NOUVELLE RÉNOVATION EN 2017! La maison a 213 PIEDS DE FRONTAGE D'EAU DU LAC MICHIGAN à l'embouchure de la baie de Grand Traverse. La nouvelle grande salle au plafond voûté est un endroit parfait pour se détendre et profiter de toute la beauté de la nature avec une vue à 180 degrés sur la baie. Couchers de soleil tous les soirs de l'année! La maison donne sur la péninsule de Leelanau et les îles Fox. La nuit, vous pouvez voir le phare du parc d'État de Leelanau vaciller au loin. Le foyer en pierre Petoskey est une touche de charme «Up North» à examiner au cas où vous n'en trouveriez pas sur notre plage.

La nouvelle cuisine a une cuisinière à gaz, un réfrigérateur à profondeur de comptoir, un mélangeur Kitchen Aid, des comptoirs en quartz et beaucoup d'espace pour préparer les aliments. Il a un tabouret de bar à quatre places et donne sur la salle à manger et la grande salle.

Les chambres ont de nouveaux draps, couettes et placards. Chaque chambre a une vue sur le lac pour que vous puissiez vous réveiller et que votre esprit puisse commencer à errer dehors.

La maison est située dans le pittoresque village de Norwood, à seulement 13 km au sud de Charlevoix et à 45 minutes au nord de Traverse City. Vous pouvez vous rendre à l'île Mackinac, une pléthore de terrains de golf, de kiosques à fruits, d'établissements vinicoles, de Sleeping Bear Dunes, de Castle Farms en moins d'une heure de route!

Un seul escalier et vous êtes sur la plage! Notre plage de 213 pieds a principalement du sable et quelques rochers et est très privée. L'eau est d'un bleu cristallin et la nature est à son meilleur. La maison est située sur une route sans issue isolée qui offre certaines des plus belles vues pour des promenades décontractées et l'observation de la faune. Des pygargues à tête blanche, des huards, des cygnes et des faucons sont vus quotidiennement! Il y a un parc de comté à 800 mètres au nord qui se connecte au parc d'État de Fisherman's Island. Il y a un terrain boisé (que nous possédons également) au nord de la maison, ce qui ajoute à votre intimité et protège vos voisins. Si vous êtes un plaisancier, vous pouvez déposer votre bateau sur divers sites de lancement dans le lac Charlevoix, le lac Torch ou 1/4 mile sur la route au Norwood Park (pour le canotage du lac Michigan).

La maison dispose de quatre chambres queen, mezzanine avec deux lits jumeaux et sous-sol fini également avec deux lits jumeaux. Il y a une salle de bain surdimensionnée au rez-de-chaussée et aussi une toute nouvelle grande salle de bain au sous-sol.

Il y a une table de pique-nique et un pont en pin massif, 4 chaises anti-gravité, un barbecue au charbon pour l'extérieur et une table de baby-foot dans la salle de jeux du sous-sol. Aussi Cornhole et Ladderball pour les jeux en extérieur.

LA DOUCHE À L'EAU CHAUDE EXTÉRIEURE sur la plage permet de rincer la plage (ou de prendre une douche le matin!) très pratique et unique! De nombreux locataires (et nous-mêmes) ont pris une douche et ont vu les pygargues à tête blanche locaux voler pour leur repas du matin. Une expérience paisible et incroyable!

Il y a tellement de choses à faire à proximité: faire du shopping, du canotage, de nombreux excellents terrains de golf, ou tout simplement vous détendre dans le hamac et écouter la baignade sur le rivage! Venez profiter du nord du Michigan à son meilleur.

Lake Michigan cottage

Great location on a dead end road. Only saw the neighbors a few times. Interior was spacious with a kitchen table for 10. Loved sitting in the backyard reading and looking at Lake Michigan. Great rock collecting beach.

Great location! Large lawn area for play, picnics, fire pit and sunset gazing. House is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Beachfront is awesome. Lots of amenities made for a fun and memorable stay. Thank you!

Beautiful house with a great view

The house if beautiful, close to the beach with direct access, well stocked with things like towels for showers, blankets on the beds, pillows. There were plenty of fans for the rooms since there is no air conditioning, we brought extra our own as well. The only down side was the fruit flies.

House and Lake Views are Breathtaking... The house is very well kept and CLEAN. The location is super quiet and great for relaxing. Our stay was 100% stress-free. We would love to return to this awesome home away from home on beautiful Lake Michigan.

Fantastic Lake House

What a wonderful home, everything promised and more! Extremely well kept, very cozy & the sunsets were beautiful! Lots to do in the area, but sitting down by the Lakefront was most relaxing! We are looking forward to another trip in the near future!

Perfect rental for families

This was an amazing rental house for our family which included multiple ages and interests! We enjoyed the well stocked kitchen, firepit, proximity to area attractions and necessities! It was an easy place to relax, with plenty of space for three households to spend the week together under one roof! The owners were friendly and responsive when we had questions, and made the whole process easy and enjoyable!

Beautiful Property and area!

Beautiful stay for our 40th Wedding Anniversary! We had a problem with the hot water heater not working and Carrie (the owner) responded quickly, even on a Sunday! Overall, great experience!

Amazing location - Best Petoskey stone beach ever!

The highlight of this property is the view from the very comfortable living room (big table that fits everyone, nice couches and chairs, huge windows looking at Lake Michigan) and the yard and beach! We walked on the beach every morning, evening and a couple of times in between most days on successful hunts for cool rocks, especially Petoskey stones, which we found every time.

Magical week!

We had the perfect family reunion (8 adults, 2 children) at this beautiful house. Work-horse of a kitchen, a living room with those amazing sunset views (!!!), comfy bedrooms, fun backyard, and the private beach! Truly can’t say enough. And Carrie is a perfect host — warm, responsive, just great. We would come back here in a heartbeat. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Beautiful stay! Lovely home

We enjoyed a long weekend stay at the home which was perfect in size and space for our family of 9, comfThe sunsets all nights we were there were amazing. The beach is lovely, though rocky in the water. Bring water shoes if you want to swim It was private, relaxing and the kitchen was well appointed. (The dishwasher was broken so that made for a lot of dishwashing as we ate our meals at home. She apologized, but I specifically rented a place with a dishwasher Couple irritating things. Detached garage was full of trash from previous guests. No beach towels at the beach house. Luckily, we brought some. TV was old and tiny. Not what one would expect for such a lovely and expensive rental.

Perfect nature lover's getaway

What an ideal spot to enjoy the charms of northern Lake Michigan! It is perfectly situated to sightsee in Charlevoix and Petoskey and/or to find solitude exploring the many interesting preserves and natural areas of the Grand Traverse region…if you can bring yourself to leave the cottage. We brought a canoe and kayaks and discovered delightful beaches on the nearby shore with intriguing history and geology. The water in the Bay is crystal clear; it was like paddling through wavy glass. Watching a porcupine nap in a tree at the edge of the yard and savoring sunsets and starlight around beach campfires were other highlights. Everything is exactly as presented in the listing – clean and comfortable with many thoughtful touches provided by the owners. We’ve rented several northern Michigan cottages and family members from 5 to 65 were enthusiastic about both the home and the lovely location.

Great stay

We booked this house as a last minute family vacation. Carrie, the owner, could not have been more helpful with suggestions and advice. She was always quick to respond to any of my emails and texts. The property was perfect for our small family of 4. Two boys, 5 and 3. We spent every morning and evening on the beach. The beach toys in the shed were perfect. We searched for Petosky stokes, make rock castles and watched the sunsets. The house is located in a darling little neighborhood, 15 mins to downtown Charlevoix, and 50 mins to Traverse City. We took advantage of the location and went on daily Michigan adventures. The house was very clean, the kitchen had everything we needed. I was worried about no air conditioning but the basement stayed cool so we slept down there. Had we slept upstairs we would have had to use the fans. Overall, I recommend this property to all ages. It’s like a secret slice of heaven.

Wonderful stay!!

I was really kind of torn about writing this review. This place is amazing and I really didn't want anyone else to find out about it so that we could keep booking it. In the end, I decided to not be selfish. My family has stayed in quite a few places on Lake Michigan, but this place is the best yet. I have a 4 year old and and 8 month old. So, of course with the 8 month old I was concerned about how clean it would be since she crawls everywhere. That is really the first thing I noticed when I walked in, just how clean it was. It was kept up the way that we would keep a place up if we had a lake house. This is a really great place to go if you have kids. There are lots of toys and games already there, which my 4 year old LOVED! The pack and play and the high chair were big bonuses for us as well. It was really nice not having to pack those. This place just had everything we needed. The yard is also pretty private, which is nice. Most places on the lake have long, crazy staircases to get down to the beach, but not this place. It's just a short flight down and you are right on the beach. There are tons of rocks down on the beach and we found the best Petoskey stones right there. Oh man, and the sunsets...I can't even explain how beautiful they are. The only bad thing I can say is that the bed in the room my husband and I picked was not very comfortable, but there are plenty of other beds to choose. So, I think next time we would just sleep in a different room, which is fine. All in all, this place is wonderful and we are already planning our trip for next year.

July 4th Family get away

We had an incredible time together as a family at this vacation home on Lake Michigan. Everything was great and all of us were able to just relax and enjoy the beach / views. The home and property were exactly as they were shown in the images.

Beautiful view

It is a beautiful house and the view. We really enjoyed staying there good location. Was pretty windy when we was there so didn’t get to enjoy sitting out by the lake. We went up there for my niece wedding at castle farm. But if we get a chance to go up there again, we would rent the house again. Can’t say enough about the view.

Peaceful week away with amazing sunsets!

The location was perfect for our needs, quiet enough to be peaceful but close enough to easily explore the town and other activities. Property was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay! Tons of nearby places to explore and enjoy. The sunsets over the lake were amazing!

Beautiful Views

We had a lovely stay at the house. The views are incredible - waves and sunsets. We spent lots of time looking for Petoskey stones and admiring the unusual rocks on the beach. There were plenty of rooms for our family gathering and lots of room in the common areas for us all to relax, play games and eat together. The street was fairly quiet and we were able to walk and bike to explore the area. But Charlevoix is so close for dining and shopping needs. We hope to stay here again.

We LOVE to spend time relaxing on the 'big lake' with family and friends. We have extensive family in the area and know it is the spot we want to be in when we retire. Nothing beats a sunset over Lake Michigan with your loved ones sitting beside you!

We have a gorgeous view of the lake including a wooded lot so you won't encounter many neighbors. We have made our home unique and comfortable by having a grill, solid pine patio furniture, outdoor beach shower, wifi, finished basement, and a large renovated bathrooms for our guests. The close proximity to town is nice but also great to be away from it too.
