Profitez de la communauté familiale d'East Point, près de la ville d'Onancock, en Virginie. N'hésitez pas à utiliser nos deux kayaks, à vos risques et périls, pour découvrir la baie. Notre maison dispose de 3 chambres, 2 salles de bains et une chambre trois saisons avec un canapé-lit simple. Porche avant et porche arrière avec beaucoup de sièges. Grande salle de bar qui a une table pouvant accueillir 6. Il y a aussi une table formelle dans le salon qui peut également accueillir 6 personnes. Cette maison est directement en face de la marina d'East Point, avec de superbes vues sur l'eau et le lever du soleil.

Thanksgiving Stay in East Point

Our family had a great time staying there for Thanksgiving. The house was charming and beautifully decorated in the style of the Eastern Shore. Plenty of space to hang out or spread out! The kids really loved the Turtle Room We would certainly stay here again!

First time to Onancock

Charming, spacious home. Very well stocked and comfortable across road from small marina. We loved walking around the neighborhood and to the private community beach. This is a hidden gem. Peaceful and relaxing. We plan to return.

Wonderful Getaway!

My husband and I loved our stay at the Whimsical Cottage. We enjoyed the eclectic touches in each room. The view from the porch of the marina/water was beautiful. The beach was around the corner, an easy walk or bike ride. Again, beautiful views. The hosts are so friendly, helpful and went out of their way to welcome us. The town is small and cute. We enjoyed walking around. Highly recommend this cottage. We hope to be back (and try their other rental as well). Only minus is the iffy internet at times, but who really needs the internet when you are surrounded by such natural beauty!!

Nicely renovated Eastern Shore Farmhouse

Colette was a great host. She provided us with a wealth of information on the area including eating and drinking establishments and things to do. The house is in the waterfront community of East Point convenient to Onancock. Easy day trips to Cape Charles and Wachepreague. The house overlooks the community marina with great views. There is also a community beach with beautiful sunsets. I would certainly recommend the house for a stay on the ESV.

Beautiful

Onancock is beautiful and very relaxing.. we slept better than we have in a long time. The clean, pure air alone is a relief. The house is a gem. City people needing a break can experience the stars again, and yes clean air, plus quiet but for sounds of the surf. Nice, decent, down to earth people in Accomack County will look you in the eye and say “good morning”. Took me off guard at first. Onancock and Accomack county, I hesitate to even write this review because I don’t want the rest of the world to see it and come and spoil you. But if you want to breathe clean air, listen to nothing but surf, stay in a comfy house, get to know the stars again and be amongst people who look each other in the eye and say “good morning”, this is the place to be

Home away from home

This home is so fun to stay at. Beautiful on inside and out and so much to keep everyone entertained. This is definitely a place to relax and enjoy nature! We had a great time riding bikes in the area, crabbing, playing games that the house provides, relaxing on screened porch watching the boats come in and out, going to the areas private beach to enjoy sunset, and spending time in the quaint town of Onancock. The owner was so kind to send us information on activities going on in town and communicating everything we needed to know and responding quickly to questions. I would highly recommend a stay in this home!! We would definitely come back!!!

Peaceful and charming getaway

A great place for a family vacation to recharge and relax. Private and secluded, yet close enough for an easy 30-45 minute drive to other areas on the eastern shore. We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the front porch watching the birds and listening to the water. The house is beautifully decorated, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Beds are comfy, AC works great, and there is no shortage of items to use in the home. Very positive communication with the owner, quick responses. We are so happy we chose this home for our rental this year and look forward to returning very soon!

Amazing Vacation Getaway

Collette and Larry, thank you both so much for an amazing farmhouse getaway! The beautiful view, quiet neighborhood, amazing backyard, and lovely atmosphere makes me want to come back! Everything was perfect! We will definitely be coming back. This house is everything we wanted and more!!

Beautiful get away with the nicest people

Absolutely loved it! So relaxing and peaceful! What a gorgeous old farm house with all of the essentials to relax and enjoy! They have kayaks and bikes for the outdoors ! Games , cornhole, music, dvds and a beautiful kitchen to cook in! If you feel like cooking up some crab they have a fabulous crab pot you connect to a bbq propane tank so you can cook it outside and have yourself a crab boil! If you don’t want to go far they have a private beach the sand is wonderful I can walk without water shoes just beware the pine cones they are a little spikes very different from NY . Make sure you catch the sunset absolutely breathtaking and you can catch the sunrise by the beautiful dock in front of the house! The owners are wonderful and available for recommendations for restaurants or any other adventures are your list! We loved Bizottis and ate there twice! Maurice’s was very goo I loved the crab/lobster bisque and don’t forget the octopus so good! And if you have a sweet tooth if I could bring a whole cake home I would it’s a crème brûlée cheesecake omg unbelievable! Enjoy and go visit but better hurry they will probably book up fast!

Quiet Getaway

The farmhouse was perfect for our stay on the Shore. Loved the kayaks, friendly and peaceful neighborhood, beautiful sunsets, and the well-appointed and comfortable home. We spent hours enjoying the front porch and nearby bayside beach and appreciated the proximity to Onancock and other destinations on the beautiful Eastern Shore.

Very smooth process, house was so inviting and relaxing, just a 5 minute walk to private beach and across street from marina and kayak launch. A great place to experience the eastern shore!

Wonderful neighborhood and home

This house is in a great spot right across from the marina and about a block from a small private beach. It's a very quiet neighborhood. The house was everything I expected from the listing and the host was very friendly and helpful. I would love to go back. Just a couple notes depending on your travel group and preferences: The house has steps up or down into each room and from the hallways so it could be challenging for older guests or those with mobility issues. Also, guests are asked to wash and dry all towels so it is best to bring your own for a shower the day of check out. We really enjoyed our time there and made use of the dartboard, corn hole and games provided. There are also bikes and kayaks available. Overall, just a very wonderful, peaceful place.

Met our expectations and more!

Thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Whimsical farmhouse. The view was lovely, the neighborhood was quiet and friendly. We found it to be a good location to explore the area. The enclosed front porch and/or the screen porch were our favorite places to relax. The kitchen is well equipped and altho the area restaurants were fine, our best seafood meals were at home.

on the bay

This area of the Eastern shore is lovely...the house sits right across from the marina...great porch for morning coffee or reading...neighbors are very friendly...loads of friendly dogs available (Wilson across the street is a wonderful example) for those of you who left their pooches home and need a fix. We used the kayaks and bikes provided by our hosts. The house is charming and well equipped...we hope to return one day...

We loved the property. Way more room than three of us needed. A well supplied kitchen. Set up well to use your own music and or movies, some are supplied. And we were able to launch kayaks right in front of the house. We paddled three days from this location. Once to an off shore island. Once to the town of Onancock and once to the wildlife preserve straight north of the house. We brought our own kayaks, but the host supplies them if you wish. Hope to Return.

We cooked up a storm of fresh fish and veggies, chatted in the front room overlooking the water, ate mothers day dinner and more in the dining room, played darts and shopped in onancock. Thank you!

I enjoy the ease of walking/biking the neighborhood during the day. It is friendly, and has a campground feel to the neighborhood. Enjoy watching the stars, rocket launches from the house. Once you get in, you want to relax and enjoy the area.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We want your family and friends to enjoy their time together in our home. We know you might spend your time at the beach, but we also encourage you to feel comfortable when you are in our home and community. Let us know if you have any questions during your stay! Enjoy the local watermen as they depart and arrive in the Russell Marina, which is directly across from the house. We also have a small community beach to relax with the family. Our property is easy to take strolls around the neighborhood, enjoy a bike ride, or take the kayaks on the water and enjoy the sunshine. Feel free to bring your fishing poles out on the kayaks to catch some local fish. We have great sunrises and sunsets to enjoy as well.
