Alessandro helped make our trip better every step of the way. He helped us navigate from the airport, greeted us at the ferry, and walked us back to the B&B which is conveniently located near the market and Rialto Bridge. He helped us choose an itinerary that kept us away from the crowds, but enabled us to see everything we dreamed of in our 2 wonderful days in Venice and islands. The bedroom and breakfast basket with coffee was perfect. Clean, comfy and everything we needed. Great shower/jet tub. King size bed. Pictures are accurate. The view from San Georgio Church across the bay was amazing. (Another thing we wouldnât have seen were it not for Alessandro) Thank you Alessandro!!
Overall fantastic. Great location, welcoming host, nice and well-maintained room, good check-in and departure. Host Alessandro and this accomodation helped make our stay in Venice a wonderful experience.
Awesome experience! The host was extremely helpful in every way. He would text promptly to answer any questions and even helped with transportation needs. I highly recommend this VRBO!
We were very impressed with these accommodations. it was close to the train station and all of the attractions and some great restaurants. If we could have changed one thing it would have been the pillows - they were have to hard and synthetic. But, overall a great stay.
We loved our stay Ca 'Barba B & B! Being our first time in Venice we didn't know what area to stay in but this was a gem! Great location close to everything but off the main streets in a quiet area. Alessandro was very responsive from the time of booking through our entire stay, checking in with us and giving us recommendations to try. Would definitely recommend this place!
Everything was nice. Easy location to see sightseeing. Restaurants all around.
We had a very nice time and very nice memories of Venice. Loved the little change of fruit and bread or muffins. Had problems with the coffee maker.Had to hold onto the buttons to have a cup of coffee. Host and hostess was very nice.
Allesandro and his team were wonderful - good communicators and gracious hosts! The only reason I cannot give this a full five stars is because the listing is slightly (and I'm sure unintentionally) misleading. The listing reads as though there are multiple rooms in the rental; however, all the bedrooms are separate rentals, and the kitchen is a common area. We were given the bedroom with the jaccuzzi tub - which we enjoyed. The room, though, was small and tight. The armoire only had two drawers and the bathroom had essentially no counter space. There was a cold breakfast every morning, and a special breakfast pastry treat on our checkout. Again, Allesandro and team were wonderful and the location was great. We, however, would not have rented the space had we known we were only renting a bedroom.
We found this to be a perfect home base for walking around Venice. The beds are comfortable and shower clean. Kitchen was well maintained . A nice supply of cold breakfast items were already in our room and juice and yogurt in the fridge. Bed made every morning. I think younger people will especially like it here. I felt old with the staircase. I missed having a washer.Venice is such a labyrinth we needed to call Isabelle to help us get home and she was very available.
Two nights was not enough in this comfortable little place. It had everything we needed, including yummy goodies!Everything we wanted to do was just a short walk away - including the Rialto Bridge and fish market (really cool to see). Donât miss fluffy brunch nearby! We will definitely be back!!
The location to the sites was stellar. Easy to get everywhere from here. The room was an oasis to return to after a long day of sightseeing. Easy to work with the owners and loved the additional educational materials offered.
We loved our stay at the B & B. The host was amazing. But you must know that when you book this space you are only booking one room at a time.I did not understand that.Luckily, the host had an additional room available that I could rent. All in all, I would highly recommend.
Alessandro our host, was great, all questions immediately answered. Unfortunately his children were sick so he was unable to meet us. Transfer to Venice it is straight forward but I was worried about it. Alessandro gave plenty of options. The easiest was the water bus on the orange line. His staff met us but there was a mis understanding. She said Rialto bridge so we thought she'd meet us where the waterbus dropped us off. Got a text to ask where I was, sent her a photo and was told I was in the wrong side. We had no idea where we were so that set the tone wrong for me as had been travelling for nearly 12 hours at this point. I had a large suitcase. It took around 10 minutes walk. We later realised there was a more straight forward walk than all the adventures she took us on. Rialto bridge is large with lots of steps so not ideal re suitcase. B&B in Nice little courtyard and clean but steep stairs so not for the infirm. Good location to everything. GreatGAlcleaThereshigher
This little place near the Rialto Bridge met our needs perfectly. There was a generous cold breakfast and a coffee maker, as well as a shared kitchen with yogurt and some delicious juice available. The bed and room were clean and comfortable, one of our hosts met us at the vaporetto stop and escorted us to the room, explaining how everything worked. Our only issue was the wifi wasnât working when we were there.Otherwise, it was perfect.
Our stay in Venice was wonderful. Alessandro was very proactive with communication and responded quickly to all questions. The B&B was wonderful and located within walking distance of many great attractions.
B&B CaâBarba was a perfect choice for us.
Great location, easy to get around on foot and water taxis are everywhere.
Alessandro was above and beyond helpful. Every one of his suggestions worked out perfectly. We never would have received that detailed information staying anywhere else.
10 Stars to Alessandro đđ
This is a nice B&B room. Easy walk from the canal at Hotel Orologio. We met our host at the dock and he helped with our bags to the room. Breakfast is a little basket if muffins, fruit and cookies in your room. Make your own coffee.
Nothing fancy, but nic and clean and the location was good.
We used the concierge at Hotel Orologio to get us a taxi to the train station when we left.
My husband and I stayed at Alessandroâs BnB for three days before a cruise. The communication before and during our stay was excellent and incredibly helpful. We were met at the water taxi dock when we arrived from the airport and taken to the BnB, which was right around the corner. We were given a tour and tips and tricks of the property. It was lovely. As with most European properties, no elevator. Lots of snacks and a water dispenser available in the kitchen and a lovely daily basket of pastries and fruits left in our room. Alessandro was immediately available via WhatsApp when we had questions or wanted a recommendation. If youâre coming from the US and youâre used to very cold A/C, you wonât get that here. Not a big deal for us, we just kept the windows open and it was more than pleasant. I would absolutely stay here again if I were in Venice!
We had a wonderful stay! Alessandro was so helpful & gave us restaurant recommendations & provided us with books & maps!
The room was clean & spacious! The breakfast brought to our room every day included fresh fruit, nuts, & breads with Nutella & jams.
We definitely would stay here again!
