This little apartment is so well planned in a small spaceâŠeverything you need has a spot! Ignoring the entry from the street you will be surprised inside the apartmentâŠthe decor is stunning & the bed is like a cloud. The location on Santa Croce is straight in from Porta Elisa âŠperfect for accessing both the walled city and the town of Lucca (large grocery store called Esselunga is a lovely 20 minute walk). We would highly recommend this place. Also, communication was excellent with Michael and his on site staff.
The photos are true and things do look beautiful. But in the living space, no chairs are comfortable to actually use. The bed, although very high, is very comfortable and was the best place to relax.
The apartment is located well, but very dark and unfortunately we had to deal with builders and noisy scaffolding for our stay over the road.
Check in and contact was prompt.
Apt is small, but extremely well situated just a few steps to either Duomo or Pza St Michele. Very quiet in daytime and niight. Space on ground floor to store bikes. Everything in the apt worked perfectly, which is not always the case in historic apts in Italy. Kitchen well stocked w/ dishes and cooking utensils. We didn't have to buy anything except food. All furniture in good condition and very tasteful. Owners are fantastic and extremely helpful. Ps parking nearby, but free city parking only a 10 minute walk -- 5 minute bike ride. The apt is really a delight and we will be back! Janna and Dave
We've been involved with Lucca since 2005 and now own and manage several apartments inside the historic walls along with our concierge travel planning service www.adagiolucca.com. Come join us in Lucca!
Adagio, situated on Santa Croce just five minutes from Porta Elisa, provides excellent comfort and elegance for 1-2 people. With a "petite" apartment, you have all the amenities needed for short stays in Lucca and a perfect location that provides access to all the areas you'll want to visit both inside the walls, on top of the walls, and in the surrounding neighborhoods. As many of our guests say, "Adagio feels like home."
