This was a super cute place for my friends and I to stay before my brother's wedding. Excellent kitchen, and the hot tub was a lifesaver after dancing half the night.
If you're heading to Index for hiking, you would be hard-pressed to find a better location. From this property, it's only minutes to spots like Heybrook Ridge and Bridal Veil Falls/Lake Serene, and only 20 minutes to Wallace Falls. The property is comfortable and peaceful, the kitchen is huge and well-equipped, the hot tub is a welcome delight at the end of a long day on the trails, and the ever-present sound of the river is the best background noise you could ask for. Enjoy!
I stayed for a couple weeks and the stay its self was great! Over a week after I checked out the host informed me there was damage(I suspect there was none), added a 1,500 payment to the account and told me I needed to fix it myself or pay that amount and continued to harass me until I contacted VBRO. It was very unprofessional and left a really bad taste in my mouth, stay at your own risk.
Booked this little gem and was very pleased. Spent most of the time around the fire pit or in the hot tub. There was plenty of space, very clean and over all we had a great time. It was nice to be able to hear the river and we had a clear night to see the stars. Would stay again for sure.
A group of friends and I stayed at this cabin for a weekend trip to ski at Stevens Pass and we couldn't be happier with this property! It was right on the river, complete with a hot tub to soak after a long day on the mountain. The kitchen was well stocked and the fireplace/heater made our stay so cozy. We can't wait to come back in the spring!
Moondance Lodge was cozy, and a bit rustic. It was certainly adequate, but could do with a little refurbishing, mainly in the living area and the deck outside the upstairs bedroom. The kitchen appeared to be recently remodeled, but lights were out, so it was somewhat dim. Also, the water and ice dispenser in the refrigerator did not work.Theupstairs bathtub drain was very slow. Tried plunging, but didn 't help. Would suggest having a name and phone number available for emergencies, in addition to the email address. The lockbox batteries went dead the second time we tried to enter. Fortunately, we had left the back door unlocked by mistake, so got in that way. We did buy batteries and install them for the rest of our stay. Also alerted the property manager by email, but didn't get a response until late the following day. Overall, the house is okay; could just use some TLC and maintenance. The surrounding woods, river and Mt. Index are beautiful!
The location is so nice and peaceful. We went for a girls weekend getaway and had a wonderful time. There was lots of space for the three of us to spread out and just enjoy a quiet weekend.
My partner and friend had a great stay here. Close to Stevensâs and loved relaxing in the hot tub after a day on the mountain. Would recommend this area and space!!
overall a good experiece. a couple things could be better represented. it's a 2 story house but the kitchen is upstairs, you can't tell that from the pictures. also no real view or access directly to the river. the bank behind the house is cut away and too steep to safely climb down, a trail to the river is down the street. a tarp stretched across the bottom of the master bedroom balcony is not really adequate when it rains.the dishwasher cabinet is not secured to the counter making loading the bottom drawer an adventure. other than that, o.k.
really enjoyed our time. There was 4 adults and five kids in our party plenty a room for all of us. Course the kids did Decide to sleep in a big pile on the floor LOL. Nice hot tub and fire pit outside. Couple of things around the house I would upgrade but for the price iâm not complaining. The pictures online do not do the dining room and kitchen justice itâs good size and on the second floor so it has a little bit of a view of the river. About 40 minutes to the pass just over an hour to Leavenworth.
Very clean and welcoming house! Very comfortable and had every amenity we needed! I highly recommend this place for group stays, and snowboard trips to Stevens pass, as itâs only 40 minutes from the summit!
Everything we needed to enjoy a week away with our family. The pictures did not do it justice, it was cute, airy, and spacious. Hikes nearby and the sound of the river to relax you while in the hot tub. We were thankful to find this place.
