Charming house constructed in 1911 with superb interior design elements. Downtown is a breeze to access (2 turns and 4 minutes by car). Property is in an older neighborhood. Hosts have created a hospitable environment and are responsive to questions. Keyless entry makes check in easy. Upgrades on kitchen are especially commendable.
The house was great for our needs. It's an old classic house that has been nicely updated with modern touches. The large dining room can accommodate a group of 6-7 with no trouble.
We enjoyed our 5 night stay. The home is roomy and the kitchen well stocked. Communication with the host was excellent-they were very responsive.
Would stay here again.
This is the second time weâve stayed in this house because itâs very close to campus. It has lots of storage, hooks, kitchen necessities, and chairs for a family of five. The beds are so comfy. It has all the charm of an older house and I will definitely book it again the next time we cheer on our girl.
Communication was great. The pictures of the property are much better than the actual home. Lots of updates have been done to this old charmer but there certainly was a lot of wear and tear to the place. The beds were wonderful! So comfortable. Plus, the location couldnât have been better! Thanks for the stay and the excellent communication.
We spent 3 nights in Kalamazoo and this house was perfect for us. We stayed with our 5 children and we were all very comfortable. The house has the charm of an older home with the upgrades of a modern one. The communication was great from the start. We will definitely stay here again when we visit. Thanks for a great stay!
Our daughter is a student at WMU. We wanted to stay in Kalamazoo and spend some time with her during a long weekend we had over Presidents Day. This home was a great fit for us! It was very clean and well-appointed. The living area on the main floor was perfect for relaxing in the morning and watching tv in the evening, and the dining area was perfect for playing a few board games. The neighborhood felt safe, and it is very easy to get to downtown and a very quick drive to campus. The beds were very comfortable, and the blackout curtains in the bedrooms made it so that if sleeping in is your goal, that would not be a problem! It is an older home and the steps up to the front porch were a bit steep - my wife has a bad knee and commented on that. Other than that, though, this was a wonderful property for our purposes and would definitely stay there again!
We liked the charm of this home. It did look like there are things that are in need of repair in the kitchen area. The sink in the upstairs bathroom had a slow drain and the one downstairs was slow as well. Overall though it was clean and we enjoyed our stay.
It was disappointing to arrive at the property to find deep ruts in the drive way and I almost fell on a tree root when navigating to the path. I placed a rock there so we'd know where it was and we removed another small branch ticking up from the dirt. Yes, the drive was dirt and a mess on Sunday morning in the rain, while navigating the ruts. The steps up to the front porch were steep, no warning was given in the description and we one of us has knee problems. The house overall was clean, with plenty of linens. The nest heat control none of us knew how to work and we found no instructions. Overall the accommodations were okay but we thought if we had known of the conditions of the driveway and steps we would have looked elsewhere, there are a definite hazzard.
We had a fundraiser for my daughterâs sorority this weekend and stayed at this lovely property.
We loved the home. The beds were so comfy!!
We had lots of room for 5 people.
The host answered my questions so quickly.
We would stay here again!
