House was big, nice, in great shape and clean. Georgetown doesnât have much going on, but there are numerous nice small towns to visit within 15-30 minute drive. A little farther gets you to Portland and Freeport. Acadia is a 3 hour drive, but worth it. House itself is secluded in the woods, nice hot tub.
We loved this home! It was nestled in the trees and was quiet and peaceful. It was large enough for 2 families to enjoy. The outdoor hot tub was an added bonus and we loved making s'mores around the fire. The additional living room was great for the kids and it meant they could watch a movie while we hung out in the 'other' living room. The owners are great - responded quickly to all my texts and even bought us some beach towels when I inquired if the home had any. I highly recommend this home. The kitchen is well equipped and it was great having a gas grill.
We spent two weeks at the house and we couldnât have been happier. We really didnât have any problems. But, if an issue came up, the ownerâs response was quick. We would recommend.
This home was warm, comfortable and very well equipped inside and outside. The host responded quickly to all of our questions. The lodge setting reminded us of home in NC. We would love to come back and stay again.
We loved this place. It was a cozy place to recharge as we explored Bath, Georgetown Island, Reid State Park, and Booth Bay. Owner was terrific and very hospitable. The house was clean, comfortable, and charming.
My family of four had a wonderful time staying in this home for a week. We used it as home base for day trips around the area and enjoyed the grill, hot tub and firepit in a peaceful wooded setting in the evenings. We also enjoyed the comfy family room when we stayed in and watched movies on a rainy day. Our favorite things were Mile Beach at Reid State Park and lobster rolls and fried clams at Five Islands Lobster Co. Thanks for a great stay!
Beautiful house in the woods in Maine. Quiet spot to relax in the evenings after exploring the islands and coast during the days. Hosts were very friendly and responsive - overall a great experience.
If you're trying to get away from it all and still have the amenities of home, Laurie has the house for you. Laurie was very responsive and a delight to converse with. Loved our stay.
Our family enjoyed so much at this beautiful house. It was clean and very comfortable.
We love the location which was very quiet and were able to travel from there to all places we wanted to visit while in Maine.
We definitely recommend this place and will be happy to come back if taking vacation again in the area.
Thank you
Location was ideal for some quiet time but close enough to get to activities, restaurants and more. Very kid friendly house which mine appreciated. Had no issues or complaints!
Beautiful, quiet retreat, with lots to do in the area!
My wife, myself, my adult daughter and 3 year old granddaughter spent the week. It was perfect. Fun beach days, river cruise, museum tour, Freeport visit, shopping and just relaxing. The house is as beautiful as the pictures. Very clean and well furnished. The deck and fire pit are great for relaxing. The host is wonderful to communicate with and very accommodating.
We had an amazing stay on Georgetown Island. The pictures of the house do not do it justice. Perfect for hiking, making smores and relaxing in the hot tub. Laurie was so incredibly kind and helpful. She went above and beyond when we left something behind to help get it back to us. Absolutely fantastic surprise toys that my son greatly enjoyed playing with.
We loved your home. The secluded location made for a nice vacation. The host communicated well.
Outdoor fireplace was stacked with wood and ready for use. The friendly robin visited everyday.
Laurie's home was spotlessly clean and all amenities were as advertised. Our family of four had a lovely visit - some days we stayed close by, visiting Bath, Reid State Park, and Five Islands Lobster Co. - and some days we went further, driving to Freeport, Boothbay Harbor, Damariscotta, and hiking La Verna. Laurie was super responsive to questions and a friendly host. Would definitely stay again!
I am a mom of 3 boys, as well as a second grade teacher right here in Georgetown. I am lucky enough to enjoy summers off with my children. During your stay, I will be available if you need me, but unless I hear from you, you will not hear from me. I want you to feel comfortable and enjoy your time off without any interruptions.
If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, you will not be disappointed. This property is close enough to enjoy activities in the area, yet quiet and secluded enough to escape a busy lifestyle.
