Great Beach Bungalow

The house is ranch style, nice back yard, fully stocked kitchen, plenty of beach items (wagon, chairs, body boards, sand toys, etc.), comfortable beds (particularly the master). The location is outstanding! We stayed for 2 weeks and it was a great location to make day trips to Savannah, Hilton Head, Beaufort (Loved), and Charleston. If we are back in the region, we will certainly stay here. Thank you!

All was as expected

We had a fun stay on Tybee Island. The house was clean and as expected. Location is great. Some small things need to be replaced like door mats, and the patio could use a good spray down, but that is to be expected in the summer. Overall, it was a great time for our family.

Great family weekend

Absolutely lovely weekend! Despite a rainy Memorial Day weekend the hosts were so kind and hospitable. We loved the property! Perfect layout for a family with little ones. All the details were incredible- the crib, the toys, the kid friendly plates/cutlery made this such a great stay. We’d love to visit again!

Highly accessible

We loved this property! The proximity to several beach access points and the absence of stairs made us feel very close to the beach the whole time. It was very easy to get in and out so we were very comfortable exploring the island. The house is very clean and very well-maintained. We look forward to returning in the future. Amy was very friendly and appropriately engaged, she helped us feel very welcome on the island.

Cute house

We had a great stay. It was clean, lots of extras and super cute. Great location, kitchen had it all and host was great! The only drawback was the 3rd bedroom. I wish we may have known the 3rd room was basically in the other room. No privacy. We had 6 adults but needed to use the couch for enough space for us all. Would rent there again, but maybe just 4 adults not 6.

Great Experience!

We had a really positive experience! There were 2 families, 5 people total. We had plenty of room and privacy. The house was super clean (we are picky), cozy, comfortable (the beds were amazing), and beautifully decorated. Kitchen was well equipped. The house had beach paraphernalia on hand. We had purchased a wagon to transport our chairs and umbrella to the beach, but the house already had a wagon and umbrella. The neighborhood is quiet and adjacent homes are well cared for. There are 2 beach accesses approximately 1/2 block away. Very short walk. We were extremely satisfied with this house and had zero complaints. We had great communication with the owner. Just a great experience!

We had a lovely stay on Tybee Island at the James Louis house. It’s an easy walk to the beach, the house is well decorated in comfortable beach style and it had everything we needed.

EXCELLENT property for family with littles!!

This was one of the most comfortable and pleasant family vacations I’ve ever experienced. This was our first trip to the beach as a family of four (3.5 and 15 month old). From the beginning to the end of the trip, Amy was the most accommodating host! She went out of her way and provided us with a stroller and a high chair, and her cottage was already stocked with Children’s toys, a crib, and sound machine (which we didn’t realize until we got there that it was the same sound machine and mattress that we have at home 😊). This was SO nice not having to pack the car full with all of those extra bulky accessories. It was also stocked with sooo many other thoughtful, detailed extras that just made the visit feel effortless, and it made us feel totally at home!! ❤️Proximity to the beach/island businesses was fantastic. The beach wagons and toys that were provided along with the outdoor shower on the property were super convenient. We most definitely hope and plan to return to this exact cottage again one day upon our next visit to Tybee!

Lovely vintage beach bungalow

This gem is perfect for relaxing in this beautifully decorated and comfortable bungalow that is so convenient to the beach. The decor is right out of Coastal Living that immediately sets the tone for beach and relaxation. Everything that you need is there, the beds are super comfortable and very quiet neighborhood. So glad we has this getaway to this beautiful vintage beach bungalow!

Extremely pleased with our stay!

We had a short weekend anniversary trip and felt so lucky to have picked this cottage. It was clean and cozy, had a nicely stocked kitchen, great enclosed backyard area, and the location was unbeatable. We got there after sunset, but could hear the ocean the second we stepped out of the car. It’s hardly a walk to the beach and in very close proximity to some of the shops and restaurants. The pier was relatively close by, which was lovely to walk to in the evenings. We loved having dinner and walking to the pier with a drink before heading for a walk home along the sand. Amy was very attentive and helpful as well, providing thorough instructions for check-in and check-out and even restaurant and activity recommendations. We can’t wait to visit again in the future!

Great beach cottage

Highly recommend! Cottage was gorgeous! Close proximity to the beach, restaurants, and most importantly An ice cream shop ! Great set up for families. Only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Book it!

Cozy Cottage

Comfortable, well equipped cottage in a great location just a short walk to the beach. Amy was very accommodating allowing an early check in when we found ourselves in the area earlier than expected. Rugs & upholstery could have stood a good cleaning, but overall it’s a sweet little property with lots of charm.

Great little getaway!

This was a beautiful small cottage and perfect for a quiet getaway. My favorite part was that the wind and waves from the beach actually woke me up peacefully in the mornings! It was that close! Beautiful!

What a relaxing Vacation!

Our family had a perfect vacation at Tybee Island, and this property was everything we wanted and needed. This historic bungalow is tastefully decorated, with an open floor plan with kitchen and living room. The bedrooms and beds are so comfortable, I am not sure I have slept that good in years. There is ample space outside to play games, or just sit under the pergola and enjoy a good book and cup of coffee. The location is perfect, on a quiet street, steps to the beach and a short walk to the shops and restaurants. Amy is a great host, responsive and made our trip even better (Thanks for putting out the cornhole, we had several intense games). We were looking for a relaxing getaway from stress and the cold up here in Maine and this was everything and more.

Best little bungalow on Tybee

Great experience - host was excellent in every way. Bungalow has the best spot on all of Tybee Island! Easy access to the beach with great views of both the sunrise and sunset. Had small children with us and aside from the crib, toys, and other child friendly amenities, the gate yard gave us plenty of space to keep them entertained. Hope to be back again, thanks Amy!
