Ruined Vacation! Lied to by Blue Swell

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Blue Swell promised us some type of resolution for issues with our stay. After we were off property they completely ghosted us. I would not let anyone I know do business with these folks. Stay Far away, we have no choice now but to pursue legal action. Had to stay at another condo and take more time off of work just to try and salvage something for our kids.
Réponse de VrboOwner le 30 août 2026
We’re truly sorry to hear that you were left feeling this way after your stay. We understand how frustrating and upsetting it must have been, especially after having to find another condo, take additional time off work, and make alternate arrangements for your children. We also sincerely apologize if you felt that your concerns were not followed up on after you departed. That is certainly not the experience we want any guest to have. If a resolution was discussed, we understand your expectation that we would follow through with clear and timely communication. We take your feedback seriously and will be reviewing the communication and follow-up surrounding your stay with our management team. While we cannot comment on any potential legal matters in a public forum, we want to assure you that your concerns have been heard and will be taken seriously. We regret that we were unable to provide the experience you and your family deserved, and we’re sorry that your vacation was impacted to this extent.

6/10 Satisfaisant

Les points forts : Communication
First I have to take credit for not purchasing insurance... Didn't expect my mother to die. I rarely ever get to take vacation because I have to work and provide. I've sent my family to Alaska, California Florida and others while I stayed home and worked. So when I finally saved enough to actually get to go myself, I was going and didn't care if my house burned down or what because I was going. Then I got the call my mom was being rushed for emergency surgery. I immediately notified Blue Swell and received sympathy and a reminder that I didn't purchase the insurance and was paying for it regardless. 3 days later the doctor notified us that her condition wasn't conducive with life and I spent the next 40 hours sitting by her side waiting for the end. Then funeral planning... I didn't purchase insurance and Blue Swell offered no options to help in any way. I prefer a more personal approach to business and will not be staying with them again
