bottom of our feet black. The vacuum did not appear to help. Some of the night stand shelves were covered in dust and hair. When we arrived, there was a big spill on the third floor deck that had leaked down to the second floor deck. We ended up cleaning it ourselves. Also, some basic amenities were lacking. Such as, there were no extra bath towels, sheets or pillows. There were only 2 dish towels in the whole kitchen. Other random things, like the bathtub drain not allowing the bath to fill and all of the beach chair straps being broken and umbrella broken were a bit frustrating. Overall, the house itself was beautiful and the Cape San Blas area is great! Just a few things were an inconvenience within the house that we wished we had known ahead of time.

Greg, Thank you for your review. We hope you enjoyed your week. I wanted to comment on a couple of things. About the spill on the deck -- you alerted me immediately to the spill that you encountered and I arranged to have someone address this. By the time I contacted you back with the plan (the same day) you had already addressed it yourself. We do appreciate that and my comment at the time was that we did not want our guests having to clean prior mishaps during their vacation. Regarding pillows, each King/Queen bed has 2 sleeping pillows and 2 pillows in shams. Now that you mention it, I'm not totally sure the pillows in the shams have cases on them, which may be a good idea in case folks need additional sleeping pillows. Twins have 1 sleeping pillow and 1 decorative pillow each. We provide full bath towel sets (towel/washcloth) for14 -- even if only 10 guests are expected. They are located on each bed. We don't leave extra sheets out. There is a large capactity washer and dryer, as well provided detergent, for you to use to wash anything during your week-long stay. Thank you for the information about the tub -- the drain stopper is being replaced this week. We realize the beach chair straps were broken and are replacing these. We had put 6 new ones in the storage the week before you arrived. Thank you for taking the time to review our home. And we appreciate your choosing Sea Salt for your vacation this summer. Disappointed

The Home is nice with a nice view. Long walk to the beach, many rental homes there are closer. There’s a lot of building going on and the house next door we listened to cranes and framing hammers most every day while framers watched every move we made. We paid a lot for the week. We had to sweep and mop the main floor when we got there as well as wash the main level windows which were nasty. We left the house immaculate as we always do anywhere we travel. We had planned on just my wife and I staying here yet We were so excited our college daughter could come as well as my mother in law at the last minute. The owner had a fit we had 3 more people and another dog staying for the last three days which is absurd in my optimism in a 6 bedroom home any we only ended up having 5 people. Out of kindness we left the cleaning lady a 100 tip. The cleaning lady fraudulently charged the owner saying we spilled red wine on the sofa. No one drank red wine or red anything in our group. She obviously flipped sofa cushions or has pictures of other sofas on her phone so she can rip people off. She also said one of our dogs peed on a bed which is not true. My daughter borrowed a comforter from a non used kids bed because it was cold on her room. Obviously some previous guests child had peed on the bed in the past. She also stated we got finger nail polish on something in the house which is not true as well. All of my crew goes to salons for that. All in all very disappointed they charged us 350.00 extra for things we didn’t do. It’s not the money to me, it’s the principle and I don’t like being ripped off. I have stayed all over the world in 5 star places for decades and have never been treated like this. All of this Definitely ruined the end of what would have been a goood vacation.

This is the first VRBO rental in the past year where we have had to keep a portion of the deposit for damages, replacement of comforters and violation of our contract. Our cleaning service has also been excellent and spends 5 plus hours cleaning between guests. This guest brought unauthorized dogs who damaged our house (we have a 1 dog policy). The $350 charge was minimal for damages and replacement items.

Great Vacation at Sea Salt!

Spotless clean, quiet location, lots of space to spread out, and everything you need for a perfect vacation. This was my families favorite place we've stayed so far!

As a family w Littles, we cook a lot of meals. The kitchen was well equipped w an amazing view. It will be very hard for us to rent another property without a pool. Being together as a family from all over the US, we love this area for simplicity.

Perfection

All around, Sea Salt was an amazing house. The owners supplied everything needed for a perfect beach vacation. Their communication was easy and helped to answer any questions we had before and during our stay. Upon arriving, the house was spotless. We were pleasantly surprised at how spacious the house was. 14 people stayed in this house very comfortably. Beach was easy to access and of course was the perfect Sand Blas beach. The Trading Post was a mile way, so the kids enjoyed biking there for donuts, ice cream and lunch. Overall, Sea Salt did not disappoint. We had an amazing time. Loved the decor of the house. Everything was pure perfection!!!

Cape San Blas Perfection

Sea Salt is a spacious brand new home with amazing views of the gulf. Our group ranged in age from 15 to 87 and we all loved the home. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of room to cook and feed 12 of us. The pool was a nice break from the beach. The boardwalk made access easy and there is a park very close for us to take a beach permitted golf cart out. The owners provide chairs, kayaks and more. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

We were captivated by the unspoiled natural beauty of the peninsula, the sandy beaches, and the beautiful sunsets. Since that time we've enjoyed many family vacations together and are excited to offer other families the opportunity to experience Florida's Forgotten Coast. Sea Salt is a new gulf front home scheduled to be completed in May 2020. It is a dog friendly home that sleeps 14 and includes 3 master suites, 2 open living room spaces, heated saltwater pool, elevator and 3 decks with breathtaking views. The home includes a semi private boardwalk, 2 sea kayaks and is close to St. Joseph State Park.
