Beautiful, well maintained home and property, secluded and tucked away from the hustle and bustle of life! A lovely place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature.
The cabin and accommodations were great. We enjoyed our stay. The only disappointment was that the pier needs to be replaced to facilitate access to the river.
Our stay at the cabin on the river was very enjoyable.
If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle for a little while, this would be the right choice. The accommodations were comfortable and beautiful !
Just spent the last 2 weeks at your wonderful cabin and we all have had a great time. The weather was perfect and our visits to outside towns/events were also amazing. Also, the outside firepit was used almost every night. Thank you again for a wonderful visit!
We stayed here for a quick weekend away to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary and it was just perfect! Clean, quiet cabin in the woods along the Pere Marquette River. Just beautiful! Lots of trails nearby and Baldwin is minutes away. Would stay here again!
Wonderful stay for my wife and I. Everything outdoors we wanted. Hiking, fishing, lighthouses, Lake Michigan, grilling, and local food. Fantastic cabin and fun area.
Had a wonderful couple nights at Matt and Alyssa's cabin. Great view of the river. The cabin is situated far back into the woods, and as quiet as could be. We had a few wild turkey's come through the property the morning we were leaving which was a treat. The check/out process was super simple. We came on a Friday and fished Green Cottage to Bowman's on Saturday. Thank you for hosting us!

Beautiful property - great space inside and out. Provided our family a much needed, safe getaway, accommodations were exactly what we needed. We did a lot of relaxing, took a couple hikes and a canoe trip. Spent an afternoon in close-by Ludington to splash around Lake Michigan. Hosts were fantastic, very responsive. Check in was super easy. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and recommend to others!
We greatly enjoyed our stay. Just what we were looking for. Private, secluded, great view of the PM. The only sounds we heard were birds chirping and the river running. Fantastic.
Great up north place, it was so peaceful and quiet and we enjoyed it. River view is amazing. Had all amenities you can ask for except for TV, if wanting to utilize TV, you will have to bring your streaming stick like Roku/Fire stick. Note deck stairs down to the river get very slick when it rains and don't recommend utilizing them when wet. If your into fishing its great, but for swimming/tubing/kayaking there is no real ground to step on to get on and off of decking.
Overall cabin was clean and nice view of the river. We really wanted to have a campfire but the area that the fire pit is located was completely over grown with weeds. The pit was full of branches and cleanup so even if we were to overlook the weeds, I didnât think it was safe to light a fire not knowing what could be underneath.
We tend to like to be more secluded and the neighbors were hardly there. We were picturing more privacy but it was fine. The cabin and grounds were beautiful. The beds in the loft are a little small but my husband is a big guy. Everything was very clean with everything we could need. The owners answered questions quickly! We had a great time!
Fantastic property located right on the river. The cabin is the perfect blend of rustic/charming but with all amenities you'd need. Spacious yard, great fire-pit, access to the river, and it's close to the boat launch at Gleason's landing. Just a short drive from Greet Cottage access and other launches, as well as M-37 and other parts of town.
Views are great - the cabin is secluded. This is a great place to stay for either a family with 2-3 kids, or a group of 3-4 fisherman looking to enjoy the PM. Hosts were very responsive, helpful, and very easy to work with. One of the best experiences we've had with any rental booking.
We selected Matt & Alyssa's cabin for our annual Winter getaway, and could not have been happier with the accommodations. The cabin's location on a bluff overlooking a bend in the Pere Marquette is absolutely idyllic; particularly gorgeous in the winter. The cabin itself is beautifully constructed, warm and cozy - the perfect balance between traditional charm and modern amenities. The centerpiece of the cabin is the massive woodburning fireplace with an amazing hand-carved mantle. The hosts provided a well-stocked wood shed feet from the cabin. If you visit in the peak of snow season, be prepared for a bit of labor clearing snow from the deck and surrounding grounds (shovels and brooms were provided) and 4WD might be advisable for the two-track drive leading into camp. The adjacent porch room was perfect for donning and doffing snow gear. Matt & Alyssa were great to work with - we carelessly left some property behind and they went out of their way to get it back to us. Fantastic experience all around and we would love to come back again next season.
Myself and 2 other friends stayed while Salmon fishing the PM. Cabin and property-absolutely stunning! Clean and inviting with a river overlook second to none. We will be returning this Spring and next Fall. Owners were prompt to return messages. My only request is that if the owners every decide to sell the property, call me first!! Thanks again! Thomas H
