À propos de cet hébergement

Le Brooks Lodge est une maison de vacances historique et historique de trois étages située au nord du lac Brooks, à Newaygo, dans le Michigan. Situé à environ une heure au nord de Grand Rapids, Brooks Lodge offre aux vacanciers un environnement spacieux, accueillant et relaxant, disponible à la semaine ou pour des séjours plus courts. Brooks Lodge est l'endroit idéal pour se détendre, se reconnecter et se renouveler.

Pendant votre séjour, profitez de 110 pieds de plage de sable, de quais de pêche et d'une zone de pataugeoire peu profonde. Prenez une chaise longue et dirigez-vous vers l’une des trois grandes terrasses en bois offrant une vue panoramique sur le lac. Ou embarquez sur un pédalo ou en canoë pour une excursion au lac. Profitez de vos soirées autour du feu de camp surplombant le lac et en regardant le coucher du soleil.

À l'intérieur, vous trouverez une maison entièrement meublée datant de plus de 100 ans, dotée d'une cheminée en pierre, de parquet, de cuisines bien approvisionnées, d'escaliers en colimaçon, de salles de bains et de carrelages en céramique, ainsi que d'un vaste espace de vie pour les grands groupes, les familles et les retraites. Peut accueillir environ 20-25 personnes. Pas d'animaux ou de fumer, s'il vous plaît.

Bonding Time

This property is so amazing. Absolutely beautiful place to relax after a hard day of rehearsal, and it is a great opportunity to bond with other corps members outside of our sections. It offers us a chance to get to know each other beyond the playing field.

Family Christmas

Our family used this house for our Christmas gathering and it was great! It’s hard to find a place that sleeps over 20 and also has lots of bedrooms. We appreciated all the dishes and cooking utensils that were on hand. It was one of the best stocked houses for cooking that I’ve stayed in. It was also great that the owners were flexible with allowing a few family members to bring their dogs along. That was greatly appreciated! Thanks for sharing the house, it’s on our list for future stays.

Such a great house and property. Our hosts were very helpful and take great care of everything. We had a blast with a large group of friends for the weekend. This house is gigantic and has plenty of space for relaxing.

Great place!

Overall an amazing experience. We had a very intimate wedding here. The host were very accommodating and gracious. Everyone had enough room. It was a hot weekend and it was definitely at night. Everything else was amazing!

Four day peaceful getaway

This was a lovely, vintage home with so many charming aspects. Plenty of room to spread out people and find little nooks to read and relax. Lots of deck space overlooking the quiet lake. Well-stocked with anything you can think of. Only bummer was I the kayak wasn't ready to use (no paddle situation). Location was great, and I loved the mature trees, fire pit, dock, etc. Lots to do for a big family in the summer, so will definitely be back.

Friends Christmas

We had a total if 17 people in our group. There was plenty if room and no one ever felt crowded. We had a wonderful timeand loved the vuews, even in the winter. We will definitely be back in the future!

Great place to stay for a whole lot of people

The best thing about this property is that it can sleep a whole slew of people. Nine bedrooms over three floors. A huge outdoor picnic table on one of the decks will seat probably 16 or so people easily. There are other eating places too, but none that can accommodate that many people all together. It's a great place for people to stay who don't really like each other. Three floors, each with its own kitchen area mean that nobody actually has to interact with the other people in the house if they don't want to. There's a lot of room to spread out and avoid each other if that's your goal. :) The beach is great for swimming or sunning. A big patio area with a firepit has room for a whole bunch of people to gather together as well. Lots of parking also makes it ideal for a large group gathering.

Outstanding Vacation

Spent a week at Brooks Lodge and it was fabulous! It accommodated our growing family very well. We were greeted immediately upon arrival and given a tour. The lodge was clean, very well stocked with everything you can think of. Owners immediately responded to our questions and had a full tank of propane delivered within a few minutes of our request. We plan on returning in the years to come.

Family Reunion win!

We loved staying at this house, it fit us all comfortably together (20, plus infants) and it had all the cooking supplies, beds, chairs, etc.. we needed for our group! The one sad thing was out of our 4 day stay, we only got 2 days on the lake...on day 2 the Brooks Lake Agriculture sprayed herbicide/anti-bacterial chemicals on the lake...this was unexpected and sad, as it shortened our boating and playing in the water. Not the hosts fault! Just a sad coincidence. Otherwise the hosts were wonderful, the house was great and the property was fun for old and young. (not the nicest furniture, appliances, etc...but great for our group, as there was no fear of 'breaking' something or ruining anything with the little ones around! But clean!) One last recommendation is to bring black out curtains! None of the windows had curtains, just light blinds, and it was VERY bright to sleep in the rooms.

My husband’s goal was to go on a fishing trip with our friends. We could never find a property close enough to home that checked all of the boxes until now!! Great property perfect for our group and for fishing! Property was clean and the perfect place for our group to unwind and celebrate.

Clean, spacious, and responsive

We loved how much space there was at this lovely, clean house. Plenty of fridges, plenty of beds and bathrooms, and plenty of parking. The lake was lovely, even in the middle of February. When we reached out about an issue with the upstairs beds, they were quick to brainstorm a solution, respond, AND to check up on us after to make sure the solution worked for us. They are very receptive to feedback and we felt well taken care of in this property.

Since 2005, we have been sharing this rustic home and beautiful lake setting with hundreds of guests who have gathered here for family reunions, weekend getaways, church groups, and even birthday parties and weddings!

Brooks Lodge is not only a vacation rental, but our personal home that our family retreats to regularly throughout the year. We ask that you please treat it with love and care so that many more can enjoy this beautiful setting for years to come.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We were born and bred in West Michigan but after high school moved to Chicago and then onto various locations around the country. We always wanted a place to "come back home to" in Michigan. Brooks Lake was the natural choice since Ryan's family had owned a cottage on Brooks Lake since the 70s, and I grew up not far from the lake. We had always admired this amazing home and when it came up for sale, we made our move! Since 2005, Brooks Lodge has become our home away from home. We are grateful to be able to not only make our own memories here, but see other families and groups create lasting memories here, as well.
