This property was a great home base on our trip to Maine. It's spacious and comfortable and the host provided all of the amenities that made for a nice stay. Portland itself is really walkable and this location has some great restaurants and shops nearby. Having a parking spot was helpful. 10/10 would book another stay at this property.

The neighborhood is thoroughly residential. The house was easy to find. The host was accessible for my questions. Entry is complex, at first, but much easier as time went by. The apartment is spare. I wish the mattress was firmer and less crinkly as that was where I spent the majority of my time.

The property was very clean and the host was responsive. Note that the AC is only on the main level, not where the bedrooms are and it gets very hot. The host provided fans to help but for the price I would have liked to be able to use the full unit and we couldn't use the upstairs bedrooms for anything but holding suitcases due to the extreme temperatures.

It's a great location, two story with stairs to the bedroom areas. The facility was perfect for our stay in May. There's an A/C in the lower level and fans on the upper level. The bed is not rock hard, it's soft enough to enjoy sleeping in it. The shower/bath facility was good. The only thing I'd like to see is perhaps a basket to better hold shampoo/conditioner containers we brought. Easy fix. Anyway, we enjoyed our stay there.

I will start off by saying that the property was very clean and the location was good. We had some issues checking in due to not being provided all of the information we needed in the check in instructions to be able to access our room. We were only provided with the access code for the lock box but also needed the access code for the font door. We also had some difficulties getting ahold of the host at first to resolve. Customer service was eventually able to assist but this did put a bit of a damper on our trip.I'm sure this would be a lovely place to stay in the spring or fall but the upstairs was pretty hot/stuffy in the summer, just something to keep in mind if booking in the warmer months.

Communication was fine, property was clean, lots of charming details (hardwood floors, exposed brick, wonderful natural light in the mornings, skylights that open on the upper level). The location is super convenient and the area very walkable. The furniture brought us back to college - futon, papasan chair, the bed has seen better days; one side is noticeably lacking support. Laundry is communal and in the basement of the building, which wasn’t clear from the description. Also, we would have appreciated knowing in advance about all the steep and narrow stairs. Typical of a building of this age, but just would have been helpful to know in advance. Hauling our luggage up a dozen stairs from the parking lot to the back door, then another 17 to the apartment, and then another 17 to the bedroom, when we got in very late, was more than we bargained for. There is nothing inherently wrong with any of that, and if we were 25 years younger, we probably wouldn’t even mention it, but had I known about those items, we probably would have chosen a different spot.

This home is near the hospital which was the purpose of my visit. The home was adequate for my needs. However, there is no ventilation and it became very stuffy. Being able to open a window would have helped.

Check in was quick and easy. The property is located within walking distance to shops and restaurants, or a quick Uber to the docks. There is a dedicated parking spot in the rear lot. Unit 4 does have a window/wall AC unit that keeps the main floor very cool. The upstairs bedroom area does get warm during the day but cools off in the evening. There are plenty of large fans in the upstairs closets to help out as well. Host communicated clear check in and check out instructions.
