We stayed here over the holiday and truly enjoyed how close to town we were as well as location in relation to white pass. Had a great time with plenty of space for our family. Would stay here again.
A good location to access Mt. Rainier NP--everything we needed was supplied--enjoyed the wood-burning stove--convenient to grocery & restaurants--nice hikes nearby, too.
This warm home was immaculately clean and the communication with the property management was clear and immediately responsive. We had one small hiccup with towels and they addressed it within minutes. The downstairs bed was one of the most comfortable I've enjoyed after many years of travels.
The location was great and the cabin was a cool experience. It was conveniently located near the packwood flea market, which was the reason for our stay. Plus Ohanapecosh was a short drive away. The cabin had everything we needed and more. My family liked the fully equipped kitchen. I would highly recommend this cute cabin for a getaway.
Everything was fantastic, nice house, etc. my only complaint would be that since there is no AC, we had the windows open 24/7. This was perfect for cooling all day but the road noise was pretty annoying especially at night while sleeping. There is a very noticeable metallic clang every time a car crosses the bridge about 25 yards behind the house. Other than that, this place is perfect!
This property was great based on close proximity to Mount Rainer National Park. Overall, the property was the perfect size and had most of the amenities for a comfortable stay. The only downside was that we visited during a heat dome and since the home has no a/c, the inside of the home would reach 86 degrees by 8pm, which made it very uncomfortable for sleeping. The property management was on top of it though and had plenty of fans for us to utilize, which made it manageable until it cooled off during the night. Next time we visit hopefully it will be cooler, and if there is no burn ban, we can utilize the outside fire pit and deck. The last two things to consider is that the home has no dishwasher, and also the back of the home is in close proximity to Highway 12. When big trucks drive past at night (over the small bridge) itâs very loud.
The location was great, nice neighborhood. The kids enjoyed the little stream behind the cabin. It had everything we needed. Make sure to plan around the Stevens Canyon road closures in Mount Rainier. We enjoyed the 80s feel of the cabin and it was very clean!
Convenient to Mount Rainier, this place offered exceptional amenities - the small river behind it offered soothing sounds. A perfect place to spend yume exploring, hiking and fishing. Local town very friendly and helpful
My family really loved this property. The owners have gone out of their way to provide everything a guest might possible need. The property is very clean. There is a grocery store, gas station, and several eateries nearby. The decor is outdated but it really reminded me of childhood in the 80's. I was taken back to my grandparent's home! Make sure and visit the lovely river at the end of the street and the little creek out back. We saw evidence of deer but no actual deer. My one complaint is the living area couches need to be replaced. They are old and pretty gross.
The pictures don't do this place justice...it's cute, open and bright! Soaring windows and an open loft gives the kids space and privacy while remaining in earshot, and the parents can sleep in the enclosed bedroom. It was 1980s style in all the best ways...well maintained and a nostalgic flashback to my childhood! A subtle path in the backyard leads to a gorgeous creek, and a short walk takes you to a grand view of the Cowlitz River. Lightweight folded seats and tray tables worked well around the firepit.
Our family loved staying in this cozy cabin in Packwood. It was just minutes to the entrance of Rainier National park. The cabin has everything you need in it to be comfortable. Packwood is an adorable town just 3 minutes away! Would definitely stay again !
We really enjoyed our time here! We had great access to Mt.Rainier and our kids enjoyed playing at the river. The cabin is cute, clean, and provided all our needs. Kitchen is fully stocked with all things for cooking. It was a great week!
This cabin was a fantastic setting for the weekend I hoped to have with good girlfriends -- after running the inaugural Mt. Rainier Half Marathon, we simply wanted a place to retreat, relax, cook, eat, play games, talk and laugh. The area is beautiful -- we enjoyed exploring the creek behind the house and the Cowlitz River just down the road. The only thing the cabin lacked were chairs to sit on both decks and by the firepit. Also, I highly recommend clearing a small path from the back deck to the creek and placing chairs back there to enjoy a morning coffee or evening beverage. It's a gorgeous, peaceful spot to cherish!
Nice little cabin, the beds were decent quality and comfortable. I wouldn't call it lavish but it was clean. Biggest downside is no A/C which is a bummer in summer heat. Which makes you want to sleep with the window open...sadly you won't sleep well if you do since the cabin is close to the HWY and passing traffic is quite audible.
Loved staying here, such a cozy place! The fire place was geat, they have an awesome range of classic dvds, perfect to watch after a long hike. the nearby river is beautiful and the ambient sound it produces is amazing to hear.
Beautiful cabin with everything you need on premises. The loft is amazing! There are lovely decks around much of the cabin as well. And a great place to rent if you like to take your dogs along.
This quaint cabin was perfect for our family. We enjoyed skiing White Pass, then coming back to warm up by the cozy stove. Cabin was clean and well stocked. We would definitely stay here again.
