We enjoyed our stay in this light filled home with soaring ceilings located on a golf course in Sunriver. The main living areas on the upper level were spacious for our family of four. The reclining couches in the living room were great for chatting or lounging with a book. We enjoyed family games and meals at the large dining table. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, and utensils. There was no baking pans or cookie sheets, but we brought our own specialty items. Bring your own plastic wrap, foil, etc. We had to be careful with the hot water, which was set at a very high in temperature. The TV loft, a half level up from the living room had a large comfortable sectional to hang out on while enjoying movies on the large screen TV. Most of the bedrooms had TVs too. Although there is a gas fireplace in the living room, the switch had been removed, so we couldnât use it. The hot tub on the deck was a great place to relax after hiking and dog sledding at Mt Bachelor nearby. The house is configured with four levels, two levels a half light of stairs from the main rooms, so there are lots of steps to navigate. The bedrooms on the lower level were comfortable, but the temperature was several degrees lower than the main level above. Turning the heat higher helped, and there plenty of extra blankets available too. The master bedroom was very spacious with soaring ceilings in the main room and the bathroom. We saw bikes in the garage, but they are locked up (and not listed for this house). Bike rentals are available nearby. We enjoyed the trails at the resort, along the golf course as well as out and along the river. We enjoyed our stay and would gladly reserve this house again.
This is a great house for families. Our kids loved it and so did we. As another review notes, the primary thing that needs updating is the carpet in the bathrooms - that has got to go - it's old and you don't want a carpeted bathroom. The carpet should also be removed from the bedroom that leads to the hot tub. The other bedroom carpet should be replaced. The kitchen needs a few staples replaced like additional glasses. Otherwise though, it was clean, cute, nice fireplace and movie room, great hot tub (could replace rusted parts very cheaply) and plenty of space. Nice neighborhood.
Overall it was a nice stay, but didn't realize that were was no A/C which wasn't too bad as long as all of the windows were open early morning. The kitchen is limited on cooking utensils, pots/pans and no baking sheets. There are stairs to get to the kitchen which makes it difficult to bring a cooler up to place items in the refrigerator. Wouldn't recommend for children as the stairs are tiled and easy to slip/fall while wearing socks. Only used the master bedroom which the bed was too soft. There is also carpeting in the bathrooms which my family did not like. The Cove was great, but wish the house also came with SHARC passes. I never received an email with the door code prior to check in. I called and was told that an email was sent with a code and was rushed off of the phone. After sitting outside of the house for almost 30 min with 2 toddlers and no email I called again and was able to get in touch with a fantastic gal who verified my info and gave me the code over the phone. The views are ok, house is outdated with electric range (I prefer gas), but can't complain too bad since Sunriver Resort is amazing and we always enjoy our times here.
