This is a beautiful property and excellent for a large group. We were very comfortable with plenty of batbrooms and beds. There is a tv in every room and a lot of space for lounging and enjoying each others company and not feeling Our host was very accomodating. We loved every minute of our stay!
Our group of 11 had a wonderful stay! Stunning house and location. Nice and close to trails and entertainment, but we spent most time in the house. HUGE and perfect for a large group. Liesl and Mike were wonderful hosts! Canât wait to go back.
Absolutely beautiful house with amazing views of the Presidential Mountains
We were absolutely amazed at the beauty of the house. The owners have done an amazing job of maintaining a beautiful 100+ year old home. The dining room wood work is absolutely stunning! The rooms were spacious and very well decorated.
We spent most days gathered on the front porch with our 97 year old mother and evenings around the cozy pellet stove in one of the sitting rooms with our large extended family. We had 12 people over the weekend and still had plenty of beds and space to add more if needed.
There are also hiking trails out back which we enjoyed.
The owner was extremely accommodating to some special requests we made and went out of her way to make sure we were safe and comfortable.
We would highly recommend this for an adult family or group of couples who want to get away and enjoy the beauty of northern New Hampshire.

The owners were very nice. It felt a little strange having the owners connected right next to you in their own wing in the house. However, Mike was especially helpful when the TV's were not working. Liesl left homemade cookies for us, and Mike brought by a chocolate filled delicacy from a local bakery. The house was a little cold when we arrived, but it did warm up as we were there. A couple of things would have been helpful. I would suggest a washer and dryer might be added, and a few more lights. Being on vacation, I would not want to have to sit at a laundromat.; however, we made do without going to the laundromat. Sometimes it was hard to see with only the lamps in the room. Overall, we had a fantastic time. Our grandchildren loved the snow and sledding down the hill. We felt the people of New Hampshire were very friendly and awesome.

Big group of usâŠages 2 months to 70 years old. Plenty of room, we have such a great time. The home has a homey and warm farm feel. Lots of bedrooms and plenty of common area. We have been 3 years in a row and will definitely stay again! Near Santaâs Village.
A wonderful property and host. Made some great lifetime memories with family. Would highly recommend staying here- tons of space for large groups to gather and plenty of rooms to hide away when needed as well!
Beautiful place, although there seemed to be a lot of directions which made the stay a bit more stressful. Also, the additional per person fees (including the 4 month old) beyond 6 people (even though it sleeps 21 and we had 9 people including two under 2 yrs.) made it not a great value.
Liesl was an excellent host and the house worked really well for a family gathering. The house is well furnished, rooms are lovely and beds are comfortable. We especially liked the sun porch facing the mountains. Lots of great eating space for groups. As a vintage house, it's shy on counter space in the kitchen, which could be challenging for people who really like to cook. If you want to bring a large group together in the White Mountains, definitely consider this house.
We had an absolute beautiful stay at this historic , cozy home! Guests must see the view and property to truly appreciate it! We cannot wait to return when we are able to spend more time. A family member also stated it is a beautiful spot for an outdoor wedding or celebration! We totally concur. The hone offers great space for privacy but also allows families to come together for meals and family time. We are checking our schedules now to see when we can all book this beautiful hone again!! Thank you liesl and mike!!
The location of property is beautiful. The house is huge and has tons of rooms. I loved that a large group could have enough beds. Being an historic home, it did have some growing pains. But overall, we had a great time.
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Jefferson North Property. It was clean and spacious yet cozy. The property owner was very responsive. Plenty of room to stay for a multiple people with a US History character charm.
We had a good time and will recommend this property.
Our son had wedding at Bellevue Barb, and my family and friends stayed at property and loved it! The place was Immaculate, and Liesl and Mike were great hosts!
The views from front porch were breathtaking, and the location was perfect the wedding venue was less than a mile away!
We all loved the pellet stove and the eat in kitchen!
Thank you Liesl and Mike for making my sons wedding extra special! We will most definitely return!
A friend of ours got married a mile down the road so instead of getting a bunch of hotel rooms we found this place to be perfect! Humongous, beautiful, and Liesel made us feel right at home. We loved it and canât wait to come back! Thank you!
Beautiful views of Fall Foliage. Home was very clean. Plenty of rooms for all the guests. Property owners are on site and were very attentive to our needs. They went above and beyond to make our visit totally enjoyable and stress free. Would definitely rent this home again!
My family spent the weekend of Aug 14th-16th at Jefferson North the house was huge and beautiful and the view was breathtaking. Liesl the home owner was such a delight anything we had questions on she was always responding to our requests quickly and she stays on property we only saw her when we arrived and left. We enjoyed the grilling on deck. Just a great family trip and we are already planning to go back next summer. Thank you so much Liesl
This property has so much to offer, the posting does not do it justice. My friends and I rented the property for a week in early August for a working vacation. The house is large and beautiful with plenty of room to spread out and work. The rooms are clean. The house itseof has tons of charchter and interesting layouts, especially in the plentiful bedrooms. While parts of the house are old, everything is very well kept up and maintained. The kitchen is well stocked and the grill in the back patio served our group well, as did the large fire pit just up the hill in the back of the property. The extra long farmers table in the dining room was also perfect for family dinners after days of endless fun. There is a great golf course just down the road, and most local attractions are a short drive away.
Liesl responded to any questions or concerns within minutes, and even brought us a new kettle when we asked if there was one available. Also there is a cat on the property who roams the property scaring off any intruders. She was freindly and a joy to have around.
A couple small gripes: some of our group of 8 adults had to work during the day, and the wifi wasn't very reliable at certain times of day or in certain areas of the house. It needs to be stronger to be useful for the modern traveller witba career.
Also, the wraparound porch was mostly under construction so we were not able to enjoy the vistas in front of the house other than from the porch swing just in front of the main entrance. We hope this gets fixed before we return next time.
Overall we had an awesome experience and look forward to continued improvements and to return again!
Liesl and Michael could not have been more gracious hosts. They have a wonderful home that is perfectly located for skiing at Cannon or Bretton Woods. The house itself is full of New England charm. Absolutely stunning details and plenty of room for a large family to relax after a long day of skiing.
Jefferson North was originally a farm called "The Iron Dog" started in the early 1800's. The owners Mr. and Mrs. Nathan R. Perkins were the first to build a home on Mt. Washington. There is a lot of history in this old house, including the ovens still located in the basement which baked many loaves of bread for the visitors of the Waumbek Golf Course and Resort, the oldest in the state of New Hampshire.
