Such a comfortable and charming cottage! This property is nice and close to RoundTop & Marburger. Every detail has been planned and provided for their guests. Recommend this property as a 12 out of 15!

Can't say enough good things about this lodging! The hosts are a wonderful family and have appointed the cottage with literally everything you may need for your stay. My son and I rented a night's stay (unheard of) to shop during the fall Round Top event. We had a bit of difficulty connecting through VRBO app prior to arrival (no fault of host) because Wi-fi is expectedly sketchy during this time due to online traffic. I say this to suggest getting an alternate phone number of contact prior to Round Top trips as a backup. We did not cook while there, but all appliances, cookware, utensils etc. were at the ready as was stated in the listing. Everything was in working order. The cottage itself is small, but held what we required for our trip. . . a bed (comfortable), and a shower (fun clawfoot tub with shower head). We did not use the quaint loft residing above the single bedroom containing a single mattress, small desk and sink. We loved the enclosed breakfast porch extension to the cottage. Wrap around windows on this porch display 180* views of the cottage's back yard and neighboring acreage, exposing grazing horses, cattle and a herd of deer joyfully browsing and playing in the cooler morning temperatures. This overnight stay, although quick, provided the respite and recharge we needed to tackle another day of marathon antiquing. Thank you, Tipps, for a wonderfully unexpected stay!

Beautiful little cottage

A perfect little respite after long days at the Round Top antique shows. Lorraine and Doug are wonderful people. Very generous and kind. Highly recommend their cottage.

Beautiful setting and quaint cottage

We had a wonderful time. Everything was just perfect for a relaxing day after Round Top's craziness! And where else can you get fresh eggs brought to your door! Loved the adorable cows, sweet horse, and abundant wildflowers!

Charming cottage in the country

I felt right at home in this charming cottage! I loved being close to the animals in the pasture. The cottage has everything you could need, and then more. The hosts were easily reached, and very considerate. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a country getaway!

A great place for total relaxation

From the moment you walk in through the front door you can feel all your stress just starting to melt away. My hubby and I came here so we could attend the Round Top Antique Event and found this sweet little cottage to be in the perfect location, away from crowds and cars. Without any hesitation we will be back and it doesn’t have to entail the antique event, just for some good ol’ fashioned R&R.

Perfect every time

We love the rural environment and cozy cottage Dough and Lori offer. They always have a xtra touches that are rare to find in a short term rental. My husband and I always check with them first when we are coming to the area to try to rent this little cottage.

Round Top at the Cottage

The cottage was a great place to stay while my friend and I visited Round Top's Spring Show. It was a short drive to and from where we needed to be. Lori and Doug were both great! Lori was very communicative. Doug helped us get our bags in and showed us around. We enjoyed the front porch and seeing the chickens and cows every morning. I would recommend the cottage to anyone staying in the area!

Serenity in the Country

This is our second visit at the Rosebud cottage. We love to stay here when we come down for the Round Top Antique Fair. It's so nice to come to this quiet little cottage after a busy day around a lot of people. Thee owners provide so many thoughtful touches from toiletries to bottled water. If you are wanting a trip to pound out some online work and Zoom meetings, this wouldn't be a good choice. The internet has very low service. This is more a place to find peace and quiet. We love it!

Cuteness Overload

My husband and I wanted a place to stay around Round Top that would allow us to get some piece and quiet after a long day of shopping. This little cottage was perfect for that. The Tipps were warm and inviting and checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The porch was perfect for coffee drinking and there is an enclosed porch as well, another vantage point for the most perfect sunrise. We hope to stay again. The cottage is charming all around.

We absolutely loved staying at this property. The owners were always a text away and incredibly friendly. I wouldn’t change a single thing about our stay!
