This was the first leg of our Girls Trip in Oregon for a Willamette Valley weekend. Darci's Guest House did not disappoint! It was so charming, and the add-on farm breakfast is a must! We enjoyed the outside patio and watching the cows in the meadow. The location was a few minutes away from a very charming downtown Carlton.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Westerlook Farm. The house is beautiful, as is the property. Thank you for being so responsive to my messages! We will return!
Between the house, the hostess, the setting and the central location to the wine country, this was the perfect choice and experience for our adult family! We loved the serene backyard setting overlooking the farm and spent a lot of time in the Adirondack chairs enjoying the view. The house was immaculate and well appointed. The breakfast basket is a "must do" and you could not find a more gracious hostess. The guest house was close enough to downtown Carlton to walk to restaurants, coffee or ice cream. The bikes at the house were also a plus! We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to come back someday.
North Carolina,Eugene, Lebanon done drinking friends
We came to wine country to reconnect and visit some wineries. We quickly realized our lodging was the main attraction. The inside so beautiful, clean, cozy. The view of the farm and animals outside, or better sitting out back and just enjoying the beauty, it was magical. Darci made it extra special with her amazing homemade farm breakfast baskets, and her hospitality. We are definitely coming back,
The house was perfect for 3 couples and located close to town (walkable). Great food and wineries in town. Easy location to seek out other wineries in the area. Order the breakfast basket. It will not disappoint.
Very nice property and location but not quite perfect
Our group really enjoyed the house - it is quaint and comfortable and close to the town. A few things could have been improved. There was sap covering the outdoor chairs, making them unusable. This we only found out after sitting in them and getting sap on our clothes and arms. One of the guys ruined his shorts as the sap wouldn't come out. Mentioned to the owner but no remedy. Next, the ceiling light in the upstairs bedroom glows all night long (even with light switch turned off); did not make for a good nights sleep. Owner didn't seem to know about it or be able to do anything about it. We ordered the breakfast, which was delicious, but realized we had no oil or cooking spray in the house with which to cook the eggs; they could at least bring a stick of butter or leave a small container of oil in the house for this. Also, salt shaker was nearly empty. Just some little touches that really could have made the stay perfect.
We came for a wine-tasting trip and stayed at Westerlook Farms. What a gorgeous property! The house was clean and peaceful and had a great outdoor space. Darcie was a great host and made the best cinnamon rolls. Order the breakfast basketâyou will not be disappointed. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!
We were in Carlton for our daughterâs wedding and wanted to stay in a special location to help make the weekend wonderful for our family. The minute we arrived at Westerlook Farms we knew we had picked the perfect spot! The home is lovely, with âold houseâ charm and modern amenities. Itâs quite spacious with plenty of room for 3 couples. All the rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, with very comfortable king size beds and bedding in the bedrooms. We loved the fresh cut flowers in all the rooms. The farm setting is lovely and very quiet, though itâs an easy walk or very quick drive into Carlton. We do wish we could have stayed on a weekend that wasnât so busy for us, we would have enjoyed more time on the farm! If youâre there during the warm months, we recommend saving time for a lovely evening spent enjoying some tasty wine and cheese, or dinner, on the patio and lawn overlooking the farm. Also, be sure to order the farm breakfast. Our host, Darci, was great â very helpful giving local advice on the area, and always very quick to respond to questions. Everything about Westerlook was perfect for us, we know youâll love it too!
We visited wine country with 3 couples and the house was perfect! The property is picturesque and tranquil. Short walk into Carlton for coffee or dinner and close proximity to tons of wineries. We enjoyed a farm fresh breakfast and homemade cinnamon rolls one morning delivered by the host. Perfct trip! We will be back.
The house was just lovely and the setting on the farm was beautiful! Communication was easy and quick. We loved ordering the breakfast - the hot cinnamon rolls lived up to the hype! Overall great experience!
Our family of six stayed at the Westerlook Farms Guesthouse and we absolutely loved it. The property is so beautiful. Very close to multiple vineyards. Our host was wonderful and attentive. Definitely one of the best vacation rentals weâve stayed in. Looking forward to coming back!
The home and property were exactly as advertised. Darci was generous with her time and seemed to truly care that we enjoyed our stay. The beds were very comfortable which is always appreciated. We also highly recommend the farm breakfast. If you're going to stay in the Carlton area you won't be disappointed with a stay at Westerlook.
An absolute magical place to stay. Perfectly situated near a plentiful selection of vineyards but just enough away from town that you feel completely removed from the hustle and bustle of life
Three separate king suites with 3 bathrooms - a perfect combination for 3 couples/family/or friends wanting to spend a few days or a week at the most picturesque farm with wonderful and attentive hosts. The guest house has country charm with private surroundings plus being within walking distance to downtown Carlton â also a destination worth visiting. We definitely plan to be back.
Darling place, great location....Can't wait to come back!
We had such a great time at this gorgeous guest house. Close enough to town that we walked every morning for coffee and in the evening for dinners. Our favorite spot to have an evening glass of wine was in the Adirondackâs overlooking the farm. Our host was amazing and responded right away with our questions and needs. The house had all we needed and even wood burning stove and extra blankets for chilly nights. We can't wait to return to this house. We loved it!
We are fortunate enough to call Carlton home! Darci grew up here, and we bought our first home in Carlton 19 years ago! We've owned vacation rentals for the past 17 years. We love meeting new people and creating a home-away-from-home while you visit this beautiful little slice of Oregon!
Westerlook Farm is rich with history. It was built in 1911 and is truly a landmark property in the Willamette Valley. About 16 years ago, the previous owners (who are now dear friends) hired us to remodel the Guest House and eventually do more work on the Main House. We have always loved old homes, and enjoyed remodeling old homes, Matt has been a contractor in Oregon for over 25 years! When the previous owners decided it was time for them to sell and downsize, the journey started of making Westerlook our home. It's quite the amazing story, and we know God orchestrated every detail. We feel so blessed to share this beautiful property with you!
This property is truly magical! From the moment you drive down the tree lined driveway, you begin to breathe deeper and take in the fresh country air. The setting is simply breath taking.....
The Main House and Carriage house were built in 1911. The Guest House was built shortly after, and the green houses and barns each have their piece of history as well! The orchard and grass fields draw you further down the then of course there is the animals. We are slowly adding to our farm, but we currently have chickens (farm fresh eggs of course!), ducks, pigs, Mini Hereford and Jersey cows, Gypsy Cobb horses, the sweetest barn cats, and the happiest Old English Sheepdog. We have big plans for this slice of heaven, but we are doing our best to enjoy each day at a time and live each minute to the fullest!
