We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The property was very clean and had everything we needed. Heart pond was beautiful and quiet. The hosts were great, even supplying coffee, waters and information about the area. I would most definitely want to stay here again. Thank you Rupert.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was beautifully decorated, very clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was the perfect location for our exploration of Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.
We had a fantastic stay for the start of our honeymoon
The property is on an amazing location on the water. The house was well maintained and there was excellent information on where to go for restaurants and different things to do in the area. If we ever come back to Maine this will be a place we stay again.
Beautiful Maine cottage on a small, crystal-clear pond in Maine. About halfway between Bangor and Bar Harbor (Acadia). Also great access to Deer Isle, Stonington, Blue Hill, and ferry to Isle au Haut (Acadia). Beautiful waterfront with kayaks and canoes, life vests, swim float. The owners beautifully furnished the cottage, and it's clean and well-equipped with absolutely everything you might need, including AC (it was a particularly hot and sticky week). It does back up to Rt. 1, so there is some traffic noise, but it didn't really bother us.The bugs were aggressive, but they backed off after the weather cooled down. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It was very clean and comfortable. Our host thoughtfully provided bottled water, coffee, condiments, spices, etc. We loved sitting by the lake and having the use of kayaks. kayaks
This was our home base for a few days as we explored New England. the house was great and the pond made for a nice evening swim. The light switch locations are a bit funny but we found that to be charming. Thanks for letting us stay in your place!
We wanted a home centrally located to the areas we would be visiting and this location was perfect. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for the stay.
We wish we could have enjoyed the beautiful yard and pond more, but we had a very busy schedule of activities and sights and were limited on time.
We enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin on Heart Pond for 4 days in June 2024. The outdoor amenities provided by the owners were great, canoes, tubes, paddle board, a delightful shaded patio, fire pit, grill and much more...including a beautiful view. We lounged and played in or by the water almost the entire time. This is a great place.
This is our second stay at this cottage and we recommend it highly. Cottage is beautiful and well equipped for fun at the lake for all ages. Owners are great to deal with and live nearby if you need anything.
We absolutely enjoy our stay, the place has everything you need for a perfect stay, we relax, we cooked, we love it, if we come back to Maine, we will definitely stay at this one again, thank you very much, host are super nice and very responsive.
Thank you.
Claudio E. and family
This is our second year in row. We canât think of a better place to stay when we are in the area. This has an amazing location within short driving distance to so many things to do, , great amenities, whether you like to relax with amazing waterfront views or just do some great outdoor activities all just a few steps from the front door. We are looking forward to our 3rd stay in the near future.
Very attractive property and setting. Good for two adults and up to 4 children. Sleeping is suboptimal for more than two adults. Difficult to find if arriving after dark.
This is a lovely house on a clear and beautiful lake. The house is spotless and well appointed with everything you will need for a great vacation. Rupert was over within minutes to deliver a lobster pot and responsive to any questions we had. Highly recommend as long as you know you will hear road noise when you are outside.
My husband and I traveled to Maine from Ohio. Since this was our first trip to the state of Maine, we wanted to see a bit of everything. We stayed at this wonderful cabin only three nights (wish we could have stayed longer!). The location was great - allowing us to be at Acadia National Park in less than an hour, yet distant enough from the crowds to feel secluded. The cabin is located on a beautiful pond, and the host provides the use of canoes, kayaks, and SUPs. The cabin is sparkling clean, and the host even left us a welcome gift of freshly-picked apples. We had a wonderful stay!
It was like this cottage was designed for us! Other than the traffic noise from the nearby road, this place exudes tranquility & convenience. Rupert was extremely friendly, helpful, and quick to reply. The cottage was well stocked with just about everything a family could need. We had a wife variety of weather during our week long stay, but the pond continued to be stunning & the cottage remained comfortable no matter the conditions outside! We will definitely return if life allows it!
My wife and spent a week at Rupert and Christineâs place. The property and location were great. Easy to get to MDI, and we explored Blue Hill and Deer Isle right below. Great hiking in Acadia, the numerous preserves in Blue Hill / Deer Isle and Great Pond Mountain (an easy hike close by with great views. The house was clean, comfortable with everything you need to enjoy the property and Heart Pond. Rupert was very responsive and a nice guy. Heart Pond itself is clean, clear and cold. Saw four loons and a bald eagle. Traffic on Route 1 was heavy on Saturday but tapered off during the week and was not a big deal. Would stay here again.
Communication was great from making reservations to departing. Property was easy to find right along highway and in evening traffics noise was very quiet. Home set up as described and we had everything needed to feel right at home and cooking. Beautiful setting right on the pond and water was like glass in evenings and mornings. Plenty of room and has wifi that can get a little weak at times but we still continued to do some work and all is good. Would recommend to anyone needing a few days away to enjoy a book or to visit all the nearby attractions.
This is our family's second visit to the cottage, and it was everything we were looking for in a vacation. The house is located close to Bucksport and Ellsworth with many restaurant, ice cream and grocery shopping options nearby. We spent two days in Bar Harbor, one hiking Acadia, another in the town walking the sand bar to Bar Island at low tide. It's a short 45 minute drive to the park.
We love being able to canoe/kayak/swim right out the back door. We like to be able to relax and just spend time together for our vacation, and this cottage lets us do exactly that.
The owners have thought of everything, which is why we like coming here so much!
