It was very hot! Everyone told me not having ac wouldn't be a problem in Colorado- unfortunately we took the Texas heat with us! The only room in the apartment that we had any relief from the heat was in the laundry room and the "livingroom" due to the overflow of air conditioning seeping in from cracks or vents adjoining the neighboring apartment. I was told to open the 2 exterior doors for good air flow but the screens were torn on both and mosquitos and spiders were an outside issue that i did not want to become an inside issue. The layout is very strange but that did not effect our stay whatsoever. I found it to be very odd that there is a door in the apartment that does not lock from the inside and the other side is to a single mans apartment- more importantly -- a strangers apartment... as a woman traveling with 2 kids this made me extremely uncomfortable...to say the least! I feel i should mention that the man in the apartment next door turned out to be a very kind man who did not bother us whatsoever. My favorite part about this place honestly is Trish... she was very sweet and accommodating when I needed to stay an extra day. If I found myself back in Fort Collins Id stay there again if it meant dealing with her (well and also if those screendoors were fixed )Aside from Trish, our favorite part about the apartment was the large tub with jets...we were in town for the Colorado Sparkler and my daughter was able to soak each evening after a long day of playing.
My partner, dog, and I needed somewhere to stay between our leases. I was able to work from home easily here and it was nice for what we needed it for. The natural area beside the property is great for dog walking. There is a pet fee for the stay.
Location was nice. The layout of property is awkward for more than two people. Was disappointed there was no A/C, also disappointed in lack of TV options as it was stream only, would like to have been able to get live news and sports channels. The hosts were great to work with.
Beds were comfortable. Seeing deer in the backyard was a treat! A little cool, and space heaters had to be brought in. The owner responded very fast to our requests. Might consider a small hospitality basket âtea/coffee, etc. we arrived later than expected after flight delays and had gotten pretty wet with the rain. A nice hot drink to make would have been nice. Good stay overall. Thank you!
When we arrived in town we found the place and parked and started to unpack. We went inside and saw that it is a property that is inside of a house so it's a shared property and not a stand-alone property. Most of the things inside the house were clean in terms of the bedding, sink, bathroom, etc. But the largest thing that stood out where there were spider traps everywhere. And the spider traps were full of huge spiders and other insects. So many spiders that my friend who was greatly afraid of them could not stay there or even think about sleeping there. After the assessment we saw that this was something that we didn't feel safe closing our eyes and laying down and decided to leave and last minute had to find another place to stay for the weekend. So if you like staying in a shared place that has tons of spiders, this is your place
First, I would like to say that the hosts were very friendly and helpful. All questions were answered quickly. The location was perfect for moving our daughter to school. There is no air conditioning. It does not say that it has it in the description so that mistake is on me. I'm only mentioning it here in case someone else doesn't think to check that. The space was sufficient for our needs. Now the shower: it was filthy. There was black and red mold on the tub, drain, and curtain. The mat should have been thrown away a long time ago as it was slimy with mold. It had a slow drain which grosses me out. The water backed up ankle deep. If these things weren't enough to show that it had not been cleaned in some time, there was a used bar of soap in there. It is unfortunate since the location is so close to where our daughter is living this year. There also seems to be a problem with spiders and insects as there were glue traps all over. I did only have to kill one spider though.
Very clean; location was great and owners were nice. Pretty chilly at night, even with the heat on; second bedroom definitely needed its own space heater and extra blankets. Could also use an outdoor light in the parking area! Layout of the space is a bit awkward as outside door opens into one of the bedrooms.
We had a wonderful stay in the apartment beside Red Fox Natural Area. It was ideal to simply walk out the door and access a trail for walking and jogging! The apartment was clean and the jacuzzi tub was amazing! Trish and Scott were super helpful and quick to communicate. Would definitely stay again!
The apt was just fine and super to be next to a small wilderness area as well as quick access to bike paths. For our use--working at least half-days and desiring to relax on the patio--the site was not at all ideal. It is located right next to a major road and there is constant road traffic noise. The hosts were quick to respond and the apt is accurately pictured in the description.
Great space with 2 bedrooms separated by the kitchen and shared bathroom. Firm bed and one that can use a bed topper or replacement. Nice hosts which we never interacted with so felt very private. We stayed a week with no issues.
We loved the apartment, perfect size for our use. We were able to spend Christmas with our son who is a CSU student in a nice cozy atmosphere. Everything we might had needed was available. We even needed a later departure and Scott and Trish were more than accommodating. Plan to stay there in the future.
Very secluded, excellent owners, fast internet. We loved this place plus it was very well priced for a roomy 2br with good parking. The owner communicated very well. We would stay again!
