Ideal for large family vacation with clean huge kitchen and ample seating and sleeping quarters, impressive views, convenient location. The entertainment room/theater with 12 reclining sofas and the swimming pool were most frequented. The host management responded quickly to address and fix the gate, replacing batteries for outside dining lamps, and attempts to fix the master suite AC. We enjoyed our large family vacation immensely and would return to this property without hesitation if available next trip to area.

Beautiful property in a beautiful location. It was great to have a swimming pool to jump into after our daily adventures on Hawaii. It was a bit difficult to get into the ocean there as the house was not located on a sandy beach. Putting that aside, we truly enjoyed our stay at Hale Pua. Aloha.

The house was wonderful and you couldn’t beat the location. This was a once in a lifetime vacation for my family and it didn’t disappoint. I only wish I had a few more days to just relax at the house. We stayed too busy doing activities!

Family Vacation

We had a great family vacation with kids and grandkids. It was a perfect house for together time but close enough to other activities fo some individual activities as well. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!!

The Hale Pua property provided an excellent location for our Family Vacation with 14 attendees, aged 3 months to 70. The large kitchen, bedrooms, and living spaces provided excellent accommodations and areas for all to gather together or spread out as desired. The property is very well maintained. The yard provided plenty of room and the landscaping is well maintained and beautiful.The Home's location provides excellent ocean and sunset views. Wave action precluded any direct access to the ocean at most times of our stay. The pool and hot tub provided a great alternative to ocean access while still being able to listen to the calming sound of the waves. The game and media rooms provided a great location for the kids to enjoy each other's company.The Home was well stocked. The dual dishwashers, dual washers and dryers, and three large refrigerators were very welcome for our large group.The Host communication was very good, accurate, and timely. The location is very convenient to explore the Big Island, but very few items are within walking distance. This Home had all the luxuries and amenities one could desire with no down sides.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to all.

The house was everything they advertised. It was the best stocked kitchen I’ve ever seen. The view was spectacular and the pool/hot tub were great. The bedrooms were nice and cool and comfortable and the house was plenty big enough for the ten of us with room to spare. The beach amenities were a nice surprise - beach chairs/umbrella/plenty of snorkeling equipment/water shoes/toys. Highly recommend!

Our family had a fantastic time on the Big Island! Hale Pua is a great property. It is well stocked with everything you need for a large group. It is great to wake up everyday and enjoy the beauty of the ocean as you sit and on the patio with the ocean in your backyard. The location is near shopping and restaurants. The host was very easy to work with and very responsive. Highly recommend for a larger group. Mahalo!

Kona Family Vacation

The house was fabulous! Four families, 8 adults and 7 kids! Space for all! Kitchen was well equiped, everything worked well, and extememly clean, and well decorated! Hated to leave! The pictures don’t do it justice!

Great house for large group

Our group of three families had a great time at Hale Pua. Large, comfortable, well-stocked. The house is on a busy street but road noise was never a problem. The location is great for exploring the island. Would definitely recommend and return if we get the chance.

The Best!

Oh my gosh this was the Best vacation ever! We bought food to cook and never had to leave the property our entire stay there. We had a semi beach for the kids and adults to play in. And every thing else and then some was right there. The View and home were absolutely stunning. Thank you, our stay was worth every single penny.

Exceeded expectations!

Beautiful property in a great location! Loved the pool and hot tub and the backyard had enough grass for the kids to play soccer and football. Snorkeling was great along with the fishing in the ocean behind the home. There was plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our group of fourteen. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful home on the water

We stayed here with 3 teenagers and three small children. The pool was great and the view of the water from the backyard was amazing. We loved the kitchen and the master bedroom suite. Had one question for management and they responded very quickly. Would definitely stay here again!

Family Christmas Reunion

This is a large beautiful home with plenty of room for people to spread out and yet be close. We all enjoyed watching the surf and the relaxing sound of waves throughout our stay.Communicating with three different management groups including VRBO became confusing and tedious.

Friends enjoyed Hale Pua

The home was as advertised. We had plenty of room and beds for 5 couples. We spent many evenings eating outside and enjoying the beautiful sunset and view. The theater room was a bonus and a great place for our group to take in a movie. We had a fabulous time and Hale Put met or exceeded our expectations.

Stunning post card worthy views, great location, close to town, and wonderful, communicative hosts. Would be lucky to stay here again in the future. There are a few things to borrow for the beach but it would be nice if an umbrella, cooler and beach chairs were available to use as you'll have to source those for yourself.
