This is a very comfortable place and Charming in its design in an impeccable location. It gives great access to the San Juan Mountain area for almost any outdoor sport you could imagine and is less than 20 minutes from Wolf Creek Ski Resort
Great place for a quiet getaway. Spectacular views of the Colorado Mountainside. River was awesome. Late night neighbors with their motorcycles were quite annoying.
My family had the best time at your cabin. The location was great for access to skiing or dinner in South Fork. The hot tub was used daily to soothe sore muscles and the beds were very comfortable. Thanks for the accommodations and we definitely hope your cabin is available the next time we come to ski.
Our family stayed here during Christmas and snowboarded at Wolf Creek. It is perfectly located between South Fork and Wolf Creek. We also were close to areas to sled with our little kids at Beaver Creek Reservoir. The house comfortably slept 8 people without having to have someone sleep in the living room area. Enjoyed our stay.
Our stay was good. A few things outdated but nothing that should be an immediate fix. Thought the downstairs beds were alittle uncomfortable. And the tile around the fireplace was all busted up. Few of the outlets in the kitchen didnât work and the shower head in the master was broken (you fixed during the stay) still was a great place and a cozy comfortable stay.
The cabin was in a great location. It was clean and the staff was super helpful when the hot tub wasnât heating. Overall it was a lovely stay.
I gave only four stars because the amenities are lacking. The pots and pans were small and very worn. No wine glasses, broken cooking tools, dull knives, etc. The beds were okay but the pillows were terrible.
Not worth the time - this house needs maintenance.
This house needs maintenance - the ice maker in the refrigerator did not work, the dishwasher is on its last legs, the jacuzzi is not being properly maintained and was not properly installed or hooked up. Several windows had their locks broken off or inoperable. The location is very difficult to find, particularly at night and it needs better exterior lighting to allow for a safe environment for guests outside at night.
This house could be a gem if the owners cared enough to invest any money in it. Everything in this place is old and out dated. We texted Vacasa within about 30 min of our arrival to tell them there was only 2 small pieces of wood for the wood burning stove (the house was at 60 degrees in the middle of winter with only very slow baseboard heat). Vacasa responded quickly that we could drive 5 miles up the road and buy some! Given as much as we paid to stay there for the weekend, the wood should have been complementaryâŠsince the property description fails to state you must bring your own wood! They apparently texted the âteamâ at the property and that person responded the next day saying she/he would bring some up and it never happened. Every pan & utensil that we took out of the cabinet to use had to be scrubbed to get old food off, before we could use it!! The pull out couch clearly had not been cleaned in a LONG time! There was so much debris (ink pens, large pieces of old food), crumbs, and dirt on it and there were no sheets anywhere. The bathrooms had the worst bath tissue. The beds in the downstairs bedroom were so old and creaky it was difficult to get a good nightâs sleep. This is the worst VRBO experience we have ever had. Disappointment is an understatement.
It was perfect for our family of 9 to use for a week to snowboard at Wolf Creek. The space is well-used to fit a family of our size. The kitchen has almost everything we needed. Except knives. There werenât many butter knives or kitchen ones, and all were super dull and useless. Beds were as uncomfortable as another reviewer mentioned, unfortunately. Think camp/camper mattress quality. Hot tub was great once my husband fixed the problem that neither the regular maintenance guy nor the staff bothered to handle. OverallâŠmight use it again. The location, for us, was amazing. We went to South Fork for rentals (loved Docâs), ice skating, and the little grocery store thatâs deceptively bigger than expected.
The place was roomy and accommodating. We had 4 guys, so it was nice not to have to share beds and to be able to spread out the snorers.
Pros:
-Spacious open feel
-Hot tub
-Everything as advertised
-About as close to Wolf Creek as you can get
Cons: (these are minor picky things)
-Cookware was pretty basic
-Had to do some snow shoveling to access the back porch
-for some reason I imagined a remote cabin with a pond- it was actually a complex of many cabins on the property- but still quiet with a nice Mountain View
-WiFi is available but is stated in the rules that you canât use it for streaming, we just played board games and never had issues with speed when we needed to look things up.
Also, apologies, I meant to clean up the baby carrot water that dripped in the fridge but forgot, so hopefully that didnât affect anyone elseâs experience negatively.
All in all it was a great stay!
