Besoin de vacances? Je suis ton Huckleberry! Venez profiter de la sérénité de ce précieux chalet sur Caney Creek, tel que vu sur HGTV !!! Bien entretenu la maison dans la belle Sargent, TX - Le secret le mieux gardé sur la côte du Texas! Cette maison a été récemment rénovée avec une grande cuisine ouverte / salle à manger / salon qui est un endroit idéal pour passer du temps à l'intérieur, mais pourquoi être à l'intérieur alors que le plein air a tant à offrir! Il y a un grand terrain avec des arbres chargés de mousse, une grande terrasse spacieuse donnant sur la crique, le grand patio aménagé en dessous de la maison et la jetée avec un poste de nettoyage couvert. Passez la journée à pêcher sur votre embarcadère privé, à lire un livre dans le paisible hamac ou faites un court trajet en bateau ou en bateau pour vous rendre à l’ICW et à la plage de Sargent, profitez-en vos propres risques - pas de sauveteurs) dans le surf!

Great house and an even better experience!

The house was very clean and was super homie. We enjoyed the fishing dock! All was explained as is. Kandas was also super sweet and very helpful. We will defiantly be booking through them again !

Had good stay. Very quiet and relaxing neighborhood and property under big oak trees. Good location to fish, could be great. Needs adequate lights. Was one green light and appeared use to be more but not any more. Add some better lights and a few more rod holders and would be great.

Had a great time, house is perfect for what we were there for! I would suggest an ac for the living/kitchen area as it gets stuffy in there.

A Beach/Fishing Vacay

The house was clean, quiet neighborhood and a short drive to the beach. We caught a variety of fish/blue crab and had no mosquitoes, despite other’s experience, but we were ready. Overall a good trip and would come back again.

We Absolutely Loved It!

Our family loved this home. Everything was perfect. The mosquitoes were horrible but other than that, we enjoyed everything including the lovely neighbors. Will definitely be booking this one again.

Great little place!

Everything was clean and orderly. The only thing that would have made it better was that the crab traps were broken and I had planned on having a crab boil. Other than that, it was a great little place to stay and relax!

Fishing on Caney

It is a quiet, restful and has almost everthing you need. My husband and daughter enjoyed fishing off of the covered pier and I enjoyed reading under the large tree in the swing. while the dogs enjoyed the fenced in yard.

Fishing trip

House was nice and clean. Creek was fun to fish and we caught a few baby black drums and reds back there. But mostly caught bait and a couple of crabs. A lot of gar moving at night. But dead caney lake wasn’t 2 far and we caught a nice size drum out there. There was equipment to fish and crab but we brought our own. Would book again

Weekend Getaway

Our stay was awesome. It was a very clean, very peaceful, serene, and great for family bonding. When we first arrived, one of the window units was not cooling and the living room was not getting cool enough for us. After contacting the rental company, they quickly got a portable A/C out to us and that remedied the problem. Very quick response. Loved that! I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to friends and family.

Nice clean and quiet in a great neighborhood

We found this home to be very nice for two people. The living room area would be small for 4 or more people. The area is very nice and a short drive to the beach. We were hoping the fishing would have been better than it was. We had very few bites and only caught a couple of hard heads. My wife loves to catch blue crabs and one reason we reserved this place were previous reviews about the good crabbing here. In four days she caught one crab and was very disappointed. I feel its too far removed from the coast to attract any good fish or crabs. Other than that if you want peace and quiet this place would serve you very well.

Quiet getaway

We wanted a week of beaches, fishing and relaxation, and this place was perfect. I am an amateur birder, too, and there were so many species, including Great Horned owls who visited the tree off the deck many times. We caught a speckled trout and a redfish right off the dock, though they were a bit undersized. I loved having the fish cleaning station on the dock as we had sand trout and some black drum that we caught in the surf to prepare for cooking. The house was clean, and the washer and dryer were used every day. Just note that if any kitchen supplies are not in the listing then they are not there! Other VRBO places I've stayed in had more in the way of kitchen staples, but this one did have more cookware, including a giant roasting pan and a gumbo pot that my mom would have loved. I would stay here again.

Both good & bad

Property in excellent condition & everything provided as listed except TV. Due to no weather reports, we did not know about approaching storms. The creek rose so fast, we had to wade in thigh high water to save our boat. The bimini top on our boat was damaged to it hitting the roof on the dock due to water rising. The rising water also pulled our battery charger off the dock & into the creek. We left it as it was destroyed. To suggestions: One, subscribe to DishNetwork or some other satellite service. Two, put an A/C unit in the kitchen. We were sweating at the breakfast table. Everything else was in perfect condition.

Hey Bob! We do apologize for the inconvenience of the TV not working with the storms. We tried to resolve this issue and drove 2 hours to bring down a wifi card to provide signal. However, because of the storms that signal too was weak. We didn't expect the flooding or the quick rise of the creek either. We have installed additional antennas since then and hope this will resolve any issues in the future. We have also brought an additional ac unit to be used in the main area if the other units aren't providing enough circulation for guest. We would have been more than happy to try this while you were here if we had known. We appreciate your feedback and do our best to make sure our guest are comfortable and have a great time! We hope you come back to visit and enjoy the beauty of the home and Sargent without the natural disaster!

Wonderful Wknd Getaway

We had a wonderful time having a quick little get away as a family. The house was very inviting and we felt at home. Weather was too rough for us to take our boat out but we still had plenty of luck fishing off the pier and catching crabs. Can’t wait to go back.
