Great place to stay! Excellent communication with the owners, easy checkin, adorable house, super comfy beds and everything you will need to feel at home!
We had a blast! 2- 68 yr olds, 2- 40 yr olds, 5 kids 12-18 yr olds. Sleeping was cozy and we all got a kick out of it. We made jokes of it feeling like âThe WaltonsââŠ.âgoodnight JohnBoyââŠ.Weâd definitely stay there again!!!
Seven guys one bedroom, how is that going to work. Everyone in our group was questioning my judgement. It worked out great, everyone had their own bed, very comfortable and having one bathroom was not an issue, plenty of hot water. We were up snowmobiling, so coming home and having a large area to unwind was great, easy sleding right out the door. The kitchen was well equipped lots of pots and pans.
Such a cute, clean place. Host was easy to communicate with and so helpful! Loved this spot, was perfect for my group and I to stay at while skiing a short way away at Snow River Ski Resort.
Perfect place for a weekend getaway. It is a small house, but the open concept creates space for a good-sized group. I will rent this property in the future.
I couldnât have ask for a better stay very clean spacious close to about five waterfalls porcupine mountains 15 minutes away we loved our stay didnât wanna go back home. The neighbors were nice. The host were very nice. I canât say enough about this place we will be back. We loved it going down in the family history books as one of the best stays ever I would give this place 20 stars if I could price unbeatable
Great communication with host, super easy check in and check out, clean and new updated interior, smaller than I imagined⊠A/C downstairs never really blew cold - overall very good but would be excellent with a better A/C
It was as pictured. The garden tub was dirty and gross. The houses around us were abandoned. It was quiet. We were there in winter, snow accumulated over 8 inches 2 days. No problem, we r yoopers, but NO street plowing, no actual shovel. We had our own shovel and capable vehicles. Love the surrounding towns, lots to do. No heat upstairs, but plenty of blankets. Oven was smokey and dirty, but worked. Great hot water and heater downstairs, just needs to overflow up. We also live in old house, we had vents to get heat up, and electric fireplace...just a suggestion. Beds on the floor everywhere. No foundations, low ceilings..good for young kids or teens. Overall...Meh.
Cute, clean little spot! The upstairs is all one open space with 6 beds- one super comfy Tempur-pedic queen, There are three other queen mattresses and two twin beds. Everything we needed, property was always plowed quickly and well maintained. Only bummer was the tub as there was only enough hot water to fill up 1/4 of the way- totally unusable- but the shower worked great. Otherwise, it was a great spot for our family!
House was very close to the Snow River ski area. Nice and convenient to the town of Wakefield with gas and a Dollar general. Also the bakery has very good donuts, and pastys. Our first time to the UP and first time using a VRBO. Nina the host was very helpful with our questions. And even allowed a late drop of one day with a refund. This was due to the plan of bringing our snowmobiles but NO snow. The neighbor was very nice too! Hearing his stories makes me want to come back next year with more snow! House is updated and clean with everything you need.
This little lodge worked well for our needs for our family of 7 for a Monday-Friday stay. The house was clean, comfortable and affordable. It was important that we had a wi fi connection that was reliable and we were pleased that our son was able to log in for work purposes. He didnât have any connectivity issues. The nearby town had a great bakery and a cute locally sourced gift shop. We recommend both! As we were there in summer and werenât in area to ski, we spent our time taking day trips between 30 min to one hour+ away from the house. This house would really be ideal for the winter visitor as ski destinations are close by, but it worked out well for our needs and we would stay here again.
This is a quiet old mountain mining cabin outside of town.
It is well insulated and warm. We were in town for 4 days of ski racing and it was perfect for me and my son. We brought our own radio, cooked great food, and skied hard. The last night we went to El Tarasco and it was good.
Cabin,:great comfortable downstars. You could fit 8 people easy on seats around the days video on tv. Upstairs is a loft like room with one main queen bed and two twins. In various old remodeled closets and rooms are many other really comfortable looking beds, just a bit tougher to get into. You could fit a good crew of 5 buddies here or many more families and kids that can share a space.
Thanks to the owners.
The owner, Nina, is very friendly and responsive. We had an issue with the driveway being covered with 1.5ft of snow when we arrived (late afternoon). It seemed the contracted snow plow service was slow (it snowed the day before), but it was cleared promptly after I contacted Nina.
The place is nice and well maintained. The beds and pillows were on the soft side. Lighting was dimmer than what we're used to, especially in the living room, dining room and upstairs. There's no wifi and the freezer is in the basement. These did not diminish that it was a nice and cozy place, we just had to adjust our expectations.
Very clean, cute, and convenient. Just a short drive for us to ice skate, downhill ski, and cross country ski in the area. We made all our meals and the kitchen had all the items we needed. Would stay again next time we are up in this area!
Clean.. cozy... comfortable... quiet.. peaceful.. easy to find.. great communication with the host..great location for our first annual family vacation.. we explored out about 45.min away from falls amd parks and sight seeing.
This home was absolutely perfect! This was the cleanest VRBO weâve ever stayed in! The location is perfect with waterfalls and trails everywhere. We had an amazing time. Thank you so much.
We are a a nurse and airplane mechanic couple with 4 kids. We enjoy downhill skiing, visiting waterfalls, looking for unique rocks and driftwood, swimming at Sunday Lake, 4th of July Fireworks, and water skiing.
This property is set up for families, but is equally comfortable for couples or friends wanting to stay together for some time away. It's fully furnished and all furniture and bedding is new within the last year. It feels like Home and we know you'll love it! You're nearby town, but yet close to the wilderness. Great cell phone service that's proven/tested with Sprint, Verizon, At&t and US Cellular. We're sure other networks work well too.
In the Heart of the Snow Belt! Very close by to Ski resorts, UTV trails, snowmobile trails, fat bike trails, waterfalls, lakes for ice fishing, and premiere cross-country skiing trails. We have local attraction guides available at the property to help make your stay memorable!
