Thank you for letting me know about the noise. I’m really sorry to hear the construction has been more disruptive than expected during your stay. I did want to be transparent that there was construction nearby prior to your arrival, as I mentioned on my message of February 11, there was construction at the property and I addressed the restrictions to parking. I completely understand that the level of noise may have been more than anticipated, and unfortunately that’s something I don’t have control over. I truly appreciate your patience and feedback, and I’ll also make sure to update my listing description to better reflect the current conditions so future guests are fully aware. Unfortunately, day-to-day things changed with the construction team and we are not always made aware of the daily updates. I have been keeping in touch with the Board of Directors weekly for updates and have been told construction activities have been ceasing by 5 PM and the nights have been very quiet unfortunately during the day they are working and I am thankful for your review.

I am very sorry to hear about that Scott. We were not made aware that our side of the building was being affected by that at this time. We were there ourselves a few weeks prior and did not experience any noise at all our side of the building was the first that they worked on and then they moved to the south side so we did not realize they were going to be working on our end again. I truly apologize for that disturbance I wish I had been made aware while you were there I would have made a call to resource management. Unfortunately we have a little control over the way they decide to do construction I hope that you enjoyed your stay otherwise. Thank you for the feedback.

The condo is thoroughly cleaned between guests by a professional company that follows CDC guidelines. The screen door has been replaced several times due to the wind. Unfortunately, there was a tropical storm that had hit the gulf beaches prior to gueat checking in and we did not have time to replace the screen. The patio doors are glass sliding doors and are subject to salt air since the apt is waterfront. Occasionally they do get sticky, this is a common problem at any beach property, we have sprayed them down, and we leave a can of WD-40 available in case this happens while we are not there. The master bath toilet and guest bath toilet have been repaired and the Master Bath sink has also been repaired. We inspect the condo regularly;however, sometimes things break between guests and we don’t always know unless we are notified about it. We will address any problems that the guests are having but we were never notified of any problems during this guests’s stay. We also leave a new a/c filter available, but we change out filter monthly sometimes sooner depending on the number of renters in a month. The a/c unit is new , only 2 years old. My husband and I are both medical professionals so we understand the the transmission of Legionella( Legionaires). This bacteria is in nature and lives in fresh water, rarely causing illness to healthy individuals. In man-made settings Legionella can grow if the water is not maintained properly. The bacteria is transmitted through droplets that get into the air and people breathe them into their lungs. Generally, it is not spread person to person. We had lengthy discussions with the health dept. regarding this situation and we have been reassured by the Dept of Health that this person could have contracted this anywhere including a dept. store, grocery store, health club, spa etc. The health department did recommend preventive methods that anyone could take to be certain everything was free of this type of bacteria at all times. We followed all recommendations as a safety measure including changing out shower heads and allowing water to run for 5 minutes prior to use and we also had all water sources tested & treated to kill any possible bacteria. We were reassured that this bacteria was not found in any of the water sources inside the condo. My own family stayed there after this guest in July. We have had many happy guests and positive experiences with VRBO.
