I would give this house a 9.5. The house was huge! Great location. Nice views. Plenty of room for our 9 members of our family. The pool was nice. The house was nicely laid out and convenient. Very private.

The house was just basically cleaned. I own a cleaning company and of course it did not meet my standards. The only cleaning that was done was just surface cleaning. The baseboards needed wiping ( there was pet hair) and overall the house was just so-so. The coffee carafe had to be bleached and there were several lights that did not work. But ,overall , it was an enjoyable trip. The elevator was a plus with my elderly parents. The customer service was very helpful for any issues. However, the house needs a serious deep clean. I’m super sensitive to smells and the pet or mold smell was overwhelming.

Over all the stay was nice, the house was pretty much as advertised. The beds were amazing best sleep I’ve had in any place we have ever stayed. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes etc. definitely need to get some bags of ice the ice maker on the refrigerator produced very little ice. The house size and layout was well suited for our family members, the number one overall complaint was the showers. Master bath the left shower didn’t seem to have hot water , the main floor shower was basically useless everyone went to the second floor bathrooms.The beach was nice , had a secluded feel about it. The walk wasn’t too bad down to the beach kind of peaceful actually. I did like how the house had red lights on the back porch areas, we always knew which path to go up to the correct house at night. Enjoy the fact that the house was out of the hustle and bustle didn’t have to deal with a lot of people and yet still close enough for stores and such as that. If we chose to stay in the area again, with that amount of family members we would potentially try to stay there again.

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful 12 days at this property, and enjoyed the house and its location. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. We would love to book again at this property if it’s available on our next visit.

This is a fantastic property for a family beach getaway. The location and overall amenities were very nice. We enjoyed the heated pool in January and the private walkway to the beach. Only complaints are the need for a thorough deep cleaning including HVAC supplies (dusty and grimy) and the water only stays hot in the showers for around 5 minutes before getting lukewarm. Neither are dealbreakers but should be addressed by the property manager. Loved the back deck for watching the sunset, and that everything in the home was in working order. A great option for Cape San Blas and could become excellent with a few minor touches!

The place was great! It was perfect for our group of 12, and we loved the location!

Wonderful winter week!

Milky Way, fire pit, clean beach, few people (if any) on the beach, cozy fireplace, great kitchen, comfortable beds, etc… will definitely visit again!

Cape Indulgence was great!

Plenty of room for our family to enjoy vacation. Big kitchen and dining for family meals. Pool and multiple porches made it great for any weather thrown at us. Walk to the beach was long but well worth it.

Great Beach Stay

This house was fantastic! It is huge! There is so much space for everyone and there is everything you need. The beach here is beautiful (nice and wide) with plenty of dolphins. Communication was excellent and the bikes we rented with our credit were great. There are also plenty of restaurants close enough with good pick up options - I recommend the St Joe Shrimp Company. I would definitely stay here again.

Indulgence indeed

Nice location. Piano and elevator very nice touch. Some mechanical issues, but management addressed problems in reasonable time. Views outside windows are beautiful. We would probably stay here again. Nice private access to beach.

Beautiful Beach Home

All of our family members enjoy this spacious home with private access to the beach. Some of the furniture needs attention (broken bed frame, leaning dining table and splitting fire pit chairs), but the player piano and the two fireplaces were enjoyed by all. Thank You.

GREAT Property, careful of extra pool fees

LOVED LOVED LOVED this house! It was very clean, well appointed, convenient, great neighbors next door. I would stay here again. I would encourage the advertisers to make one change: The "hot tub/pool" that is advertised is NOT automatically heated; there is an extra fee to make it so, and that is not clear in the description.

Extended Family Vacation

This was our first extended family vacation in over 10 years. Cape Indulgence was a great place for this gathering. The house was very accommodating for the days that the weather was not beach friendly. Location on the island was perfect for our crew. Little bit of a walk down the boardwalk to the beach. But the private boardwalk allowed us to leave our chairs and tent at the end daily. Overall a great place for a large group.

Accuracy of On Line Listing

The home was listed as 6 bedrooms but only had 5 bedrooms. We had an issue on a Sunday with the air conditioning and the property manager responded quickly and the unit was promptly repaired!

Wonderful location and view!

The house was perfect for our family of 10 and two dogs. It was spacious, nicely decorated and had plenty of kitchen cookware and dishes. The pool was wonderful! It was shaded and provided a nice reprieve from the heat of the beach. The view was fabulous and the house provided a variety of porches to view it. The boardwalk to the beach crossed over wetlands which filled the night air with lots of chirping and birdsong. The location was secluded but close to the general store and ice cream shop. We had an issue with a clogged drain and the team was over there and had it repaired in minutes. I would highly recommend this home for your next family beach vacation.

Misrepresentation

The pictures on the website are not an accurate representation of the house. The house is in disrepair-rubbed off paint, chipping paint, peeling wallpaper, broken cabinets, broken shower light, broken dishwasher. Nothing has been updated for years. The repairs that have been made were done very poorly. Not worth the high weekly fee.
