We really enjoyed our visit and stay at this house. It is close enough to the metro station and Leesburg, but away from the development. We would definitely stay here again.
A cottage from another time in History but well maintained in a great location close to everything. 5 miles from foodlion 30 minutes from DC. You can even hitch a ride on the Metro train 10 miles away.
The cottage was everything it says it is and more! As you enter the front door and take your first look around you will know right away, you made the right choice. Itâs just far enough and close enough. The cottage is close enough to the vineyards, the stores, restaurants and other points of interest and just far enough to feel you are in an entirely different world. To us, it was a wonderful visit and definitely on our list for a repeat.
If youâre looking for an excellent place to stay thatâs very clean, has very comfortable beds to sleep in, and is close to everything then this is the place to stay. The owner was very responsive to a few simple questions and was just overall excellent to work with. Highly recommend staying here.
Lovely cottage at Oatlands with all the comforts of home
My husband and I had a wonderful weekend in this beautiful historic property. Itâs not too far down Rt.15, so there are lots of restaurants nearbyâ and the Wegmanâs is only 20 minutes away. We were truly able to relax when we wanted to. We found this home to be a particularly good value. Also we appreciated all the vintage, homey touches! At the same time, itâs nicely updated to include modern conveniences and is quite easy to live in.
The house was as described. Perfect location for what we wanted to do. Relax and see some sights. The kitchen is stocked with anything you would need to make meals/cook. All of us slept like babies as the beds were comfortable. Bathroom is fully stocked along with a little library if you're a history buff. Lots of battlefields are close by. If you're looking to go into DC for the day - Ashburn Metro is close (it's under an hour train ride in)! Homeowner Jeremy was just a call away - although we never needed him as he's made a home away from home for whoever stays.
Great place with a cool history. All amenities were well thought out. Loved all the information that the Owner provided - both for local options while staying and historical options. Cannot recommend enough. Thanks for a memorable weekend!
Hello! We stayed at this farmhouse for a friends wedding weekend at Stone Tower Winery. It worked out great and would stay again if ever in the area. Thanks!
The house was perfect.. It was completely stocked with more than everything we needed. The outside patio/fire pit was awesome. Owner responded right away to our messages.
I would give this 10 stars if I could!
We absolutely loved our stay. House was beautiful, clean, and very cozy. Host thought of everything to make our stay most enjoyable. Definitely recommend.
We traveled from NC and my daughter and grandkids traveled from Romania for a 6 day retreat! We didnât have to supply anything but the food. The house was well stocked, clean and centrally located near many Loudoun Wineries. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and walk down the old dirt road near the property. The host provided great pre-visit information and clear check-out info. We will definitely be back!
Neat little home built in the 1800âs. Home was neat and clean with everything we needed for our stay in the Leesburg area. A bit out of town, but it was only 15 minutes from our daughterâs house.
We had a wonderful stay at this historic farmhouse. Jeremy is an awesome host! The beds were comfortable, rooms were clean, and the property was in superb condition. Will be back !
What a beautiful historic property. The whole area is just incredible. The house had everything one could need and a many very appreciated extra touches (water system, good coffee and tea, local honey, really nice bathroom products). We loved it here and would absolutely stay again.
We have lived in Northern Virginia for over 25 years and Loudoun County for 20 years. We have a great appreciation for the historical experiences this area has to offer along with all of the hidden gems there are to discover.
This property has endless potential for small family or friend gatherings, and culinary experiences. The kitchen is fully stocked with a spice rack, bakeware, saute pans, tupperware, silverware, and both antique and/ or modern china to choose from. The owners of this property are also willing to lend to renters whatever additional items they may need.
