Plongez dans l'atmosphère d'une cave vinicole rare en Alaska. Promenez-vous dans les élégants jardins ou profitez de la vue imprenable sur le glacier Grewingk tout en grillant sur le pont. Vous pouvez faire un feu pendant que vous jouez des fers à cheval ou faites un plongeon dans le bain à remous en pierre. Bear Creek Winery est ouvert tous les jours de 10 à 18 heures. Les clients bénéficient d'une dégustation de vin gratuite.

Vous adorerez le salon et la cuisine spacieux et ouvert. La chambre principale dispose d'un lit king size et d'une télévision à écran plat. Vous trouverez un lit queen dans la deuxième chambre et deux lits jumeaux dans la troisième. Profitez de la commodité des doubles lavabos dans la salle de bain et de la porte séparant les toilettes et la douche / baignoire. Notez qu'il n'y a pas de blanchisserie sur place.

Marchez de la cuisine / salle de séjour ouverte à la grande terrasse où vous trouverez un gril à gaz privé et de nombreuses places à l'extérieur donnant sur une vue imprenable sur la mer, les montagnes et le glacier. Ou profitez de cette vue à travers les grandes baies vitrées du salon. Tout le vin que vous pouvez acheter pour profiter dans votre suite est disponible à quelques pas de votre porte.

Contemplez les jardins, le foyer collectif et l’étang de koi depuis votre terrasse. Bear Creek Winery récolte les fruits de nos propres jardins pour les utiliser dans notre production. Des visites gratuites et sans inscription des installations de production (une promenade facile à 400 mètres de la route) sont les lundis, mercredis, vendredis et samedis à 11 heures.
En raison de nos jardins méticuleux, nous avons une politique stricte de non-animaux. Nous demandons également aux groupes avec des enfants plus jeunes de considérer que les motifs ont une atmosphère adulte. L'âge minimum recommandé pour les enfants est de huit ans.

L'heure d'arrivée est entre 15h-18h. Bear Creek Winery ferme tous les jours à 18 heures et nous préférons vous donner une orientation de bienvenue, de sorte que vous ne pouvez pas vous enregistrer vous-même. S'il vous plaît nous contacter pour plus de détails. Check out est 11 heures.

Homer Winery stay

We stayed three nights for a fishing outing. Very serene and tranquil setting with the bonus of a spectacular wine tasting. Used the fire pit one night which was great. The 3BR unit was perfect for 6 adults and all the needs were there for bathroom and kitchen.

Spring visit

This was the perfect place for the coming together of family members from all over--plenty of space, nice big living room for socializing, lovely views, very peaceful. The hosts were friendly and responsive and the lodgings just exactly what we were looking for. Thanks for a wonderful holiday!

Great Stay at Bear Creek Winery

We loved our stay at the Bear Creek Winery! The 3 bedroom unit was nicely appointed and beds were comfortable. Living furniture was comfortable . We had some concern that there was only 1 bathroom. Howeover, 2 bathroom sinks were always accessible as there was a door to the room with the toilet and shower. It was never a problem. We were pleasantly surprised to see such a wonderful view from the living room and deck of the Cook Inlet and the surrounding mountains which changed color at sunset. This view was such an unexpected bonus! The large round dining room table was perfect for our group of 5 and we enjoyed playing cards on it at night. The kitchen is well equipped. After a long travel day, we appreciated the salmon appetizer and bottle of wine given to us a check-in. The hot tub was wonderful and it was nice to have a covered bin with towels right next to it. The bath robes provided in the bedrooms were great for walking to the hot tub at night when it was colder outside. Wine tastings were fun and we especially loved, the chardonnay and strawberry wine. The apartment is close to Homer/Homer Spit. The drive-thru Coup coffee hut (excellent!) and grocery store are just down the street. There is also a laundromat in close proximity if you need it (10-15 min walk). You do need a car to get around Homer. The winery was responsive to our questions and needs. When the hair dryer stopped working they quickly sent us a replacement. We highly recommend this VRBO rental and hope to stay there again in the future!

Excellent launching point for Kachemak Bay adventuring

We stayed for 5 nights in July 2022 and it was perfect for our family. Great views, well stocked kitchen, clean, convenient location to Homer, Homer Spit, Kachemak Bay State Park ( via water taxi). We enjoyed the wine, salmon and chocolate on arrival and walking through the lovely gardens. We will stay again when we next visit the Kenai Peninsula.

Very disappointing from the moment we arrive.

We were greeted at our location with a $50 up charge for arriving after 6 PM. I’ve owned VRBO locations and we usually keep a lockbox outside the door so that people can arrive whenever they need to being that they’ve paid for that timeslot already.. The house smelled like a damp basement. The kitchen is outdated. I would not recommend this place for anyone looking to have a nice day.

The location is beautiful. The staff are wonderful. The apartment was clean and very pretty. We even got a plate of salmon appetizers, a bottle of wine and some chocolates as well. We love this place.

Quiet property with outstanding views and beautiful grounds.

We had a fantastic time during our stay. The apartment was well equipped with anything you need. We spent hours hanging out on the deck and in the hot tub, and also around the fire pit. The property was a bit busy while the winery was open, but so quiet after closing. We will definitely stay again on our next visit to Homer.

Grandson’s wedding

After living in Alaska for 30 years and being away for 8 years it was fantastic to be back and experience the beauty of this setting. Waking up to that view of the bay in the morning was amazing. Making wine started as a hobby for Bill Fry in the mid 1990's. After sampling a friends homemade Rhubarb Wine, Bill was not only impressed, but hooked. Wine making at the Fry's house began as a few small glass carboys on the kitchen counter. Bill's wine-making hobby quickly outgrew the kitchen and was moved to the garage. He experimented with anything he could get his hands on: raspberries, blueberries, kiwi, rhubarb and more. He received such good reviews from friends and family he wanted to share his creations with everyone and so the idea of Bear Creek Winery was born.

Bill and Dorothy jumped in with both feet and put everything they had into starting Bear Creek Winery and Lodging. They opened their doors in 2003 and thanks to the support of friends, family, and the locals of Alaska they began to grow. Wine was batched in 5 gal carboys, labels were printed from the home computer, and fruit was purchased from neighbors.

As word spread of Bear Creek's award winning wines and unconditional hospitality so did the popularity of their wines. With popularity came growth and Bill and Dorothy found themselves in need of more space and more help. Space came in the form of a new timber frame production facility that was finished in the summer of 2011 and help came in the form of their son-in-law, Louis Maurer, who moved to Homer with their daughter, Jasmine, in 2010. Louis worked alongside Bill and Dorothy, learning and collaborating, and in 2015 released his own brand of wines called Glacier Bear. As Bill and Dorothy transitioned into retirement years, Louis and Jasmine assumed ownership of the winery in 2019 and strive to continue their legacy of world class wines, unequaled customer service, and a community focused business.

Our small batch wine making model ensures excellent wine quality and we offer 9 core varietals and 5 seasonal wines in our expanded, comfortable tasting room. We have grown from 5 gal batches to 250 gallon batches and from producing 600 gallons our first year to 20,000 gallons a year but we have not forgotten our history. Thanks to all of our local supporters and traveling visitors who have helped us grow.
