Le sentier de randonnée Benton MacKaye se trouve à une courte distance de marche de votre cabine et à votre retour, plongez dans le grand bain à remous sous les étoiles au fil de l'eau ou buvez un verre en admirant l'eau depuis la terrasse enveloppante. Profitez de votre café du matin sur le porche filtré. En tant que chalet privé de Sliding Rock Cabins, le Riverhouse Retreat est niché sur 4 hectares de forêt profondément boisée dans les montagnes de la Géorgie du Nord et constitue une escapade romantique parfaite. Étage principal: 1 chambre king et 1 salle de bain avec combo douche / baignoire. À l'étage mezzanine a ouvert roi chambre et salle de bains avec combo baignoire / douche. Amazing place!

This place is amazing! From the fire pit right on the river to the screened in porch overlooking the river and hot tub, this place has everything! We are definitely coming back for a longer stay!

Wonderful weekend getaway

The property was perfect. Slept with the sounds of the creek. We loved the little fenced area to let the dogs out. It was very convenient for hiking. We would definitely come back!

Relaxing Retreat

We loved this place. It was a relaxing retreat. All you have to bring is food, clothes and a good book. The cabin has everything else that you need to relax and enjoy nature.

Low beam in the upstairs bathroom, and the lights on the fan at the cabin entrance. I learned to duck. Very happy for the dog friendly accommodations. This will be our top choice when we return to Blue Ridge.

Remote a good and bad thing😊

We had a great stay-everything we needed except cereal bowls…really? Comfy with great wrap around deck-3 sides Did not use hot tub but tempted since it was already warm!😃 No issues that would keep us from returning. Ground clearance and 4wheel drive could have been needed if very wet or snowy.

winter vacation

The staff if very attempt but still had a broken toilet that they said it will take an entire day or so to fix to what I said not to. I did not want to share my off-society time with an estranger on a very small cabin for a day or two working on the toilet. We also lost internet and phone for an entire day on top that there is not cellphone signal at the cabin, and I found very discouraging the fact that they did not offer any type of compensation for none of these two incidents that cause a lot of discomfort on my stay. Especially the broken toilet on the main floor having to use the secund floor toilet for my six days stay at the place. Bright side the cabin was clean the view was great and the neighborhood perfect for walking my dogs. I would say this is a great place for a summer vacation because the river was tentative and beautiful. We saw some big fish coming up the current.

Peaceful for people; fun exploring for dogs!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Perfect for us (2 adults & 1 large dog). The cabin & property were accurately described; clean & well-maintained, including the outside area. We loved the location. Very quiet & secluded with beautiful, wooded views yet only 20-25 minutes from Blue Ridge and Ellijay. Our active dog loved exploring the large creek for hours. And the sounds of the creek were relaxing even inside the cabin. We loved having access to the hot tub & used it daily! Our favorite activity away from the cabin was riding the rail bikes in Blue Ridge. This is our 1st stay at this cabin but our 2nd times renting with Sliding Rock Cabins. We are grateful that they are so dog friendly. This is definitely our go-to cabin rental place from now on when we visit the area, usually once per year.

March 2023 Stay

cabin was super cute..just what we needed to recharge... The road was no joke getting in to the cabin Lol it was a bit rainy and drainage was an issue in the dog yard... but they loved being able to come and go all around the deck... Beautiful area.. the creek was amazing.. would have loved an easier way to get down to the water..but it was a little chilly anyways... overall a great experience...

Another amazing stay!

Sliding Rock is by far the best rental company we have ever used in any market. If it is in the description I promise it is exactly what you will find amongst arrival. We were only 15 minutes from anything we needed, yet felt like we were a world away! The house was clean and had everything we needed plus some. Our pup was pleased with it also. He could play in the fenced yard or on the porch with no worries. We were able to walk in the creek and explore. It was the perfect vacation and just what we were looking for.

Weekend getaway

First the con’s: we were given a code to secure the key which was fine, however we were not told that the property had 2 lockboxes. Took us 15-20 minutes to access and only because we called and they told us about the other lockbox. Please minimize the amount of lockboxes for future guests or tell them which lock box to use. 2nd con- large amount of water and mud mysteriously appearing near the front door, I even swept the dirt and mud once to have the water appear once again. Now for the pros- cabin was very clean and super hospitable. We brought our small dog and she loved being a mountain dog. Location is amazing and printed directions were great, got us right there.Being on the creek and having the water right there was soothing and super relaxing, loved the front porch. Overall a great experience other than the minor issues stated above.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First, the cabin is in a great location along Fightingtown Creek. The sound of the flowing water was very peaceful and the screened deck overlooking the creek was pleasant to stand on. No complaints about the setting. The home needs to be updated and receive a deep clean. There was noticeable dog hair on the quilt in the downstairs bedroom and some type of oil-based stains on the bedsheets. Dog hair was present on the bedroom nightstand. One of the main reasons we enjoy Sliding Rock Cabins is the fact they allow pets without the exorbitant fees most other cabin rental companies charge, and the other cabin we have rented from them was very clean. This one was not and really needs a comprehensive cleaning. The refrigerator probably will need replacing soon since there was rust on the side of it. The property is close to Blue Ridge and is a 25 minute or so ride to downtown. Whiskey and Water was a restaurant we tried for the first time and was great. Tipping Point Brewery had quality beer we tried before dinner. All in all, if you want a quiet setting against a peaceful creek which isn’t too difficult to reach (while the roads are well-maintained, I would recommend at least a crossover-type vehicle especially on the secondary road that leads to the cabin) that gives you a lot of space along the water and can easily accommodate up to four adults, this is a good spot. It just needs some TLC in the cleaning department.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I'll start with the positive things. Secluded on the water. Gps took us right to it. Plenty of outdoor lighting. Comfortable bed and love the fenced yard. The reasons I won't rent this cabin again are: unbelievably bad furniture. The couch is the worst I've ever sat on! Infact I couldn't. I opted for a rocking chair from the porch.The kitchen is not for cooking. The pans are shot and the oven only has one oven rack. No cookie sheets and utensils are sad. If you don't cook it won't bother you. The cabin is tired as well as the decor. This is my 7th cabin rental, my 5th with SRC.

Nice house but. Getting into water was not easy

House was very nice but it was small the river is not easy to get into and that was one thing that I specified and they say they're driveway you can get in but we used our four wheel drive because the driveway really really needs a lot of work they need to move the boulders out of the driveway and put some rock down and grade it. What I said the house is nice but my main thing is being able to get into the river with me and my dog and we're both not young anymore and you had to climb down to the river and there's also a road right across on the other side of the river and the house sits right on the river which was nice cuz you could hear the water constant but you can also hear all the traffic going and see all the traffic going
