We absolutely loved the peace and tranquility to be found at this property and its location.
The property is well maintained and equipped with everything needed to enjoy a restful and relaxing stay.
Communication was great, the driving directions were spot on, and checking in couldnât have been easier.
Very highly recommended
We had the most relaxing holiday ever. The property was beautiful, the setting was beautiful. It is so cosy in the evenings with the log burner going. It truly was a fantastic holiday. We would definitely recommend to anyone that wants to forget the outside world for a bit and just relax.
Excellent week. An idyllic place to escape to for a holiday. Gorgeous countryside to explore and beaches to wander. Lots of wildlife to spot. A fire to come home. A perfect gateway. Thanks.
This property was WONDERFUL! The location was lovely, close to the A9, yet away from all the business. Kitchen had everything you need, bathroom lovely and the bed was so comfortable! I would stay here again and again. Yes, there is no WIFI or cell service, but itâs amazing to simply shut off. You can get cell service just outside if you need it in a pinch! Canât give enough good reviews on this property. Thank you for a lovely place to stay!
Nice house, not too big. No wifi or telephone, but no problem. Just be prepaired.
Nice environment for walking. Dornoch is a nice place too.
In Scotland a lot depends of the weather. We had sunshine, rain and hard wind. 14C in August, but we had a very good time.
We used this cottage as a base for day excusions on our long distance walk from Lizard Point to Dunnet Head. It was very comfortable and homely to return to each evening after a days walking. We were lucky with the weather so had no need of the open fire. We were very fortunate to see a pine marten run across the road on our arrival., and saw lots of other wildlife in the area. If you enjoy peace and tranquility with a pleasant view, and don't mind the lack of wi-fi, this is an ideal base for touring the area.
Small, clean and characterful if a bit cold and could do with a better cooker, crockery and utensils
We had a stay in the April Easter hols, the location and character of the property were super, very tiny but just what we needed. My partner (6foot5) did struggle with the low ceilings, beware tall folk! Definitely take extra jumpers and thermals as it does get really cold day and night, but a lovely spot to sit out front when the sun is out looking out over the fields. They could definitely do with updating that cooker though, the oven was awful and took forever to cook anything at all, an easy fix for them I think, along with grabbing some extra useful plates and glasses. The location really made it for us, walks form the house, away from it all but still close to amenities, just wish the doorways were a bit higher and we'd be back in a heartbeat, we might be yet.
Had a nice quiet stay in Dornoch. The place is simple and small but perfect in every way. Jaime was kind enough to allow our son to stay with us as well.
Beautiful location if you want total relaxation and scenery you have got it here
Unfortunately we had to leave early due to personal issues but would go back again in different circumstances for us thank you for our short and pleasant stay Robert and Ann
What a beautiful cottage to spend some time at. Weather was first class. The location is ideal if you wish to have a quiet and peaceful time with view out across the fields, especially when you have the opportunity to see the local wildlife, Red deer & Roe deer feeding in the field.
Look forward to returning
The property was originally bought by my parents as a holiday home in the late 60's , It didn't have electricity for many years so all our holidays were a great adventure spoting deer in the field at the front and catching baby salmon in the stream .
Over the years the property has been renovated and at the end of 2011 was completely re done inside and out but kept its original character it even has a dish washer !
