Vivez des vacances en famille ou des escapades romantiques inoubliables chez The Rusty Truck Adobe. Venez profiter du confort luxueux de nos 3 chambres, 3 salles de bains en adobe rempli d’art, situées sur un hectare et offrant une vue imprenable sur le mont Taos et la chaîne de Sangre de Cristo. Nous avons 3 espaces extérieurs différents pour profiter des vues à 360 degrés, de magnifiques levers de soleil, couchers de soleil et observation des étoiles. Détendez-vous dans notre bain à remous les poursuivre avec des vues coûteuses et un ciel panoramique spectaculaire la nuit. Nous sommes situés au centre et à seulement 10 minutes en voiture de Taos Plaza et à 20 minutes de Taos Ski Valley.

L'espace:
Le Rusty Truck Adobe a été meublé avec amour avec des portes et des meubles faits à la main. Des voyages dans le monde entier ont livré un trésor d'art folklorique unique, d'antiquités américaines, d'objets de collection contre la rouille, de trésors de la nature et bien sûr de nos propres sculptures et peintures. Nous espérons que vous vous sentirez immédiatement comme chez vous et à la maison lorsque vous entrerez dans la maison. Chaque pièce est baignée de lumière naturelle et offre des vues spectaculaires. Elle a été conçue avec amour et confort.

Master Suite 1: lit king size, foyer au bois, salle de bain privée, dressing, portes-fenêtres donnant sur la cour arrière avec vue magnifique depuis le lit sur le lever du soleil.
Master Suite # 2: lit Queen, salle de bain avec baignoire, dressing et vue sur la montagne Taos.
Chambre double: 2 lits jumeaux, dressing avec vue sur le coucher du soleil.

Cuisine ouverte avec îlot: équipée d'appareils électroménagers, elle fournit toutes sortes d'ustensiles de cuisine, ustensiles de cuisine et plats de service pour le partage de repas de toutes tailles.

Fantastic stay in Taos

Three of us had a great time at Carmi's place. The property is beautiful inside & out; we loved finding new art around every corner. The kitchen was well-stocked above & beyond the basics--we especially appreciated the coffee & tea selection the first morning before we got to the grocery story. The hot tub was great and the cover was SO easy for one person to open & close--made sunrise + late night dips possible since some of us are early birds while others are night owls. We loved having privacy & views on every side while being just a short drive to food, the plaza, hiking, etc. We reached out to the property manager George once when power went out during a storm; he was super helpful & confirmed it was a general blackout in the area & nothing in the house itself. Overall it was a fantastic stay & we are already talking about possibly returning. Thanks so much!

Spacious house with amazing views

Our extended family really enjoyed staying at Carmi’s place in El Prado. There is a ton of space, including two bedrooms with en suite baths. The kitchen was very well equipped, but pots and pans seemed to have been put away dirty, so we had to wash everything out before using it. Our bed was comfortable with nice linens. The shower in the largest bathroom took a long time to heat up, but the other showers warmed up much more quickly. The house was toasty warm, even when it was quite cold outside. We loved the hot tub! The area is beautiful and there are great views from all the windows. It’s about a 10 minute drive to the Plaza and a half hour to the Ski Valley. We found it to be a good home base for our time in Taos!

Raves for the Rusty Truck Adobe

We had a wonderful stay at the Rusty Truck in late June through mid-July. What a gorgeous setting, very private, with amazing views throughout the day! It was a perfect, spacious place for my husband and me and one of our adult children, with three bedrooms. Even better, the master suite (huge, with walk-in closet and fabulous bathroom) is separated from the other bedrooms and bathrooms by the living/dining/kitchen, so you really can get some privacy when you need it. We had everything we needed in the kitchen -- pots, pans, utensils, etc -- for cooking and really enjoyed using the new grill. The Internet was amazing -- we have stayed in Taos during the summer off and on for 15 years and have never had such good Internet. That was a huge plus, since we both had to do a little work. And Sondra, the property manager, was terrific, very helpful and available when we needed her to help us solve a Dish TV issue. She did so with a smile on her face -- thank you! Can't say enough good things about the Rusty Truck, from the space to the view to the privacy to the amenities to sitting out on the patio and enjoying a star-filled sky. It's truly a wonderful place to spend any vacation, in this case our first since COVID hit. It was magical! We can't wait to go back!

My Whole Family Congratulated Me For Finding This Place!

Carmi's house is not only beautiful, spacious, and well planned to accommodate a whole family very comfortably, but there are details around every corner that make this place ultra special. There are tastefully selected art pieces and antiques placed in just the right spots both inside and outdoors that lend a whimsical ambience to the experience. My favorite part was sitting in the awesome hot tub at night and looking at the incredible night sky-- so full of stars that you never got bored of looking. The whole family was impressed by how well equipped the kitchen was and we couldn't stop marveling over it every time we made a meal together. The grounds are stunning and extensive, and Carmi's house is surrounded by really healthy trees of all kinds-- we even noticed a pear tree in one corner and would love to come back in the late summer/fall to see/sample the fruit! Carmi communicated with us just the right amount-- giving us some dining and activity suggestions before our arrival and then a very relaxed, no pressure check-in about the gardeners doing a really quick planting while we were there. It was a pleasure to stay in this home, and we felt utterly free AND well taken care of the whole time. Thank you, Carmi!

Beautiful house. Amazing location.

The house itself is quite spacious and beautiful but it’s the location that sets it into an amazing experience. Few houses around with almost zero sound except the wind. Morning views of the sunrise over the mountains. Stellar night sky views while relaxing in the hot tub. Family games by the wood burning Kiva. We all enjoyed it so much.

Loved the rusty truck house

We really enjoyed the week at this wonderful property. Amazing views of mountains from the front and back outdoor gathering spaces, spent much time sitting outdoor and enjoying the views (and birds and bunnies). . Well positioned for getting to glorious hiking along the road to Taos Ski Valley. Comfortable beds in separate master suites. Accommodating well stocked kitchen. I’d stay here again!!

The Best

Perfect Takis

Our stay in Taos was everything we hoped. The house is in a convenient location to Taos and an easy drive to the ski resort. The kitchen had everything we needed...except I might have made homemade pizza if it had a mixer. As it was, we enjoyed great takeout pizza from Pizano’s, and I soaked in the hot tub while my husband drove to pick it up. No complaints here. Thanks, Carmi, for sharing your space.

Great getaway

The process of renting this property was so easy. Both owner and property manager were easy to contact and quick to respond. We loved the lay out of the home. Spent a lot of our time on the patio with great views.

Great home and location

Beautiful heated-floor property with hot tub which were both important as it reached the negative numbers! Cozy house perfect for us- 2 teens, 2 parents and 2 grandparents. The kids enjoyed sledding on nearby hills and making a snowman in the back yard. The house is complete for families like ours with board games and satellite TV- Disney and other movie channels. Quiet location. Max 15 min. to anywhere in town and max 30 min to the ski valley during “rush hour” (ie to get the kids to ski school by 9). Perfect location for everything we wanted to do. We had a wonderful stay.

Great stay close to Taos Ski Valley

Five of us stayed here for a ski vacation to Taos Ski Valley. We loved the location of the house -- within 30 minutes of Taos Ski Valley and 10 minutes of downtown Taos. Great views of the mountains all around! The home is spacious and nicely furnished. We appreciate that it was well equipped with kitchen and bathroom supplies. The hot tub was warm and waiting for us! Carmi communicated promptly with us before and during our stay. Overall this home contributed to an outstanding vacation for us. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful relaxing time. No hassles with check in. Great location with good privacy in back yard. No homes to interrupt your Mountain View. House is very comfortable. Might need a few more details about how to use TV, but we were not there to watch TV anyway.

Location and Atmosphere!

A short drive to Taos, as well as very convenient to Taos Ski Valley and it’s many hiking trails, this was perfect for us. Well appointed, delightful back patio with outstanding views, and a new jacuzzi made each day delightful.

Wonderful, inviting home!

We had a wonderful stay with our three children! The house is not only beautiful, but situated in a location that has amazing views of the mountains. It is just a short drive to Taos, and convenient to Taos Ski Valley, as well as many other beautiful sites. From here we were able to see the Gorge Bridge, go skiing, Taos Pueblo, and visit the Earthship Biotecture, without having to travel far! Everything was so thoughtfully set up - the master suite is to die for! We loved the new hot tub and relaxing after a long hike or skiing while under the stars was breathtaking. The neighborhood is quiet with houses far enough apart that you have the privacy you need. There are some great grocery options not too far away as well. We loved Cid's Food Market that had great hot bar options that met our son's dietary needs (we weren't able to eat out much.) The bedrooms were perfect for us and it was nice to have 3 bathrooms total. The heated floors felt wonderful during the chilly nights. Overall, we were so happy to have found this gem, and fell in love with Taos. Thanks for a great stay!

Originally from the Midwest, our family have resided on and off in Taos for over 25 years. We first came here for the winter sports and arts and now hooked on all the magic of Taos, enchanted New Mexico and our special adobe home.
