Perfect location

We stayed here while we were in town for our daughter's wedding. The location was perfect, close to everything, but surrounded by lush trees and birds singing throughout the day. The lower level master bedroom with bath was perfect for my elderly mother who has difficulty climbing stairs. The owners were very nice and even dropped off candles in case we lost power during some rough storms that came through the area. We would absolutely stay here again.!

Great Buckhead Location

Wonderful Place to Stay

We had an amazing stay! I stayed here with my husband, in laws and 2 small kids for a wedding nearby and we absolutely loved it. The house was spacious and the property was beautiful - my kids loved the chickens!! Our hosts were very friendly and professional, and the neighborhood was gorgeous. I would absolutely stay again if we find ourselves in Atlanta again!

Comfortable home

Rachel and David's guest house is a great set-up. We had several friends staying there for a reunion. Sleeping for 8 in 4 separate rooms worked well. The kitchen has good equipment. The outdoor courtyard has nice seating and a dining table. Rachel and David were very helpful with getting the patio heater set-up on a chilly night. We also enjoyed an indoor fire in the gas fireplace. The setting is private and bucolic.

Elegant peace amidst upscale Atlanta

Our family of 3 adult couples very much enjoyed the peace of this stay. It was so private and quiet despite being close to the busy Buckhead area. We were able to work remotely, relax as a family and attend a wedding in comfort. Also enjoyed the chickens, barn cat and rope swing. Great place.

High end neighborhood in Atlanta

The Barton’s were very responsive. The gas fireplace was broken and couldn’t be fixed. They were kind to give us candles to put in the fireplace, though. What a lovely garden, including chickens and deer living there on 1.5 acres in an excellent location. Highly recommended.

What an amazing home away from home!!

The pictures, as amazing as they are, don’t do this home justice. It’s beautiful and has such charm. We were in ATL for a friends wedding and we took two grandkids along with us and we all equally enjoyed our stay. We can’t say enough about our host, Rachel. She was so helpful and kind and not intrusive in the least. We go back to ATL periodically to visit our friends and hope to stay here again. Highly recommend!!

Spacious, Comfortable, and Clean

This was an excellent property, exactly as described, with plenty of room for a larger family to gather together yet also retreat to their own spaces. There are also two large desks, one in a more private living area, that were perfect for working remotely. Internet access and speed was excellent. Everything in the house was very clean and neat. The house's location is very convenient to shopping, grocery stores, and restaurants as well as attractions in northern and downtown Atlanta. We especially enjoyed the chickens, and the parking at the property was very accessible and convenient. The hosts were very friendly and pleasant to talk to. We very much enjoyed their hospitality and our stay!

Beautiful, Relaxing, City retreat

I like to provide honest reviews including both pros and cons. We own rental properties too, and I always want to know what people really think. So, 5/5 but always room for improvement :) We stayed here while our daughter had a surgery at Northside hospital. It was not far away from the hospital, grocery stores, etc. we were back and forth a lot. The hurricane knocked out power for two nights and the owners, which are right next door in the attached main house, brought candles, flashlights and dry ice. They had two dogs that were friendly, not too much barking, unless they were gone and other workers were on the property. The house itself is a gem, but it is old. It does have a musty smell that some may not care for. We got used to it, but important to note for people with allergies/respiratory issues. The temperature needed to stay constant at 73 degrees, but we were never uncomfortable. The property is gorgeous with big tall trees and seclusion from the road. There were some kitchen items that I needed, but I made it work anyway. A mixer, cookie sheets, and older pots and pans that didn’t have the proper sized lids. There were plenty of spices, oils and commonly used products that were definitely a bonus! There was laundry detergent too! Everything was clean and tidy. The furniture in the living room was antique and worn, but plenty of blankets and pillows to get cozy. The owners were responsive, helpful and sweet! We really enjoyed our stay! I hope this helps!

We had a wonderful stay at this home. Our host gave excellent instructions, welcomed us and was available if needed. The home was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed, including a well-stocked kitchen! It was also perfect for guests who need handicapped access. In addition we enjoyed visiting some of the local restaurants, the Atlanta History Museum, the Blue Heron Nature Preserve, Chastain Park, and more! The outdoor living space at this home was also a treat. The patio was inviting and comfortable, plus we enjoyed the seeing the chickens. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

The property and the hosts were amazing! Truly a retreat in Buckhead. It was very peaceful— it was exactly what our group was looking for. Rachael and David were wonderful, and very accommodating. Great place in Buckhead for family wedding

Rachel the host was very responsive. We arrived to a basket of two bags of chips for snacks and bottle of wine. The location was perfect! The house was clean and plenty of room. We really enjoyed our visit and was able to spend extra time with family because we had this vrbo! We had an issue with the lock and the host helped us resolve (new batteries needed for key pad). This was fixed quickly and host was very kind about it. I would recommend this for central location and plenty of room.

We enjoy hosting out of town and local guests in this comfortable guest house. We are a family of five with three boys, two of whom are out on their own. Having lived in Atlanta since 1987, we have watched the city grow into the welcoming and robust city it is today.
We are avid baseball fans, Go Braves! Need a great restaurant recommendation? Place to play tennis or swim? Happy to provide suggestions as needed. We hope you enjoy Atlanta as much as we do. Enjoy your stay!

As a private getaway, this property is in the heart of the town, only being 15 minutes away from Suntrust Park, Mercedes Benz stadium and a 5 minute ride to the best shopping and eating in Atlanta. The house is privately nestled on 1.5 acres. Guests can enjoy lovely sunsets, refreshing walks throughout some of the most beautiful streets in Atlanta. Come enjoy the city and a private getaway, away from the hustle at days end. Secluded getaway in the middle of Buckhead.

It is rare to experience a Buckhead estate on a short term visit to Atlanta. Built in the 1930's, Woodsway invites to the house down a graceful and private drive. Coming around to the rear of the home to park, you will see the chicken coop and tree swing - perfect for entertaining the younger ones.

Enter the guest house through the patio with ample seating, outdoor dining, and patio lights to add to the ambiance. The main level is fully accessible with doorways in excess of 37" and parking adequate for two vehicles requiring disability access.
