We had 10 people (8 adults, 2 children) stay for three nights - everything about this house was perfect. There were so many supplies - everything from games and puzzles to sufficient cooking gear - that made the house simply perfect. Whidbey is magical and there's lots to explore - but we found it difficult to leave the house because it was so comfortable. Photos can't do this place justice - it's large and open and accommodating.
We are frequent VRBO customers but this house exceeded every expectation! The view was incredible, bald eagles flew by several times a day. The house was clean, roomy and really well supplied with a lot of extra things like beach towels, lawn chairs, blankets, spices. The owner was very easy to communicate with. We traveled with our 5 adult children. This whole part of the USA was a new experience for us and we found we had way more planned than we had time for because ferry travel was pretty limiting. I wish our trip had been 2 days longer. I highly recommend this home.
We often stay on Whidbey Island, and this was by far the best place. The house is very well-kept and a wonderful place for a family getaway. There were a lot of toys and puzzles for kids. There are plenty of places to walk and explore in the nearby parks and trails. The host was communicative and helpful in preparing for our stay. We enjoyed our stay at the Good Place.
The house has spectacular views of the sound. It was spacious enough to accommodate the 6 of us who stayed in the house. Very happy with the accommodations.
The moment you walk into the house you are met with the most magnificent view. Tons of room and privacy for all with each room having access to its own bathroom. The kitchen is gorgeous and well appointed. Its a kids dream with toys, small kids sofa as well as a kid-size table and chairs in the kitchen. My favorite feature was taking my cup of coffee out each morning and sitting in the hot tub watching large ships go by in the sound in total privacy. My only regret is that we didn't book it for a longer period of time.
We stayed here for our annual family reunion this summer. It's all one level, which was great for our little ones and my 93 year old father. The four bedrooms were spacious and all but the kids room had attaching bathrooms.
What drew us to the place was the giant kitchen and ocean view. Both exceeded expectations. It seems to be along a main shipping lane for the Puget Sound and we enjoyed viewing the barges, sailboats, and seaplanes from the living room, deck and hot tub.
South Whidbey Park is within walking distances and has lots of great walking/hiking trails, but no beach access (trail currently closed). But we went to the nearby Freeland Park, which does have beach access and a great playground for the kids.
Everyone agreed this one is a keeper and we'll return.
We are seven friends of 45 years who look for a warm and cozy home for our annual vacation together. What a wonderful house in a picture perfect setting. We golfed, hiked, walk the beach, played games and visited small quaint towns. We had wonderful meals and terrific wine in a well appointed kitchen. So relaxing! Glenn, the host, is first rate. I had one minor concern which he handled immediately and with such grace. We loved seeing the momma and baby deer each morning, the cruise ships sailing mid-day and the incredible sunsets each evening. We plan to return since it far surpasses all our expectations.
We (7 college friends in our 50s) had a wonderful stay. The house is spacious and beautiful and luxurious, and we spent countless hours on the deck watching the sunsets, the ships going by, and the stunning mountain views. And the yard deer! We hiked, watched birds at various Whidbey locations, and explored Coupeville, Port Townsend, and Deception Pass. Everything was as advertised and all the logistics worked out perfectly. The only tip we have is that the Smart TV only had the Amazon Prime app so we went to Ace Hardware for an HDMI cable and streamed other apps from a laptop to the TV to watch the Olympics, etc. Many thanks for time at this lovely home.
This was the second time we have stayed at Glenn's vacation home in Greenbank on Admiralty Inlet. The view from the spacious back deck is spectacular and the house is large and comfortable. A tree fell one of the nights we were there blocking the driveway, and Glenn was very responsive in arranging for it to be removed. I mentioned to Glenn that the house is starting to show a little age, and I am sure he will address that. We would stay at Glenn's place again if we return to Whidbey.
The lay out of the house allows for privacy between the bedrooms and tons of space. The kitchen island made it easy to serve groups of people between 6-9.
The view is absolutely fantastic and the hot tub was an added bonus. Having AC made the trip relaxing and stress free. Glenn the host was fantastic with quick responses to any questions.
Thank you
We enjoyed the comfort and views from this beautifully designed, well appointed home. A great base for exploring the island. Plenty of privacy but abundance of family space too.
Great place to stay and spend time with friends or family. Accommodates a wide range of ages.
And what a viewâŠâŠ.enjoyed seeing the eagles soar through the trees and over the water.
This was a perfect place for a family gathering. One of the best floor plans ever for a family with all age groups, and the view is breathtaking. We plan to stay here again.
The house is amazing and the view is incredible. The features in the home are also great: heated bathroom floors, controllable lights, very nice kitchen. It was clean and well apportioned, and you will likely have a really good time there. Excellent deck and hot tub.
Nitpicks: Owner let us know we needed to check-in late because of work he was having done after the booking request, but no consideration for that constraint. The house number is obscured by the adjacent mailbox so we missed our turn the first time. The road is dirt and very rough from the highway (but pretty short). The TV is pretty old and very slow with limited viewing apps available. The hot tub controls were locked with no indication of how to unlock them for jets (had to search web for answer). Being quiet is emphasized, but noise from kids at the close neighboring house came across more than once. The beds are flimsy and not very comfortable, definitely worse than a hotel.
Perfect place for families. Great common areas and also privacy with the four bedrooms. Fantastic views and great access to walking in the state park and along the beach. We loved our stay here and hope to come back again. No complaints.
Very comfortable home with a stunning view! Six cousins who travel from around the United States have a reunion every year. The accommodations were perfect for us! We are already talking about coming back next year!
This house was wonderful, clean, and fully appointed. I almost hesitate to leave the glowing review it deserves because I want it to be available again when I have other gatherings. The living room and kitchen are very spacious and perfect for a couple days of dining and visiting. The windows offer superb views of the water. Host was responsive and accommodating to our groups needs.
