Cette propriété est vraiment adorable. Les plafonds sont en pin noueux. Il s'agit d'une maison unifamiliale de deux chambres et une salle de bain. Venez profiter de la grande véranda grillagée avec balançoire et bar de petit déjeuner. Une cour clôturée de façon créative, une cour accueillante pour les animaux de compagnie et magnifiquement aménagée. Il est situé dans une rue calme, à distance de marche de la plage d'un côté et de la voie navigable inter-côtière de l'autre. Près des magasins, de la plage, de la pêche, du vélo, de bons restaurants et plus encore! Vous pouvez prendre le ferry et aller à Bald Head Island pour la journée! Vous pouvez également demander des visites à Fort Fisher pour des groupes de 10 personnes ou plus. Southport historique est juste au-dessus du pont et il y a une visite historique que vous ne voudrez pas manquer! Une fois que vous aurez visité Oak Island et Southport, vous reviendrez encore et encore. C'est une expérience de création de mémoire.
Nous acceptons les chiens de moins de 25 livres. et facturer des frais de 75 $ pour animaux de compagnie. Lors de la demande de réservation, nous devons approuver votre animal avant d'accepter votre réservation.

Vacation Getaway

Quaint little older cottage with a fenced in back yard that was great for pets. The cottage itself was lacking some of the amenities that we were generally used to, but was a very comfortable place to stay. Access to local areas was very easy. Overall, a good vacation.

Adorable, clean, and great location.

The house is exactly as described. Clean and open. Loved the outdoor shower, fenced yard for the doggies, screen porch and the proximity to beach. It was so easy to drive and park to the beach without any issues. A great walkable neighborhood and friendly people!

Good location

The property was in a good location. When we were there the contact person had a death in the family. The property could have been cleaned a little better since soap was left in the shower. With all the personal property in the house it looked as if someone was living in it full time. We had no room in freezer and little room in the fridge to put our groceries. There was medication left in the kitchen and bathroom. There was no room to leave or thing in the bathroom because of all the items left there. Clothes were in the closet and drawers. I have still in lots of rental properties and I understand some personal items left this was a lot of things left in every room.

do not rent

when we arrived the refrigerator was worse than nasty and full of food. No room to put our things in. The flatware and dishes were nasty and the bathroom was beyond dirty. Get a refund if you can you do not want to rent this place

Amazing

We had an awesome stay! Debra and Don were super easy to get in touch with and just the nicest people. That house was super clean and well taken care of. We had an awesome trip and you of course can’t beat having the best taco stand ever at the end of the street. We will most definitely be back to stay again!

Wonderful stop for a weekend getaway

Had a 4 day weekend and spent it at this wonderful property! Close to everything and very comfortable. The screen porch was a great place to spend an evening when the remnants of Nestor rolled through town. The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. Great back yard for our pups who enjoyed it immensely.

Beach time with Otis!

The property was perfect. Wonderful screened in porch and pet friendly! Quiet neighborhood that was close to the ocean, restaurants and shops. We loved our stay and would definitely go back!

Our weekend away...

The owner was VERY nice and helpful with anything we needed. The neighborhood is nice and very quiet. I loved the side porch! I spend a lot of time out there reading and relaxing...and the bar was just a few steps away to refill the wine glass. Thank you for sharing your home with us... Anne and EJ

Perfect Weekend Stay

We made the trip down to Oak Island for a quick weekend wedding. This was the perfect house for it. Originally looked for a hotel but when we found this house and pricing was just about the same as it was going to cost for a hotel, it was an easy decision to go with nice beach cottage. Quiet neighborhood, clean house, Delicious Taco stand at the end of the street. I loved just relaxing on the side porch swing.

Perfect home for a weekend getaway!

We really enjoyed this home! We're a family of 4 plus one dog and fit perfectly in it. The location was great with a less than 5min drive to the beach or store. The owner was super responsive and friendly to work with. The house was in great shape. The best part is the screened in deck with the swing. My husband's second favorite part was the knotty pine ceiling. We definitely recommend this house and hope to come back next year.

Great Family Vacation Spot

Perfect for our family of four plus one dog. A short golf cart ride to the beach made the stay even better. Lots of great local eateries and grocery store with in a short golf cart ride as well. House was everything expected from liating and owners very nice and helpful. Also very close to water way at other wnd or the road. Quiet neighborhood made for a peaceful week and a grest vacation.

Enjoyed our stay..

We enjoyed our stay, and found the rental home comfy and essentially as advertised. The VRBO site did advertise house with 2 bathrooms, but there was just one. I believe the owners have since corrected. There was also some confusion as to the pets, as we brought our pet, and the owners stated they were surprised about us bringing him. We stated in our reservation we were bringing our pet and we paid a pet fee. However in the fine print of the reservation it did stated we were also to separately state the weight of our pet (he's ~40 lbs), and owners requested a weight limit of 25 lbs. Owner also awkwardly asked if our dog had fleas, which I immediately said no. I was a little taken aback that he would think we would travel with a flea-infested dog. I believe the owners did change their pet reservation protocol based on my suggestion that they make their pet requirements much more visible, so these awkward encounters don't re-occur. To the owners credit, they did not charge me the additional pet fee which they were within their rights to do. I would also suggest that they stop allowing pets as pets in home, as they seem to prefer pets not to be brought. I thought the home was sufficiently cleaned upon our arrival. Neighborhood was nice and convenient to beach and restaurants. We did have an unfortunate incident with a disoriented woman show up at the house twice asking for a ride. We weren't sure what that was about or where she was from, but always made sure door was locked when we left. We rode our bikes to nearby restaurants for dinner and to a ice cream shop nearby as well. There is a fantastic taco shack right down the street that we grabbed lunch twice - you don't want to miss that. Beach is fantastic, and there is a great splash park right near beach that we used after beach visit to wash and cool off. Overall, Oak Island is a wonderful place for a beach vacation, and we will definitely be back.

Convenient location, needs some TLC

We had a wonderful weekend at the beach with our dogs! We're seasoned travelers and wanted to provide feedback on our stay: PROS: - Ability to bring your dogs to the beach - Backyard with small fence and outdoor shower, main trash also outside (good for doggy waste bags) - Spaceous and convenient location with beach access and public restrooms located at SE 46TH St. & E Beach Dr. - Spectrum TV with good movie selection - WIFI, info on the router CONS: - Fence was short with widely spaced slats, so we could not leave dogs unsupervised - Poor communication via VRBO app and owner did not respond to our questions for access points (we're OKI first timers) - Bedrooms and bathroom we're not clean. We found human hair and debris in the bathroom, shower, and bedrooms. Overall, the location was perfect because we found ample parking at the shore less than 7 min away. However, the place needed to be swept and scrubbed because there was visible dirt and debris.

Great location in Oak Island. Quiet neighborhood

This house is located in a perfect location in Oak Island with a very short drive to the beach with plenty of public access. The exterior of the house and screened in porch are nice with a spacious back yard. On a scale 1 to 10 I would rate the cleanliness a 8 the shower need a little scrubbing. Communication was great with the owner answered all questions asked. Wish we had a schedule for trash day as can was extremely full when arrived on Saturday and trash didn't run until Thursday. Needs a inside trash can. Beds could have been a little better for the money you couldn't beat it. I'm sure as time goes on owner will update and improve but at the same time I understand so he could keep rentals price down.
