Unfortunately, we had to book another cabin in the area the first night due to a spider infestation at this property. Reaching out to the owner would have done nothing as it needs professional pest control. The owner is also staying in his class A in front of the cabin, which is directly next to a bar. The listing doesnât say the owner is staying on property. The previous reviews that state there is a spider issue are correct, though we didnât see the reviews until now as we had booked this in March. The owner stated on 9/15 in a response to a review that he set traps and bombed but this is clearly not true and we saw no traps though we even looked for them. Greg, from one local Montanan to another you have to address the infestation. Hobos and recluses are dangerous and are nocturnal, so we had spiders in the bed, on the walls, near the couchesâŠin a span of 2 hours we had 5 large spiders on us. No one should be spending this kind of money to be awoken to spiders crawling on them. We canât take the risk of being bitten or our dogs being bitten while we are asleep. We have stayed in countless historic old in this state and this is a first.VRBO is of no help to us, the owner would not have been able to resolve the issue to our satisfaction with bombing or having professionals come to take care of the infestation during our short stay. We are out a lot of money and then had to spend more money for a safe and clean cabin. We deserve a refund.
