We enjoyed our stay. The long Island in the kitchen gave us a lot of room for food and eating. The porch was nice and the access to the water was a short walk. We were able to dock our boat for easy and convenient use.
Very comfortable lake house. Everything you need is there and there is room for everyone. Large open kitchen/family room. Megan is a great host and very responsive. Highly recommend.
Quaint little cabin in the woods! Had all the things available to entertain my family and our friends that came by to hangout for a little while! Will definitely stay again!
Only thing it needs is lights on the dock, but other then that it was great, this was my first time ever doing this kind of thing and the host was so understanding and helpful highly recommend.
The cabin was clean and had everything needed to help make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. Great views from the deck over the lake towards the highway bridge and what we refer to as the Brownwood Castle. Also is very conveniently located to visit parents in Brownwood and ranch in May. Would stay there again. If you are looking to stay in a posh neighborhood, then this is probably not your place.
As I said in the title, another great stay, except for one furry uninvited guest. He left mouse droppings on the counter by the microwave. Other than that no complaints
My Brother and his family came home from New Jersey and this place was perfect for us to hang out and visit. The small ones loved the games, toys, and books that were provided. The adults loved the outdoor space along with the roominess inside as well. I wish we could go back in July. Future plans to return.
Very nice house. Loved the double bunk beds for the kids. Layout of the house is perfect. Nice fenced deck children could play on. Boat dock to fish and swim from. For sure will return next summer
I was on the lake a few days for a job. The cabin was perfect. We cooked both in the kitchen and outside on the grill. Beds were comfy. The space will accommodate two couples and a bunch of children easily. Our stay was much more pleasant and relaxing than having to go all the back into brownwood for a hotel. We stayed an extra day to relax even though the job was done.
We loved our time at the cabin, enjoyed the views and the quiet seclusion.
A couple of things to note:
1) If you are staying here as part of a longer road trip, be aware that it doesn't have laundry :)
2) While pets are not allowed, there seems to be a cat named Abby (saw a collar for it?) that hangs around the place. We suspect the cat is inside the cabin at least some of the time because my wife is allergic to cats.
None of those things took away from what was otherwise an amazing weekend. We strongly recommend staying here.
We brought the rain with us from Houston to fill the lake! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. The cabin was perfect and we made s'mores in the chimera on the awesome deck. Thank you!
We came up for family weekend at HPU and really annoyed being away from town. It would have been a little nicer if the drought hadnât dropped the lake level so much, but we enjoyed hanging out on the porch and playing games all night. A true fish camp design that brought back memories. I hope to stay again when the lake returns.
This is a cute family house to get away from the city life. It has all the home essentials that are needed. It is truly a home away from home. Its a 2 bedroom home with two halls with each containing a set of built-in bunk beds. Our kids loved it. I would definitely stay here again when I'm back in the area. Our host was very helpful and quick to respond to any concerns.
The brownwood lake cabin was even better than expected. The location was terrific. The property manager was easy to communicate with throughout the stay. I would definitely stay there again.
