We enjoyed 3 nights at the cabin. After 6-7 miles of hiking each day, it was a great place to relax and prepare for the day ahead. We enjoyed mostly groceries but did have yummy pizza at Cruisers and a terrific breakfast at the Mountain Goat. Thanks for a great stay!
Very cozy, cute cabin. Everything was perfectly organized, well stocked and clean. We stayed for two nights while visiting Mount Rainier national Park. It was a good location with easy entrance into the park. The town of Packwood was. just five minutes away, making grocery shopping and dinners out very convenient.
My friends and I stayed here for four nights to hike the Goat Rocks Wilderness and Mt. Rainier trails. The cabin was comfortable for our group of 5. Thankfully the air conditioning worked well when the temperature went up to 93!
The photographer did a great job making this cabin look bigger than it is. However, it was great for 5 friends and affordable. The kitchen is well stocked. It was clean and I really appreciated the fan in the downstairs bedroom as the air conditioner doesn't keep up downstairs, way better than having none for sure. Cruisers Pizza is a nice stop for lunch. They have a wide variety of food.
The cabin is very close to the Stevens Canyon entrance to Mt. Rainier and was very comfortable for our family of 4 with room to spare. Our boys loved the loft area and it was very convenient to have bathrooms on both floors. It was very clean and comfortable with great amenities for cooking and entertainment. I would definitively stay here again and recommend it to others visiting the area.
This cabin was perfect for our ski weekend. It was well equipped, comfortable, cozy and very quiet. We loved the old cabin feel; but it has good amenities-kitchen was well equipped and well labeled. Bathrooms were good, bedrooms comfortable. We really enjoyed coming home after stellar skiing at White Pass and relaxing. Weâll stay here again!
Papa's Packwood cabin is a clean and convenient cabin to base out of tot explroe the area and to access White Pass skiing (20-30 minutes)
It is a cabin so don't expect 5 star Ritz Carlton accommodations but is is clean, comfortable and generally fun. It is outfitted with plenty of gams, streaming and wifi.
Our family of 7 (4 adults, 2 children and 1 infant) had a great time and woudl rent again.
This property was more well-equipped than the listing stated. There was everything there we could possibly need for cooking, etc. There was a keurig, a regular coffee maker, a microwave, a hair dryer. Everything was labelled clearly and easy to find. The beds were comfortable and the place was very clean. The neighborhood was very quiet. There was adequate parking for probably up to 4 vehicles. There was a lovely fire pit that can be used if there is no fire ban. The heating system was easy to use. I do not have a single negative thing to say about this property and I would definitely stay here again. Also, the owners were very prompt in responding to any questions both before our arrival and during. The cottage is old and is definitely a cottage, so if you are looking for luxury, you should probably stay somewhere other than Packwood, but I felt very comfortable there. Also, you have gas stations, coffee shops, and grocery stores right in town. Surprisingly the gas was cheaper there than in larger towns.
We really enjoyed our stay at Papaâs cabin! It was a perfect home base for us as we spent a lot of time exploring and hiking. Great access to town, restaurants, and grocery store.
We took advantage of the fire pit, grill and outside deck. It was just a peaceful and pretty location to spend time with family.
We had a great time using this house as a base as we explored Mount Rainier. The house was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. There was even cooking oil and some spices available.
This was the perfect place to explore Mt. Rainier! The town, Packwood, was awesome! We enjoyed getting coffee at Mountain Goat every morning and the food at Blue Saloon and Cruisers Pizza was delicious! We saw so many elk around the town too which was awesome! This cabin was only 20-30 min away from the Ohanapecosh entrance to Mt. Rainier! We were only 1 hour away from the other 2 entrances - Sunrise and Paradise. I also loved the binder that the host provided with fun day activities, menus of the local restaurants and the hikes around Mt. Rainier, they were incredibly helpful! I would definitely stay here again!
We were a group of 6-4 adults and 2 kids. Our plan was to explore Mt. Rainier.
This location was perfect! The neighborhood was quiet and quaint. The home was clean and well equipped with amenities. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of pots and pans, silverware, and appliances. The stove was new, clean, and easy to use.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pillows and bed were perfectly soft and comfortable. I appreciate having a washer and dryer to use.
The directions listed within the home made everything easy to use.
I would stay here again.
This cabin is a great place to stay if you plan to visit mount Rainier. Photos are exact, nice area to sit outside, a bit cramped inside. Older, no renovations done recently. At the same time very clean. I have complaints about bbq not working, they fixed it the next day but my expectation is everything to be in order. Also bbq was very dirty. Washing machine didnât work too, wasnât fixed, needs major repair. Overall nice but appliances have to be fixed.
