Terrible Customer Service
Rating Details:
The property manager was very unhelpful.
The vacation rental was somewhat dirty.
I was somewhat unhappy with the location.
I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

Due to the poor customer service from Benchmark Property Management, I cannot give good ratings for this property. Just ten days prior to our trip, I found out through an email in my Spam Folder, not even a phone call, that we had to make other arrangements due to construction at the original place we booked. If I had not happened upon that email, we would have driven 12 hours and not had a place to stay. Calls to Benchmark to help me went unanswered and messages unreturned. Ultimately, I booked Blue Nine 3 which was well-equipped and comfortable. Unfortunately, it had cockroaches, a clogged drain which my husband cleared, loose plumbing fixtures (see a review from a Sept. 2023 guest), and the magnificent view is only from the 2nd floor not the main floor which my 90 yr. old mother couldn't enjoy because of the stairs. I asked Benchmark to take care of the roaches and their droppings, and they said they'd "get back" to me, but never did. They also promised twice to apply a "15% Easter Discount" and I was told three times in writing and verbally that they had applied it and would see it on my card soon. After a month of unreturned calls, leaving messages, then reps. telling me they would "check into it" but then not calling back, I was then told it was too late because the transaction was closed. After speaking to a manager, I am still waiting for someone to "get back" to me. Owners and guests should be aware of such poor customer service, lack of follow-through, and not holding true to their word by Benchmark Property Management.
