Terrasse privée donnant sur la branche sud du Rio Grande. Prenez un court sentier à la pittoresque Million Reservior. Entouré par la forêt nationale et des centaines de miles de sentiers pour VTT, vélos de montagne et la randonnée. Médaille d'or de pêche dans la région. ambiance calme, mais à seulement 2 miles de shopping. Avec de nouvelles moquettes et planchers de bois, cette cabine est propre, confortable et bien équipée, avec beaucoup de place pour étaler dans. Connectez-lits, et de nouveaux meubles, grande terrasse extérieure, complètent les vues sur la montagne!

Laissez les foules et les prix élevés de la zone Sommet derrière et de ski de Wolf Creek (20 minutes), le plus de neige dans le Colorado et toujours les billets les moins chers de levage. Chalet est situé à 2 miles jusqu'à Beaver Creek Road de l'autoroute 160 à South Fork et seulement 1/4 mile de la route pavée ... la route est labourée à la porte d'entrée!

Matt claimed the cabin had mold from a small hole left from shower that leaked upstairs and his family had severe allergies. After talking to him he admitted he didn’t have any proof. In 25 years of renting we have never had anything close to mold.i offered to address any cleaning issues but he refused to be specific. I have more bookings than any cabin in the area and 90% are very happy with their stay. There are a few that have unrealistic expectations.

The house was perfect for our family. Being able to ride utvs right from the house was a bonus. The house was exactly as described and we didn't find anything wrong with it. The kitchen had everything we needed for our meals and we are a family of homemade meals. Check in was simple get the code and go inside and start enjoying. We would rent again and there are several lakes close by for fishing, win win!!

The house was perfect for our big family. My only complaint is it didn’t seem like the floors were vacuumed before we got there! Not an issue with the stay though!

Loved how much shared space there was for our group to have dinner together, hang out in the living room, and enjoy the deck and fire pit outside. We didn’t spend a ton of time at the house during the day, but it was exactly what we needed at night, spacious and great for relaxing. That said, the house could’ve been a bit cleaner when we arrived, and the upstairs shower was really small, so most of us ended up using the one downstairs. Still, overall a great spot for a group trip.

We were here to ski Wolf Creek and explore. Location is great, it needs a deep cleaning, layout is good, strange to have the dryer in the beadroom away from washer. It will do. Pleanty of beds.

Perfect Location; Excellent Experience

The house was exactly what we expected and better. It’s unpretentious, not fancy, not overly modern, but just what we needed as a family on a vacation to southern Colorado. It’s within minutes of the Beavercreek Reservoir, and the Big Meadows Reservoir, great for fishing with Kids. One of our best experiences yet. We will come again!

Very nice

Eating and cooking. Plenty of pots, pans, silverware, dishes. Good stock of basic spices and accessories. Lots and lots of beds. Great location, e.g. national forest, South Fork, Pagosa Springs. Looking forward to returning next summer.

Perfect location!

The perfect location for our family outing. Cabin was as advertised with plenty of room and amenities during our stay and great communication with the owner. The fire pit, gas grill, and backyard river access for fishing and wading was fantastic for all ages. Very close to town, stores, and several restaurants. But it’s all about the great outdoors and this place offers breath taking views and close to great hiking at multiple trails and fishing at Million reservoir. We will be back!!!

Adventure Headquarters

Dan's place is the perfect size for our large group of ten to act as a base camp for exploring the area on our motorcycles. Fully stocked kitchen, variety of sleeping areas, and a large relaxing front deck. This is our second stay with Dan because it fits our needs so well. There was a surprise visitor, we're assuming a bear, that had knocked over the dumpster and spread trash everywhere before we got there. It just took us a little while to get everything back in order. Luckily, we had no run-ins with the bear while we were there!

Nice location; needs cleaning

While the cabin was in a nice location and the owner was very responsive and helpful when we had some pre-trip questions, the cabin was not the cleanest, especially upstairs. Also, we had lots of snow/precipitation and there is no gravel/concrete parking so it turned into a sloppy mess.

Hunting and vacation stay

We were here to hunt and to have a vacation and enjoy the stay in Colorado. The cabin was nice, it was dated and could use some updating. We did find a few things that would have been a better opinion of the house, and that is, it could have been cleaned better and that the dishes were cleaned. I might find another house keeper. Just a thought. We did enjoy our visit and we always love coming to Colorado!

Wonderful location

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We had 2 couples & 5 children. The kids had a great time at the river. We rode our side by sides straight from the property to the trails and rode over 250 miles in the week we stayed there. There is a beautiful lake really close by and the fishing was excellent. South Fork was a great place to go if you want to get away from the crowds. The only negative was a few areas could have been cleaned better. The upstairs bathroom shower and the kitchen. I think people before us put away some pots & pans that were still dirty. Overall, I would stay here again!

Great location - Dirty Cabin

Cabin location was great. Heaters barely work which wouldn't be an issue if the wood for the stove wasn't buried in snow. Cabin was almost unbearably dirty. Scum in all the bathrooms. Not acceptable, especially during the times of covid. Property manager rebuttal not necessary-we will not be back.

I have never seen my cleaning lady miss cleaning the bathrooms but its hard to address cleaning issues after the fact. If you would have called i could have sent her over to address the issue. and i suggest you find a cabin that doesn't involve bringing in firewood because it does snow in the mountains.

Great location and size!

The location was excellent for skiing at Wolf Creek. Five families stayed in this 5 bedroom cabin. The size was great! The price was amazing, also! The only complaint I have is that the showers and tubs had buildup of soap scum. I looked for bathroom cleaner and a brush to just clean it myself, but was unable to find any. I suspect they were in the closet that was locked. Due to the great price and the excellence of everything else, I would definitely come back (but with bathroom cleaner and a brush in hand. LOL). I would definitely recommend staying at this cabin!!

Highly disappointed!

Lots of dishes were extremely dirty, sheets on one of the beds were full of fiberglass shards and my brother woke up itching like crazy, mold in showers, stairs were not shoveled and we’re covered in a massive ice block, smoke backdrafts out of the chimney through poorly sealed window into one of the bedrooms upstairs.

Dirty

This cabin is in such a great location, but we showed up to a disgusting house. There were crumbs on the tables, floors and couches. Stains on the walls, the showers were dirty (and the upstairs shower leaks down into the bedroom ceiling below). Just a general lack of cleaning and maintenance throughout. Patio furniture and chairs were falling apart and probably a liability for the owner. We spent a good 3 hours cleaning before we even settled in, not a great start to our get-a-way. Also there was a propane grill but there was no propane.

Dan Schmedeman (owner) has designed and built dozens of log homes through out the Colorado Rockies. There is no place in Colorado more scenic then South Fork, and our cabin is setting in the middle of one of the nicest location in the area. After a few days at the cabin, you will not want to go home.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

My favorite time is the early spring or fall when i can get up early, get my cup of coffee and walk down to the river or Million Resevoir for some great trout fishing.
